Holy deliciousness. I got a medium deep dish masterpiece. I thought it would be too small. I thought that had what it takes to conquer this mountain of cheesy goodness. I was wrong. I am struggling after 2 slices of this bad boy. Not even sad about it.

Leftys… I’m sorry. But goodbye. It’s not you. It’s me. I’m leaving you for someone new. Today shall go down as the greatest cheatday of my life. I decided to be a glutton and order a large meat lovers stuffed deep dish pizza for one. I knew it was my destiny when I had called back 5 minutes after placing the order to change my order to a medium but was told that it was too late. Ain’t even mad. The magic pie had already begun its journey through the kitchen that would soon end in my stomach. Fifty minutes after placing my order, I picked up the box of joy and carefully brought it home to devour intimately as I watched some tv. The pie was so hot that the right side windows of my car fogged from its delicious cheesy breath. I had come from the gym, but once I got home. There was no time to shower. The pizza was calling for me. The pizza is dense and had a copious amount of cheese. I’m not too into cheese and prefer a lot of sauce, but today I made an exception. The crust was nice and crispy. Each slice held perfectly together which allowed me to eat with my hands rather than use a fork and knife. I found this amazing as most deep dish pizzas I’ve had tend to break down from the weight and get soggy overtime. I am three slices deep. And have thrown in the towel. Not because I don’t love it. But because I need to take a food coma nap. Before I wake up to take another go at this beauty. I was not man enough to conquer this box of love on my own. And I’m not even ashamed.

Oh yeah! I have finally found a nearby place to make all of my Chicago Deep Dish Pizza dreams come true and it’s here at Chicago Bros. Pizzeria! This little joint has been on my radar forever and after an excruciatingly long period of procrastination, I finally broke down and gave it a try. Oh yes, it was totally worth it. They say that«good things come to those who wait» and that’s definitely the case here. An hour to an hour and 15 minutes to pick up a medium(10″) «Masterpiece» deep dish pizza on a Saturday night and I’m not even mad. It’s totally worth the wait. This pie is everything you could ask for in a pizza. Huge, stuffed full of flavor and even the medium size is enough to leave a glutton like myself with leftovers. Like I said, this thing makes your deep dish pizza dreams come true. Additionally, as standard operating procedures would dictate, I ordered some breadsticks and also went for an order of the Garlic Bread with cheese. The breadsticks weren’t bad, maybe a little overcooked and dry but even if they weren’t, hindsight being 20/20, I would just skip them and get another order of the Garlic Bread with Cheese. Those pieces of garlic, cheesy bread goodness were the t**s. On top of all that, the service from the staff here was extremely friendly and they interacted and accommodated the rest other customers that were waiting and/or dining in. Definitely great people here. I’m not going to waste a whole bunch of time and text with colorful language and hyperbole, I’m just going to say that this pizza is good. Really, really good. When I have a craving and I need to «go deep», this is where I’m gonna go.

Had a craving for pizza but wanted to try something different. Was tired of regular hand tossed/thin crust pizza so deep dish sounded good. This place definitely deserves 5 stars. Ordered the medium meat lovers deep dish pizza(it’s 6 slices) and an order of cannolis. This pizza is the entire sh! t! The dough was perfect. Crunchy crust chewy middle, the sauce has the perfect amount of tang and sweetness, and the toppings were A-1. The cannolis were awesome as well. Haven’t had a cannoli since moving to SoCal. So it definitely reminded me of back home. The filling was sweet but not too sweet and the shell was nice and crunchy. This will definitely be my go to spot for Chicago style pizza.

My family used to be a regular here, before we moved south. Now I only get to make the trip here when we happen to be close, an deals aren’t planned out for the day already. Chicago Pizza is done right here. Pizza is the best of its kind in and around San Diego. The owners is a family operator, and they are all very friendly, and always willing to get everything just right. This place is recommended if you want the best pizza in the area!

Was stranded in traffic on the 15 freeway and decided I rather eat some pizza then sit in my car lol. I looked on Unilocal to see what was around me and saw this great pizza joint! I came in and the staff is very nice and caring made sure I knew the difference between deep dish and regular style pizza. After a few minutes of ordering I went with the meat lovers deep dish! The meat lovers deep dish was amazing! It was very flavorful and full of meats and cheese. And let’s not forget the sauce! I was full after two slices and couldn’t go on anymore even though I wanted too. I hear the sandwiches are really good and I look forward to trying then next time I don’t want to be in traffic. Until next time

Family owned. pizzas made at the time of ordering. Never been to Chicago nor had their pizzas, but finding this place made me not even worry about any other pizza place. Deep dish pizza is the way to go!

Finally! A Chicago style pizza place that reminds me of home. I moved here from the Windy City several years ago and have been on the search for the perfect pizza. I have demolished thousands of calories during the grueling endeavor of slurping up melted cheese and savoring The other fresh toppings. They have thin crust as well as an amazing deep dish pizza. The deep dish takes a little longer so you have to have some patience so don’t go there if you want instant gratification… BUT! the wait is definitely worth it! It’s hard to find great Italian sausage as a topping in a lot of pizza places on the West Coast but this place does it right. They have a nice big dining room and TVs there so you can watch your game while you eat. There is plenty of parking in a huge lot right out front as well as several spots behind the building. The people at the counter are always nice and pretty funny too so chat them up and I’ll definitely get going with a smile on their face. I would put it in my top three pizza places in the area and that’s a huge compliment coming from a Chicago native

Solid 5 as always. Our med(enough for two meals for each of us) Chicago pizza with pepperoni, pineapple, and half green peppers was bomb. Crust was flavorful and cooked perfectly, cheese, rich and gooey, and the sauce and toppings were great. Well worth the 1.5 hr wait time. Call in and order if you plan on getting a whole Chicago pie.

