Amazing service! Great Coffee! It’s my first time here and I’m in love! The barista was sooooo beyond nice! And knowledgable about the beverages! She recommended the Cubano Cortado and I loved it! She was sooo nice!

By far, one of the best coffee shops in San Diego. The coffee is always great & the baristas are all very friendly. They all seem very passionate about the coffee they serve and know much about it as well. Their cubano cortado is definitely my favorite.

I mean, how can I not love this place? The baristas are so kind. My husband and I agree this is the best tasting coffee in San Diego thus far. My husband always gets their v12 sweetie, which is one of their cold brews. I get a Latte Dulce. We love the atmosphere. We come here for dates, quiet time, friend hangouts, and to work. The empanadas they serve are awesome as well. They are dog friendly, even inside the café. One of the workers came out to give our dog treats as well, so sweet. Highly recommended! Thanks café moto.

My friend loves coffee and told me to check this place out with her. We went and I love everything about it. It’s really cute! It’s in the barrio but don’t let that stop you from trying some amazing coffee :) !

Café Moto serves some of the best coffee in San Diego. Their beans are well-roasted, and each has a unique flavor profile. Their pour-overs are really good, as are their cold brews which are super smooth. The café itself is cozy, well-decorated, but can fill up fast(if you’re planning on doing work there). I love the people who work there too; very friendly and passionate about coffee!

I’ve been coming to Café Moto for awhile now and unfortunately, never posted a review. Café Moto has amazing coffee and tea, as noted in all the other reviews. They’ve also got a nice selection of coffee and tea equipment. What made today’s visit special, was while I was shopping for equipment(Hario buono kettle and paper filters) for my pour over, an employee by the name of Kristen took the time to walk me through each of the steps to make a perfect pour over. Kristen took me aside, brought out some fresh roasted beans, and kindly showed me step by step, as well as clearly articulated the process of brewing pour over coffee. When finished, we shared that fresh batch of coffee and I now feel confident I can do it myself. Thank you so much Kristen for the exceptional customer service. Two thumbs up!!!

Feels like a coffee shop on Manhattan… But it’s in the Barrio! Staff is super friendly and helpful too. As for the coffee… I would give it a 9⁄10 on flavor and 9⁄10 on the overall buzz. Definitely coming back for fancy drinks soon.

Best service I have ever encountered. The coffee is amazing! !!! I really appreciate how polite and attentive the baristas are. It’s a busy little place, and most of the customers are regulars. I know I am. The Mexican mocha is to die for. And my daughter loves their fresh teas and iced mochas. They always make It the way she likes it. Great place, if your near, you need to stop by.

Its such gorgeous setting and they provide nice, welcoming and friendly customer service. I ordered the hot cocoa special of the day(I think it was Spexcoco cocoa) and their spicy chicken empanada. The empanada was my favorite and I’d love if they offered non dairy milk options. Overall Great experience.

came cause a site said they served siphoned coffee, but when we got there they couldn’t because of staffing. tried their cold brew and 62 continental pour over. good medium bodied cold brew, smooth with no charred after taste in every sip. the 62 was their dark roast and it to was smooth just on its own. coffee roasters is turning into what cup cakes were a decade ago, especially in socal.

Eh, this place was okay. I was really looking forward to the Mexican mocha cold, but she said it would break up and not be as it was intended. So I ordered it warm, the chocolate was very grainy, and I know it sometimes is, but the way she went on about the cold being grainy and clumpy, I should have just got it the way I wanted since being warm didn’t get rid of the clumps. Would I come back? No. If I was a tea drinker then I’d be in heaven because the back has a huge selection of loose tea, but I’m not :/

Come here in the mornings before work. Conveniently located right off the 5 before you get on the Coronado Bridge. The coffee is always warm, not burning hot but always on the drinkable temperature. The people here are always nice, greet you with a smile, and somehow they are always really happy. Good vibes. They offer Papa Luna’s Empanadas which I have tried the chicken ones and they are delish. The backing for the empanadas might take a while but if you don’t they are completely raw, learned it the hard way. The pastries are always so appealing and I must say the few I have tried are good.

