Daphnes Greek Cafe

I’m not really a big fan of Greek food. Could it be because I’ve never had it because the sight of a giant hunk of meat spinning around on a stick slightly terrifies me? Possibly. But my coworkers decided to go here for lunch, and I wasn’t going to be the only person who said no. So I decided it’s finally time to try it. So as a person who has never had Greek food this place was really good. Is it incredibly authentic, I have no idea but it was good. The menu was seemingly basic to understand and the food tasted really good. It did seem a little high priced to me for what you got (which is why it’s only 4 stars), but thankfully work was paying. The staff was incredibly friendly and nice and the customer service was just amazing. The place was clean and they were pretty quick to clean the tables after people had left. I would definitely return and may even be willing to try other Greek food because of how good of an experience I had here.

There isn’t much to see
The food is usually blasé
And is the same no matter where you be
It’s Greek food that you know
and it’s very commonplace
My wife likes the chicken soup for her soul
And the gyro makes her heart race
I find it very «eh»
and it’s not very hard to see
that the food that they put on my tray
makes it hard for me to be pleased
TL;DR Average Greek food. Same at every place

Seriously the worst greek food I’ve had in San Diego. Never had falafel this bad ever! I love greek good and this is a bad example!

I like the food here, it’s fresh and tasty. Been here many times. Consistently good. I only give it a 3 star because it’s expensive for what you get. Service is fast and friendly. I love the lemon chicken orzo soup, too bad the serving size is so skimpy.

Great tasting food, a little over priced, but worth it. The portions are decent. Once again the food… it tastes amazing. Satisfies all my taste buds forsure. Overall good serfice!

This is the McDonalds of Greek food. Overpriced, small portions, and they charge 50 cents for a small cup of spicy tzatziki sauce even after ordering a $ 9 dollar lunch. Blah… skip it. At least the service was good and apologetic for having to charge extra for sauce. It is like a Mexican place charging for salsa.