As a native Chicagoan, my standards are pretty high when it comes to authentic deep-dish pizza. This stuff is simply awesome, and they do not skimp on anything. Our stuffed veggie/spinach pizza was 100 percent loaded with gooey, oozy cheese, nicely complemented by a crust that was just the right thickness, and tomato sauce with a bit of zing to it. We are already planning to try more varieties in a few weeks. p. s. Anyone who complains about how long it takes to make a deep-dish stuffed pizza has no clue as to how much work goes into making one of those pies. I’ve made stuffed pizza from scratch myself, and it is no simple task. I will gladly wait an hour or more for this stuff.

Wanted to do the whole pizza during football thing(in the words of Arnold: GOCHARGERSGO)!, and heard about Chicago Bros from a friend. Unfortunately, I’ve had a really cheesy(literally) weekend, so didn’t want to do the deep dish. Called for carry out. Friendly service. Ordered a thin crust pizza around 130 pm, Sunday. Just 20 minutes. Thin crust pizza was really close to a regular crust and not your typical thin crust. Cheese was really good, and the crust was to die for. Usually when you have pizza, the crust is only good stuffed or dipped with something but this crust was different. It was just the right amount crispy and soft. Red sauce had a nice tang with some spices in it. Extra large is about $ 20. It has 8 large slices. After having two, I was super full(I usually have 3), there is plenty o cheese to go around on that pizza. They don’t kid. I got the Fiesta(pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, onions, olives, sausage) and it was awesome ! They also provided red peppers, parm and plates. Parking should be plentiful, it’s in a plaza. Sunday’s during game time may be difficult to find parking.

SoCal’s best Chicago style pizza. Not even close. Service is awesome too. Owners interact with patrons and really make you feel at home. One night, they stayed open an hour past closing time to let us eat our pizza and not rush out.

I’m between 3 and 4 stars here! The service was great! Called for delivery and they said be there in an hour, then got here in 20 minutes… nice surprise! My dogs were going nuts cause I wasn’t ready and the delivery guy was so nice to wait while I put them away. The guy on the phone was super nice and happy to help with our order. We ordered wings and a medium margarita pizza. The wings were crispy and saucy, just the way I like them! The pizza looked great but lacked flavor. We ordered thin crust which might not be the best at a Chicago style place. It was still a bit thick, but that’s probably their way. I was a little sad cause I am never the type of person to put parmigiana or red pepper flakes on pizza but I did this time needing some flavor. I hope to update this review on our next visit/delivery! I’m not going to give up but I do hope the pizza is a bit better next time!

In passing, I spotted this gem of a pizza place. I was born and raised in the Chicago burbs — with pizza every Friday and of course DEEPDISH. Since moving from Illinois when I was 13, I have frantically searched for the perfect Chicago style pizza. There are a few other options in San Diego. Usually you’ll be lucky to find one if any. Chicago Bros has stuffed pizza which is my personal favorite. Deep dish crust, cheese and sauce on top. I ordered ahead — the menu states 40 mins. The pizza looked and tasted like home. The crust was a little softer then your typical deep dish but it was pleasant. I ordered the small which was 12″ for myself and my husband and we still had 2 slices left over. Last night we decided to try their calzones. I ordered a cheese and a buffalo chicken. They both came with marinara. I think the buffalo would’ve been complimented better with blue cheese dressing on the side. The dough has a subtle sweet taste. I’m assuming they add a little extra sugar. Overall their food is great! My only complaint is the timing. When I ordered the pizza, which was 40 mins. I showed up about 50 minutes after and still had to wait 10 more minutes. The same with the calzones. 20 minutes was the given time. I showed up 15 after that and I was told it was still cooking. I think the times need to be adjusted and more accurate. The last thing I want to do is order food wait to pick it up and then get there and wait some more.

I’m fairly picky when it comes to trying new places especially pizza places. I’m a big fan of Assagios deep dish pizza and Lefty’s stuff pizza but the stuffed pizza here has to be the best! It’s different than regular deep dish pizza so it compares more to lefty’s. We called in an hr + a ahead of time. It was well worth the wait! It was super cheesy just like me! I could barely eat 2 and almost ate 3 slices of the works. This place is heavy breathing certified. I would definitely come back if I want to be fat boy status.

If you want the closest thing to real Chicago pizza, this is the place! Friendly staff who warned us that the wait will be long bc of how the pizza is cooked. We didn’t mind bc there were board games, the bball game on the TV and beer to keep us entertained. We played Jenga for the longest time and was intense that the staff was watched us play. Such a friendly environmemt. Once the pizza came I knew it would be delicious. The smell was amazing. Right when I ate a piece it reminded me of how good Chicago style pizzas are. We ordered the medium which fed both my bf and I with some to take home. Definitely got me stuffed!
