I ordered a medium hot chocolate and a ham and cheese croissant, which were standard quality, but the cashier was so gregarious and helpful! I think his name was Logan. He was very cheerful, but not in an obnoxious way. I came in with some other purchases in a bag, and he pointed out a rip in it where it would have started spilling things and gave me a new bag to put it in. Normally I go to Starbucks but I’m going to this Pete’s again because you can’t get a cashier like Logan everywhere. Very satisfied!

Service is great, but when a large group of off the clock employees sit at a table and talk so loudly that I have to move from the outside to the inside, its frustrating. They come back in and order and loudly talk to on the clock employees. Noticing how most people are quietly working on lap tops, I’d think they’d realize how distracting they are.

I was in San Carlos today for a business meeting. When I was done, I wanted to grab an Iced Tea. I stood at the counter for a few minutes and neither of the 2 woman working even acknowledged me, even though one of them(Ingrid) was grounding coffee for another customer. Finally, she took my order and was very icy. She made it seem as though I was a bother. She hands me the iced tea, no thank you and without a lid. I went over to the barista and asked for a lid and was told, that the only ones they had were the globe type. I grabbed that and before I could ask her for a straw, she turned her back on me. A customer was at the area where the creamer etc was and he said oh there are lids here. Instead of walking over and grabbing a couple so she could have them at the barista bar, she told him, no we don’t have any, he held one up and I went over there an got one. At this moment, there were no sectors in line and Ingrid was talking to her co-worker and her conversation started with«what the F*ck…» load enough o be heard where the creamer is. They both were extremely unprofessional, rude, lacking any class and a disgrace to Peets. Peets is supposed to be so much better than Starbucks tight? More-down home feel? Well, I think Starbucks does a lot better at training their employees. So glad that I don’t live there and have to deal with this shop again. RUDE!

Peets coffee is my favorite but I’ve noticed that the people working here are quite rude. I usually say something but decided not to this time and was sorry I didn’t call her out on the rudeness. Will write into corporate. asked a few questions about the drinks and she acted as if I was bothering her. She told me not to order one drink if I’ve never had it without any explanation as to why. When I had changed my order, she charged me for both drinks, didn’t say thank you at any point or apologize for her mistake.

This is my favorite Peets location to go to, and I have been to many. They make their coffee quite well, and the staff here are always incredibly warm and friendly. Was looking sad the other day and the nice lady at the register gave me a discount on my coffee. Their medium roast coffee is consistently very good; I have had Peets medium roast at other locations and it is usually bland or a little sour tasting. For some reason at this particular Peets they often need to brew the coffee fresh and while it takes two extra minutes the flavor is definitely worth it. This is an enjoyable place to work with pleasant folks and generally good music on the radio too.

First visit here in years… staff was a little slow to respond to line of people waiting. CAP was good… actually thought customers were very demanding and rude… normal for this area I guess. LOVEPEETS

Coffee is ok(unless you ask for something different they always overheat the milk for my taste). The outside seating is nice. But service is slow.

Got to love when you are standing in line and they take the order of the person sending behind you and then when you look at them they’re like oh you’re online

Stopped here for a coffee after eating dinner downtown. The lady at the register was very funny and personable– she was joking around with our group. Quick service, all our orders were made correctly.

Rude, probably high and completely indifferent to the level of service being provided. The male employee was pacing around and did his absolute best to not say a word as we ordered our coffee and the lady avoided eye contact and was obviously irritated when asked if their bathroom needed a key… Food and coffee were ok. Terrible customer service! The district or regional management should be very concerned about their brand and quality of customer experience. Unfortunate.

This a good place to come when the weather is nice. Lots of nice outdoor seating away from people walking on the sidewalk. Service is just ok as well as the coffee. Plus side is there is plenty of parking in the area.

The only thing keeping this place from getting 1 star is all the cool dogs that come hang out here. If you enjoy forgetful service and an angry manager, this is your place. Otherwise, go across the street to Plantation where they are nice to you and give you what you ordered.

I’d been going to the Starbucks a few blocks away a couple times a month for the past several months, but I’m never going back there! Seeking a brewed decaf at 3:30 on a Saturday – not only do they have it here but they brewed it fresh for me because the pot was«expired»(30 min old). Thought it would take a while but less than a minute later I had my drink – that’s about 5 times faster than getting a pour-over at Starbucks(which doesn’t have brewed decaf in the afternoon). There was plenty of parking in the lot just behind Peet’s(again, unlike the Starbucks where most of the spaces are reserved for the market next door). The service was friendly and efficient. Spacious seating area indoors, several tables out front. And oh yeah, the coffee was great – robust and up to temperature. Edited to add: someone from behind the counter just walked a coffee over to a man with a cane who’d sat down after ordering. Warms my heart!

The one star was for the nice female cashier. Whomever the tall, male, brunette barista was, who was working there on Sunday ¼ around 1pm needs to take a few customer service classes. My cousin and I both ordered the same drink, but one was NF, and the other wasn’t. When our drinks were up, we asked him which was which. He said they are both the same. When told that one should have NF milk, he just said«oh.» My cousin and I just said it was fine because he didn’t seem like he wanted to make another one, and we just didn’t want to deal with him anymore. My friends were right behind us, and they all ordered totally different drinks. When they were done, my friend politely asked«are these our drinks?» And he replied«Do they look like it?» Ummmm we don’t work at Peets, you tell us! He has to get over himself and learn a little something about being polite to customers.

Best customer service ever, I am happily in love with this place. This is my number one peets. The people here are awesome. I always leave with a smile like«Wow do I know these people cuz they treat me like we have some great history»? These people symbolize customer service, they define it, they perfect it, they’re excellent. They also make my drinks super good too. I like the seating area too. Its a hella chill place to read the paper and just relax or do your homework if that’s your thing.

Hey, I love Peet’s! The San Carlos location is a good one. First it’s located centrally on Laural Street. There is plenty of seating inside and outside. The staff and the manager of this location are super nice and look happy to be there… they know regulars like my aunt by name and that makes this location very community friendly.

I feel the need to update this review. There have been more times than I’d like to count in the mornings where if I order an ICED beverage, and thus pay for an ICED beverage, my result is unfortunately all too often NOT *exactly* that. Instead, it is the hot version that burns my tongue, which I specifically ordered ICED instead of to AVOID this in the first place. Not sure where/why the slip up occurs, because most staff seem nice, but my burned tongue can no longer grant full 5 star status with that. Still like seasonal drinks.
