Great little Mexican palace! I walked in and it did smell a little like burning oil maybe next time open the door to air it out. Besides that my carne asada burrito was really tasty, I added beans cheese and cream to mine. So it was a bit pricey but worth it, I didn’t finish and could have easily shared with my husband. The orange hot sauce is amazing but HOT, their green mild sauce was really delicious exactly how I like it. The woman that took my order tonight was very friendly and welcoming.

The best Mexican food in TS! The other day I went here right at closing time(I didn’t even realize that it was closing time). I walked in and the man working here didn’t think twice about taking my order and he insisted that I do so. He fired everything back up and cooked my some super delicious tacos and chips. I’ll never go to another place in TS again because of this experience. Thank you!

One word: YUM! New to the neighborhood, I stopped in with a couple of friends. We all ordered something different and shared. Everything was delicious, especially the carne asada. It’s a new favorite eatery. So glad we gave it a try.

Carne Asada combo is very good but not a solo steak and it is more like a beef stroganoff

I love this place so much! I’ve lived in Tierrasanta for about 12 years and have always gone to this place. I am very picky when it comes to Mexican food but this place always comes through for me! The carne asada burritos and bean & cheese burritos are my favorite! Their tortillas are so freaking delicious and their hot sauce is my favorite! Definitely try this place out!

This place is authentic Mexican, my wife got the chile relleno, coke, chips, salsa, rice and beans for all less than 10 bucks not bad for some proper home cooked style Mexican food. Rang the order in, took 15 mins. Perfect, we will be back again for sure. Impressed.

Here is what I look for in a taco shop. I will then score them 1 — 10 on each: Clean Facility: 10 Clean Burrito(not sticky, or drippy) 10 Flavor: 9 Salsa Bar: 9 Friendly Staff: 10 Price: 9 Original /Unique Menu items: 5 Overall, super good food, service, fair price. I would not drive across the city, but if you are in T-Town and you need food, this is a solid reliable place. I get take out from there 1 – 2 times per week. Also, huge bonus, you can order online and pay and just walk in to pick-up.

I go to Sergio’s because its close to me, but Chile Peppers still my favorite spot. The owner is a die hard Chargers fan which is awesome! Still this day is my favorite Taco Shop. Parking is horrible but man oh man its so damn good!!!

Best Cali burrito in the whole world I believe. Same goes for the carnitas. Wasn’t a big fan of the enchiladas though. But I would have to say it’s the best Mexican place in San Diego.

I’ve ordered take out twice. I will order again because it’s within walking distance from my house and is very good, but it’s not the best and I’m on a mission to find full-flavored, authentic Mexican food. Here’s what we had: Fish Tacos. 4/5, nice and crispy, but the sauce left something to be desired. California Burrito. 3/5, the meat was plentiful and tasty, but the fries were very dry. They were clearly frozen and I’m not even if sure if they were freshly fried. They seemed to have been previously fried and then tossed into the burrito without being heated up. I’m a sucker for fries in my burrito and the fries completely turned me off from finishing my half. Chicken Quesadilla. 5/5, ordered this for my toddler and ended up eating most of it myself. It was HUGE, the chicken was moist, and just overall delicious for being so simple. I’m disappointed that the quesadilla was my favorite item. 3⁄5 for now, but I will come back here and try some more things to give them another shot. Parking is easy, within walking distance from my house, and extremely convenient/fast.

Took the family for the first try tonight and will definitely be going back. Service was quick, easy, and courteous. Food was great. One thing is for sure, you will not leave this place hungry. The portions are fantastic, especially for the price. Fed my family of 5 for under $ 40, which is awesome for the quality and quantity of food.

This place is the best. Tony the owner is amazing. Always funny and joking with his regulars. His brother and fiancé work there as well and are super funny too. This is right by work so super convenient. Anyone in Tierrasanta knows this a must go to spot! Not to mention they’re chargers fans :) The carne asada is not your average meat it’s beyond flavorful and just perfect. They have lots of salsa options too! They do get busy tho so be prepared to wait for this fresh made amazing mexican food. Everyone wants them for lunch so what do you expect! Thanks Tony and family stay awesome!

