Amazing food! Everything we ordered was delicious. It didn’t take too long for the food to come out either.

Fresh, high quality ingredients at a very reasonable prices. We ordered half buffalo chicken pizza and half fresco supreme and they were both very good. Also had the Cobb salad which was a generous portion. The only thing lacking there was the dressing, it was bland. Staff was courteous and food came out quickly. Seating is only 5 booths and a counter though so the place is pretty small if you have a large group.

Great pizza and pasta. My kids love their bread stick. Restaurant is tiny though. Very few tables so I mostly order take-out.

There was no yelling, just an inability for wait staff or ownership to make the situation right. Just as I said, for a $ 2.50 bait and switch they LOST a customer. I feel the need to advise future patrons of the less than satisfactory service and attitude of this establishment. Simple as that!

We ordered veggie pizza & pasta, they were tasteless. Wouldn’t recommend at least vegetarian food

I have eaten here a number of times and each time the food has been consistently fabulous. Super fresh ingredients, creative menu, large portions and organic. Keep up the great work! Tuscan Turkey Burger is tremendously delicious!

My family loves the pizzas from Fresco, particularly the Spicy Texas BBQ Chicken. The crust is thin and toppings are flavorful. I would also highly recommend the Mushroom Mama. I have always taken my order to go and this is where I take away a star. I’ve picked up from here many, many times now, and I’ve learned to always add 5 minutes to the time they estimate. Even with my safety time gap, I still end up waiting another 5 – 10 minutes in the restaurant for my pizza to be ready. One time, I had arrived to pick up my pizza and they informed me it had not started cooking yet! However, I can live with this issue because their pizzas are really very good.

The pizza is good. I’d say a 7 on a scale of 1 – 10. The poor girl working here has no way of keeping up. No one is bussing tables. She is running around(literally running) around hot ovenswith a line out the door and about to be 0 slices of pizza available. Every pizza that comes out of the oven goes in a to go box out the door. She has a smile on her face but she is getting crushed. We had to remind her to put our pizza in the oven. This is a management problem. Nice employees smiling at customers and trying to do their job while severely understaffed. If I were the owner I’d be in here helping. By the other Unilocal reviews it sounds like this is a common problem. Too bad. The food is pretty good.

Great pizza with an unwanted side of apathy. It doesn’t matter how good the food is if your first impression is a negative one. The Service After reading the bi-polar reviews of Fresco it’s clear to me that this place is poorly managed. The problem isn’t with the food, it’s with the service. The women taking the orders clearly received no training on how to deal with people and how to turn a negative experience into a positive one. As I was chowing down on my pizza I couldn’t help but notice the interactions between the cashier and people ordering food. For whatever reason, Fresco wasn’t ready for a Saturday lunch service. Many pizza slices were out, no bread sticks, and other items«weren’t ready yet». Fair enough, but it was the complete apathy of the front worker that soured a few customers. One example was when a women ordered some food and bread sticks. Cashier coldly states the bread sticks hadn’t been made and would be till later in the afternoon. A minute later while the customer was waiting she notices that a large order of bread sticks were being pulled out of the oven. Now, had the cashier been trained she would have walked 10 feet to the cook and asked when the next batch would be ready. A sale would have been made, and a customer would have been happy. Another common example was when someone wanted a cheese slice. «We’re out». Cashier didn’t even bother to ask the cook when the next one would be ready. So now image this type of apathy for 5 more people during my visit. The Food The Pizza had an amazingly crisp and flavorful crust. Topping were also quality which made this a great choice for a quick bite. I also had the Rancho Chicken Salad. Their sauce(dressing) made this a good choice too. The hamburger wasn’t a hit with me(but was with everyone else). Two frozen disc patties, mmm no thanks. Summary The food was good but when service is cold and not helpful there isn’t a good reason to come back. — They had a nice homemade iced tea. — Their silverware is in a dirty dish bin. Didn’t know if it was dirty or clean. — Employees were smile-less, cold, and apathetic. Where the hell was the owner?

They have great pizza ready to go. The topping combinations are exquisite i.e. Mushroom pesto and mozzarella! The beer selection is great! At least 15 beers on tap! Ranging all across San Diego and imports! Great spot for a quick bite n beer

Frescos is an amazing local neighborhood restaurant! The staff and service is great and the owner takes time to talk to you. The gluten free pasta and pizza are delicious and it’s nice to eat a hamburger again with a gluten free bun. Beers on tap are a nice addition as well as the new patio. Love the wine pours too! My husband and daughter enjoy getting a pizza by the slice. The wings, salads and entrée items are fresh and the portions are great. Love this place!!!

This was the first time that I tried this place. No employee was paying attention when I walked in around 7:45. First, I did not know I should seat first or order and seat. It appears that there were 4 – 5 helpers and we were the only customers. They close at 9 pm but I had an impression from employees that they are ready to close or they have no interest to accommodate customers. Also no credit card, cash only! I orderred an angry shrimp pasta and medium spicy texas chicken pizza and couple of draft beer. I was surprised that a $ 14.50 pasta does not come with any italian bread nor any sides! Pizza was okay for the price but too sweet for my taste. Food was ok. But I had to give 2 stars for the service and the pasta with no bread to accompany.

