I stopped by, to get advice on why, my hands were in major pain, from bicycling from Santa Monica. Lynn was so helpful, gave me advice & her husband Pete, fixed the problem. I have to say, they both went beyond helpfulness, with advice, suggestions to help make the rest of the bike trip easier to San Diego. Even if I did not bye anything. They have clean & up to date bikes to rent. Thanks Lynn & Pete. Your the best. Will be back just to visit soon.

Pete and Lynn are consummate pros — super friendly, and so generous with their time. Pete meticulously reviewed the nuances of the ElliptiGo, and even lead me on a test ride, showing me how to bring out the best in this wonderful machine! And Lynn gave this novice a primer on the prominent bike routes in South County. Will be back soon!

Had a great experience. Came in yesterday and rented two basic cruisers with a baby seat. We payed $ 23 total. And the guy gave us an extra hour free. Definitely will be renting from them again! Such a great time! Great customer service.

Just pulled in because we wanted to ride to the pier. Super friendly customer service and more affordable than we expected. Rented 4 bikes for our family and spent the next 2 hours cruising around the beach. Tons of fun. We will be back.

Didn’t really like the guys attitude or snarky remarks. I also didn’t like that you can only put a kids seat on a men’s bike because«daddy usually takes the kids and mommy gets a bike with a basket to carry all the kids things» what about single mothers, lesbians, couples with more than one kid? Also he told me «kids can only last an hour» trying to talk me out of 2 hours. Like he knows my kid better after an hour and a half she was begging to stay longer. But other than the guy and the fact that me a short woman had to use a men’s bike with a kid seat.(I couldn’t sit on the seat and reach the ground it was so tall, even with the seat completely down.) I would go back to this place because the prices were good. The selections were not bad and it Is in a convenient location.

This bike rental shop is located right across from a large public lot and the Metrolink train station. We paid for parking and walked in on Memorial Day at noon with 4 people and in about 10 minutes we had checked out the single-speed beach cruiser for $ 14 for 2 hour ride down past the San Clemente pier on the beautiful Coastal Trail, stopping at Calafia Beach Café for shaved ices and soft serve ice cream! This was a great activity to do and the trails are flat –the bikes were in decent shape and had wire baskets to hold water bottles and extra stuff(wire grid is open so sunglasses may fall through, bring a bag for small items). They also have refrigerated Gatorade and a few other drinks/water inside the bike shop. Hourly price(including helmet) starts at $ 9 per hr. and goes down with longer rentals. The only downside is there is very little free parking in the area but the public lot is not too bad ~$ 1.50 per hour.

We rented bikes here recently to ride along the san clemente beach trail. The owner was really friendly, helpful and easy-going. He even gave us some extra time for our rental at no extra charge! The bikes worked out great and we had a great time riding along the beach trail and down to the doheny beach area. Glad we decided to rent bikes here!

The owner, Pete, is super-knowledgeable about everything bicycle — AND, as he proudly advertises outside his shop, ElliptiGos. My husband and I have been avid ElliptiGoers for the past 2.5 years, and this shop has allowed us to meet and ride with many fellow ElliptiGoers. Rent an ElliptiGo and ride around. The paths around the shop are flat, and Doheny State Beach, which is only 3.5 miles away, is absolutely beautiful. He sells them, too! If you’re looking for a route, Pete will graciously tell you. You want hills? No problem! You want NO hills? He knows such routes, too! No one could ask for a more knowledgeable bike shop owner, who is SO generous with his time and expertise. Stop in to rent an ElliptiGo; return to become a true member of the ElliptiGo community, led by a wonderful bike shop owner. You won’t regret it!

I purchased an ElliptiGo from here after renting one. Pete, the owner, was very helpful and set it up for me, adding a computer and both forward and rear lights. After a mechanical problem developed in the gears, he exchanged it at no charge; he also replaced the swing arms due to a factory recall… again at no charge! He is very bike savy and teaches bike safety and maintenance, and is a prominent advocate for rider friendly bike routes in the San Clemente area. Glad I found a shop that is decicated to helping people, instead of the large shops where only sales are their purpose.

Pete’s shop is located on the Pacific Coast Bicycle Route, so he’s well equipped with tires, tubes, maps, etc. to help the bicycle tourists passing through year-round. He also has bike rentals and is conveniently located right next to the San Clemente Metrolink station. If you’re from out of town, rent a bike, enjoy the mostly traffic free ride to Oceanside, and take the train back to San Clemente.