I’m always in search of the most delicious carne asada fries. My idea of the most delicious fries is a good fries to topping ratio. That means don’t skimp on the carne asada, cheese and guacamole. I feel like most places don’t skimp on the fries. Anyway, Chile Peppers does a job well done when it comes to carne asada fries — there’s a generous helping of meat and shredded cheese! Delicious and it’s a big order! I’m sure their nachos will be just as tasty! I must also comment on their burritos they’re massive! Their surf and turf burrito is pretty good and they don’t skimp on the shrimp! I’d be curious to try their other burritos as well! The place itself is small with about five or six tables. Prices are decent. Good place if you’re around the area and looking for a good hole in the whole Mexican place.

Chile Peppers has my favorite California burrito. Out of the countless Mexican food places I’ve been to, this is my favorite for the Cali-b. It’s got crispy fries, tender carne asada, and great hot sauce.

This place is AMAZING! Their tortillas are super good and their burritos are delicious. I came here twice while visiting a friend. She really likes this place so she took my here. I got the California burrito was avocado. It was really good and the quality of the meat and the fries were way better than any other California burrito I’ve had. I was really impressed with the place. It was really clean and the staff was super friendly. If you are in the area definitely check this place out, you won’t be disappointed.

Tried for first time tonight. Usually we go down the street, but wanted try something different. Everything was good. Portions are excellent. My only complaint was the rice. It was burned, or scorched tasting. Kinda a bummer. All else was good!

Looking for some Mexican food around me on a Friday evening, this place popped up in my Unilocal.Seemed like a decent enough place from the menu, so I decided to give it a try. Unfortunately for me there seemed to be a entire daycare of children in this place running around and yelling at the top of their lungs. I felt sorry for the staff working at the time, really annoying kids. Place has a extensive menu, even a «California» menu, which features favorite dishes with french fries inside of them(quesadillas, burritos, etc). Ordered a California burrito and some rolled tacos for takeaway. Their salsa bar( ) has quite an extensive collection of different sauces, the dark red being my favorite of them. The orange type being my least favorite, wasn’t very good at all. The California burrito( ) was a very decent size of a burrito, plenty packed full of meat, cheese, fries, pico de gallo and guac that I added for extra. Inside the burrito( ) you can see the ratio of meat to other stuff is well balanced, they weren’t too skimpy on the meat. The ingredients were fresh, fries were crispy but the meat wasn’t really my favorite carne asada. It seemed to lack proper seasoning. Also the cheese was kinda gross for me. The rolled taco #10 combo( ) with chicken was of decent size. The rolled tacos tasted unlike any rolled tacos I’ve ever had at a taco shop, as in the corn they rolled them up in had a weird stale tasting flavor to it and soggy texture(needed cooked longer). The shredded chicken they used inside also tasted off, the meats here are definitely not my favorite. The toppings were plentiful yet I didn’t really care at all for the cheese they used, it tasted very low quality to me. The beans and rice were okay, nothing to really rave about. Looking over their menu, I noticed a regular chicken taco cost $ 3.99, boy thats an expensive taco and they didn’t look too big either. I can see why other posters have commented on how expensive this place is. Overall, I hate to say it, but this place was very mediocre for me. It wasn’t horrible, yet it didn’t really stand out as a place I’d make regular visits to. Their salsa bar was pretty cool, but I only really cared for one of their sauces they had.

I had me a good breakfast burrito from this Mexican Eatery. The burrito came with scrambled eggs, chopped savory ham, and some melted cheddar cheese. The burrito was on the thin side( ) and modestly filled with its ingredients. The scrambled eggs were a little unevenly scrambled but tasted good( ). The flour tortilla was of good quality and had a mild buttery texture. They had some good hot sauces and I rather enjoyed trying all of them. The green hot sauce was one of my favorites with its vibrant color and slight acidity with a mild spice.( ) Their red fire hot sauce was very good and provided the strongest punch of them all( ). I actually like them all and would use them, if that was only available. The place pretty well kept inside and provided comfortable seating. The two ladies running the counter were quite friendly and in good spirits. I like the burrito, but I think more ingredients would suffice, since the burrito did not fill me.