The search for the BEST tea in the world is over! I can’t believe how lucky I am to find this place. For anyone who knows me, knows that I drink an absurd amount of iced tea everyday. When I’m out this is the only drink I order and I can easily tell the difference between brewed tea and instant tea. Some places have flavored tea and I like them as long as it’s natural and not a bunch of sugar added in. I drink my tea straight with absolutely no sugar and rarely with lemon. I’ve tried so many brands, bought online, and even had one restaurant give me a bag of what they were serving. But I’ve never been really satisfied until now. Most recently I was at a place for breakfast and they served the most delicious passion fruit iced tea. Normally I’m apprehensive about ordering a fruit iced tea because they are just tea with some sugar fruit added but this was absolutely delicious with no sweetener added. The funny thing is the restaurant food was just so-so, but I stayed longer to enjoy the incredible tea. I commented on it to my sever and she was kind enough to tell me where I could get the tea. I assumed it was something I would have to order online, but was pleasantly surprised when she told me it was in San Diego! I happened to be in the neighborhood where Café Moto is located so I decided to stop in and check out their tea. I never expected what I found. I thought this was just going to be a warehouse but it’s actually a little Coffee & Tea shop with the big warehouse connected. The area of the store where people were enjoying their coffee and tea seemed to be pretty full and people were obviously enjoying their drinks. I walked back to the part of the store where they sold all the bulk coffee and tea and my eyes got real big! There were rows and rows of fresh tea leaves of various flavors. Of course they have all the traditional flavors but I found my Passionfruit and bought a 1 pound bag. I also picked up a bag of their Mango tea leaves. And for as many varietals of tea leaves they have more in coffee(I am not a coffee drinker). But my experience didn’t stop there. Now that I had found the tea… how to brew it? I’ve brewed iced tea before but with loose tea leaves, it can be a bit of trial and error trying to find the right amount to your taste. I went to the counter to ask somewhat expecting a lot of shoulder shrugging but so pleased to find people who were just at much into iced tea as I am. I asked about how to brew the tea and they were so happy to help me and a couple of them explained how they do it. The absolute nicest people work at this store but I can understand why. They sell a great product that is sure to put a smile on so many peoples face and starts their day off right! And the warehouse part of the store has coffee and tea makers, cups, filters, etc… Just about anything you could want to make that perfect cup of coffee or tea. And some of the devices they sold were quite unique and decorative so if you are looking for a gift for that serious coffee/tea drinker, this place has just the right gift and they can suggest a flavor of coffee/tea for you to give or buy for yourself. Again, I don’t drink coffee, but I can only assume it’s as good as the tea. But if you are a tea drinker, trust me when I say no matter what part of San Diego you live in, it’s worth the drive. But if you don’t want to drive, you can order online, but I recommend that you come at least once to see this fantastic place and check it out for yourself. By the way, I’m enjoying a tall glass of the passionfruit iced tea as I write this. I brewed it myself and it came out perfect! I doubt I’ll ever buy tea anywhere else ever again!

So a few days ago someone at work turned me and my buddy on to cold brew coffee. She explained the process and we both did a little research on it as well. She went on to tell us about the place where she gets her coffee. The place was none other than Café Moto. Fast forward to this morning and we(my buddy and I) decided to meet here so we could see what this place was all about. This Café is located in Barrio Logan and was very easy to find. I had no issues with parking. I was a little thrown off by the size of the place. I didn’t realize that, in addition to the café, they also have a warehouse and store. I was greeted almost right away. The staff is very friendly and asked me if I had any questions. I ended up getting a Cubano(after I heard another customer talk about it). Basically, it’s espresso with brown sugar. My buddy ordered a Mexican Mocha which he told me was very good. I paid $ 6 and change for both of our drinks… not bad. In the store /warehouse area, Café Moto sells a huge selection of coffee from around the world. Some of the countries include: Indonesia, Ethiopia, Kenya, Mexico, Peru, Brazil, Costa Rica, and list goes on. They also have a nice selection of teas! In addition to coffee and tea they also sell equipment(such as coffee grinders), barista tools, cups, syrups, and t-shirts! I love that they have organic coffees/teas and that they purchase«Fair Trade» products. Definitely a cool coffee place I’d revisit to get my caffeine fix.

I didn’t know what to expect coming here, but the coffee and service is great! I came here with my brother and we wanted to try a cappuccino and it tastes as good as it looks. They even have a roaster store ! I’m definitely coming back.

Café Moto is exactly what I’m looking for in a coffee shop. The vibe is really comfortable and hip and the coffee is delicious. I went in for a little break because I had heard they had delicious empanadas. I was disappointed to find that they were just Papa Luna’s empanadas and weren’t anything original/authentic. I was looking to try something different and I’m not a huge fan of Papa Luna’s, but I still ordered one and it was pretty good. I got the sausage and cheese. People were ordering these coffee drinks in glass cups that looked yummy, but I opted for just a regular dark roast coffee. I wanted to see if it had good flavor and I was pleased with my order. I would definitely go back for more coffee if I’m ever in the area. I would like to try more of the espresso options. The vibe is comfortable and the people are friendly, so I recommend hanging here sometime.

Came here for my crack. I mean caffeine fix! I’m a die hard coffee person, but today a chai latte just sounded more appealing. So I went with the chai latte and a spicy chicken empanada.(strange combo, yeah I know but who’s judging!) The chai latte was good, but the spicy chicken empanada was even better! I shortly regretted my decision on going with the chai latte instead of coffee. Not bcuz the chai wasn’t good, but I overheard the barista telling another costumer what coffees they were brewing today. Like uuuuugh, I would have totally wanted to try the African coffee from Rwanda. Well This just means I’ll be back soon! Oh and The baristas here are so friendly!

This place never disappoints… one of the better coffee shops in San Diego. Café Moto is a good example of how NOTTOJUDGE A BOOKBYIT’S COVER. Sure, the area can seem a little intimidating, but the people around this area are pretty nice. The coffee at Café Moto is FARSUPERIOR(and just flat out taste better) than Starbucks, Peets or The Coffee Bean, If there is a disappointment, it would have to be that they are closed on Sundays. Call me spoiled(by good coffee) but I love good coffee on a Sunday morning. With that being said, they make really good Latte’s(with Latte Art… which is a plus, cause I like that sort of thing) and very good Hot Chocolate drinks. The people that work here are nice and friendly and the coffee shop is very clean. And though this coffee shop is in an industrial type area(which I stated earlier in this review) there’s always parking and the service is fast.

This place is so awesome! I feel like there are a million good things I can say. I think what I have learned about this place is that they seem to be helping the community around them and essentially the world with their fair trade products. I had the vanilla latte there and it was super good(and I’m not generally a fan of coffee products). They also have a store that is super great with a lot of options for coffee and tea. Many items for cute present for family or friends. Overall I had an exceptional experience here and the staff seemed to really know about the products that they sell.
