This place makes consistently great pizza. It’s New York style thin crust and it’s the way pizza should be. I’m a big fan and this is my go to spot when I’m in the mood for pizza in Allied Gardens They even deliver.

This place is consistent and delicious. Everything is made from scratch; today while I was there they were pounding out dough and zesting about 30 lemons– it smelled like heaven!

It took 90 minutes to deliver my pizza to my apartment two miles away. Both the person on the phone and the delivery driver were Brazilian students working illegally. So if you want cold pizza delivered by a company that actively employs illegal workers to evade taxes, this is your place.

this place has great deals, good pizza, fast delivery, and good customer service. The pizza is what you’d expect from a New York style pizza place in terms of look and feel, perfect foldable slices, perfect amount of toppings, and really flavorful sauce. I did have an issue with them delivering the wrong flavor soda but it was fixed as soon as I noticed with no trouble at all. Mistakes happen… and with something so small, it was nice to have super easy customer service to deal with and fix issue. So many places these days don’t have that. I digress; this place is great. Order all the pizza.

I’ve eaten at this place at their location on Mission Gorge Road and I’ve also ordered delivery from them. It is just as good either way. Their prices are comparable to Pizza Hut and Papa John’s but you get a more authentic fresh pizza taste when you order from this joint. As someone who used to eat pizza almost every single day back in Chicago I have to say this ranks at near the top of the pies I’ve had out here in California. The crust is then and crispy and the toppings are fresh. My favorite is the pepperoni and mushroom. Make sure you ask for the specials because they have discounts and special offers from time to time. You can even order straight off the menu from the Unilocal website! I got an extra large 18 inch pepperoni double mushroom pizza delivered to my house for 20 bucks.

My man is from Brooklyn, NY and we have ordered 5 times from this place. They have been consistent every time. So we decided to finally rate them. Meatball and pepperoni pizza with extra sauce is Yummy! I never like cannoli until I tried theirs Yum Yum… Stromboli is also delicious… Thanks! My man said now if we only had NY water their pizza would be even better. Give them a chance

Delicious east-coast style pizza and cheese steaks. Their food is amazing as well as super reasonably priced, with fast service. Highly recommend their pizza, calzones, and cheesesteaks. We can’t get enough– they’re a new family staple.

I ORDERCHICKENCAESARSALADSEVERYWHERE I GO. This place has some of the best croutons I’ve ever had… homemade. Dressing is also good… the creamy, thick kind with not too much anchovy taste. Romaine lettuce is always crispy and fresh. Parmesan is the ‘powdered’ kind. The chicken is decent, seasoned with some basic chicken seasoning… but not the best(not fresh chicken breast)…but for the price, you cannot beat it!

My mother has been swinging through here a lot and I tagged along. Decent new york style pizza. Good place to stop in for a slice.

Do not ever eat here the owner Joe is the biggest POS out there … Has people work for him then doesn’t pay them and thinks that’s an acceptable way to run a business … Yes I worked for him in the Northpark location and I would never support any business that operates like that … O and his ingredients and pizza are horrible… Don’t ever eat here

I have to say delivery was super fast, the pasta was good, the salads were both great, the pizza not so much. Unless you eat the pizza super hot the cheese just was not the best quality and was like plastic

This is how you do a proper Margarita pizza! I’ve tried soooooo many pizza places and none come close to this one. My favorite type of crust: pretty thin, with fluffy sides. Lots of garlic. Fresh mozzarella and basil added on top AFTER the pizza is baked. Yumm! Please don’t change this recipe!

Used to be truly good, truly New York-style pizza, when the Syrian(?) guy owned the place. I would go out of my way to stop here. However, the store has been sold and now the pizza is generic crap. Crust has no texture, sauce has no flavor, mozzarella is low quality. This place used to compete with Bronx Pizza for great NY pizza. No longer.