I couple of fair slices of pizza were in order when I stopped by this place. I ordered the slices with a drink for $ 7.25. I ordered the pesto and mushroom slice, the Marguerite slice, and a self serve unsweetened iced tea. Unfortunately, they did not have the iced tea ready because they individuals responsible the night before did not make the tea. I don’t drink soda and was not willing to wait an hour for iced tea, so I drank water. I figured they would offer me a refund for the drink, but they did not. Anyways, the pizza slices were okay. The pesto and mushroom slice tasted good and came with a very good amount of cheese, and good dolloping of garlicky pesto sauce, and tender mushrooms. The Marguerite was alright. The tomatoes were fresh and the basil aromatic and flavorful, but the slice had no garlic, which is a key component of a good Marguerite pizza. Also, it could of used a dash of salt. One thing both slices had that I did not like, was a soft and limp crust and soft center, especially towards the center or tips. I could not hold up the slice because they would hang down, so I had the eat them with a knife and fork. A little crispier crust with a nice inner chewy texture would be nice. Service was okay, but I sure wish they were ready when they opened with that ice tea, and I would of liked, that«little crunch with each bite.»

Came here for lunch. We walked in and sat at a booth towards the back. Hubby orders me a Santa Fe chicken sandwich with fries while he orders two slices of pizza with two drinks. The drink station was Coke products. That’s a plus in my book! My order came out first. My sandwich was good and had a chicken slice with a pesto green sauce that has some spice in it, mushrooms and a green pepper. Fries were crunchy but a few of them were not fully cooked. I had a light lemonade to drink. The bread was crunchy and fresh. I enjoyed my meal. While I was eating, the lady forgot to make my hubby’s slices of pizza. We waited 20 minutes for the pizza slices. Unbelievable! Hubby goes and tells the lady. The lady said sorry, and the guy who brought the pizza slices apologized too. If they didn’t, I would have given them a lower rating. I truly believe that efficiency and communication is key. I really think the employees here need to pay more attention to the orders or else we would be waiting for an eternity for our food. There’s no table service here. They give you your food and that’s it. You refill your drinks at the drink station. I decided to toss my trash and leave the tray. I don’t think I would come back. It’s too far a drive. We just happened to be in the area. Just wanted to try it out.

I’ll have the Mushroom Mama Artisan Pizza please! Yum, yum, yum! If you love mushrooms on your pizza, you will definitely enjoy the Mushroom Mama. We were on our way home from the beach when I suggested pizza for dinner. I was able to put an online order through Fresco’s Unilocal page and immediately received a confirmation that it would be ready in 20 – 30 minutes. I couldn’t believe how quick and easy it was to order through Unilocal on my phone. I’ve only ever had the Mushroom Mama($ 15) and the pizza is very tasty. I have yet to deviate from the menu, because I am obsessed with this white pizza. The drizzle of the truffle oil ties the entire flavor profile of this pizza perfectly. It’s like a little symphony in my mouth ringing in every possible flavor. The artisan pizzas only come in 12″ sizes and range anywhere from $ 13 to $ 16.50. They are made with premium Italian aged cheeses, mozzarella and organic marinara sauce. Mushroom Mama Pizza: White pizza, mozzarella, fontina, ricotta, sauteed portobello, white mushrooms, with truffle oil, white garlic sauce, and touch of basil pesto.

5 Stars For Sure!!! I’ve been there 3 or 4 times in about 10 days. I’ve had their gluten free pizza, regular pizza, angry shrimp pasta, and the light chicken Parmesan. I’ve posted some pictures for all of your viewing pleasure! I’ve thoroughly enjoyed all of them! My favorite go to out of the is definitely the angry Shrimp pasta. The heat is perfect and I love to get it with extra Zucchini, which is by far my favorite vegetables. While I haven’t eaten the other stuff on the menu(yet) I greatly appreciate that they have gluten free options(bread, crust, and pasta), which is helpful for my better half. They also use Grassfed Beef in their burgers! It’s nice eating somewhere that has ethical options. They have a couple wattles inside the establishment, but I recommend you go sit outside on the patio in the back! Oh, yeah, they also have many craft beers on tap! Total score!

3.5 stars, but room to round down. It’s 5pm on a Thursday, I ordered 2 kids meals, 3 breadsticks, a cheesecake bar, and a slice of pizza for delivery about 2 miles away. The minimum delivery charge is $ 20, hence the cheesecake and breadsticks I didn’t really need(but heck, to skip a drive there, why not?) I was quoted an hour and ten, and got my food in an hour and twenty which was only annoying because I called early and I didn’t order much, with nothing that really needed to be prepared I wouldn’t think. For slices of pizza they just pick one up from the display case to warm up, so with a total of 2 slices, a kid’s buttered noodles, a pre-made cheesecake bar, and plain-tasting breadsticks and fries, what’s the hold up?! The kids’ fries were soggy and everything was room temperature. I do love their thin crust pizza, and I’ve also tried their burgers, which for a pizza place is surprisingly good. The garlic parmesan breadsticks could use a lot more garlic and parmesan. I’ve had better, and frankly O’s American Kitchen breadsticks are still better than these – wouldn’t order breadsticks again. The caramel apple cheesecake bar had zero apple taste, and the entire cheesecake itself was ruined by the walnuts in every bite. It’s a personal size pre-made cheesecake and the caramel was far from gooey and just tasted okay. I did like that the graham cracker crust taste wasn’t overpowering to the cheesecake, but I guess that was compensated in the walnuts, haha. :(Delivery is convenient but it’s faster and you’ll actually have hot food if you eat there or even order take out.