Is it possible to give less than 1 star? Ordered online for delivery on their website. Waited 1.5 hours and called. After hanging up on me 3 times, finally spoke to someone that said order left 5 mins ago. I call back in 30 mins and the person that answers says they never got the order and sorry and hangs up. No words to express my anger at horrible service.

I normally say Bronx pizza in Hillcrest is my favorite pizza in SD, but this place is giving them a run for their money! The pie was delicious and the employees were so polite and friendly and made the experience more than just getting a slice of pizza.

This place is disgusting !!! Not only is the owner of this«establishment» a complete degenerate, who likes to exploit his employees for free labor. But the overall consistency of the food, customer service, and cleanliness is beyond lacking in this dump. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you enjoy being treated horribly by the staff members, or if you like the taste of cockroaches that have been crawling all over the food you’re about to eat. In my personal opinion, «A Brooklyn Pizzeria» or «Pizzeria Etc.», whatever they call this, so called, «restaurant»…should be condemned and shut down for the safety of the consumer. Not only are you taking a huge risk of getting sick by eating the food here, but you’re also supporting a man who WILLNOT pay his employees(even though he himself will come in daily to take whatever money is in the register, for himself) I know it may seem as though I’m bashing this guy, but believe me, none of what I’m saying is over exaggerated by any means. He has to be the most incompetent, rude, selfish, arrogant, vile human being I think I’ve ever encountered. Save your money, or spend it elsewhere, because this place is 100% not worth it. Consider yourself warned…

Good pizza by the slice. Don’t bother ordering anything else as the rest of the food is just mediocre. Its also a little dirty in there, but never had any of the issues some other people had with the burnt pizza or wings.

I’m very serious when I type this. This. Is. The. Best. NY. Style. Pie. I. Have. Ever. Had. On. The. West. Coast.(I’m a native New Yorker, Woodside Queens Wash Heights, and JC to be exact) Just walking in, everything from the menu style to the display case to the smells and even the attitude of the shop just ooze NY pizzeria. Anyone who says otherwise has probably only visited Times Square or «Brooklyn»(ahem…Williamsburg). — The crust is impossibly thin and foldable, yet crispy with the right amount of chew. — the sauce is right. Not overly oregano’d, not too sweet, not too thin. Perfect. — they use the right cheese. Not sure how else to describe it. — toppings are fresh and great quality. — they are lightening fast. To get the true NY experience, get it plain… Maybe just one topping, but their everything pie is great. I haven’t tried anything else(sandwiches, salads, etc) because the pie is freaking amazing. Why do I say«closest» and not«exactly»? I know you’ve heard this before and probably think it’s full of poop, but NYC water really is the secret ingredient. Without going into too much detail, NYC tap water is fresh mountain spring water from the Catskills mountains. The taste is incredible. If you ever visit, just drink the tap water, you’ll see. But water is just one factor in a good pizza(I’ve had horrible pizza in NY), technique and ingredients are other factors and this place has got those all on point! l

The Pizza is okay and it’s one of the few places that deliver to me so i’ve ordered once in a while. I’d give the pizza a 6, it’s slightly above average. Unfortunately the customer service and delivery is terrible. During my most recent experience my wife ordered pizza, salad and bread sticks at 5:30. At 6:30 she called to ask where it was. They told her the driver was lost but would be there in a minute. At 6:47 she called again to be told they were just outside. At 7:04 she called and was told our next pizza would be free and they were a minute away and they would call her back. Meanwhile we had fed our kids some other food. At 8:20 one cold cheese pizza was delivered to our door. THREE hours later, NO salad or appetizer. Tried to talk to manager and was given the run around. Place doesn’t have good enough pizza to have delivery and customer service like that. ONESTAR!!!

I like the food here although it seems cheap. Subs are okay, stromboli and calzone good. 2 sub side and 2 sodas for $ 16. 18 delivered. Also I like that they deliver but they don’t have a fryer so you can’t order some of the stuff on the menu like fries, mozzarella sticks etc.
