It should be no star, but horrible time here. We like the location when it was by West Borough. I like that the shop is bigger, but nothing else. Their drinks used to be good and they’d fix it if you weren’t happy with it, but now they no longer do that. We waited almost 20 minutes for the drinks, but there was no one there. On top of that, we noticed the staff seemed clueless on how to make a tiger drink. Train your staff better. I will not be back anytime soon nor would I recommend anyone to go here. You’re better off going to quickly’s because the drinks here are watered down. Gross

I was so hopeful that this boba spot would be amazing. Here’s the pro’s and con’s though that brought them to 3 stars… Pro’s: — Very nice girl who helped me choose my teas and prepared them — Good-sized cups for a reasonable price — The Ex-Girlfriend Green Tea flavor was good with mango, passion fruit, and more(I got this at 25% sweet and it was still very sweet!) — Good selection of choices Con’s: — Boba were the wrong texture, much too hard — I love the«traditional» cups with plastic punch-through tops and this spot uses more soda-type cups — The Jasmine Milk Tea I got for my husband(ordered at 50% sweet) didn’t have much flavor I’ll probably find a different spot for next time I’m craving boba(which is often!).

This place is chill… But is it too chill? I mean. I guess it’s okay if you serve my drinks wearing Tank Tops, Shorts and Flip flops? But c’mon! at least shave your beard and you’re sweating! Totally unappetizing man.

I adore milk tea and when Raging Boba opened and I saw the line, I hurried and got in line as well. For almost all new milk tea places, I just a basic Jasmine green milk tea or black milk tea just to compare. Sadly, there’s no comparison. The drink tastes weak and a bit artificial. The tapioca was undercooked with too much bite. I wouldn’t come back here again unfortunately since if they can’t make a perfect basic drink then my expectations are pretty low. I would recommend giving this place a try only if there’s no lines and you don’t mind an average drink.

Got a honeydew fluffy snow with lychee popping boba and jelly. There was only two guys working it seemed, one in the front one in the back. Even though I had never heard of this place I had to come because not many places near sf have fluffy snow. Service is a bit slow not gonna lie even though there wasn’t a lot of people. The snow was really good and refreshing but for some reason they put the«top“pings on the bottom of the cup which makes it hard to get to and makes a puddle of the juice the jellies are in at the bottom of the cup, also has a $ 7.50 price tag which to me is too much which is why I probably won’t come back, for the snow at least.

23⁄100: So since they closed the Raging Boba near my area, which was the one inside Ling Nam, I’ve stopped by this area a few times and I think overall, it’s an o-k joint. Pros: — Compared to their first store, this location has a spacious interior, with tables and couches available. — Menu has a wide array of drinks and shaved snow, and you can even opt to make your own concoction as well. — Near a bunch of restaurants so that’s good. — Accepts cash and card. — Their cups are pretty big, so more bang for your buck. — Five Stars is available here. — I like the weird names for some of their drinks. Cons: — Super inconsistent with their drinks. Expect your drink to either be super sweet, super bland, or super diluted. — Parking is street and parking on street is always like a scavenger hunt. — Service is a hit or miss here. — Undercooked boba, which is why I never opt for toppings anymore. Overall an o-k place.

2nd time coming here and maybe the last; They are pretty inconsistent with their sweetness level. I ordered ½ sweet and tasted like it was non-sweet; and one more thing, I wanted aloe AND bobba toppings and it was written clearly on the cup, but i guess they forgot the aloe… and the sweetener. :((

I’ve been going here since they were in Ling Nam. They’re that good that you have to stalk them. The newest addition to the menu, señorita bread, is yummy gluten goodness. Bread by any other name could never be better than señorita bread. All the items at raging boba will have you at first taste. Run, don’t walk ‘coz you could eat more calories that way.

A complete mess! Lack of hygiene and service. The cashier who handled the cup with finger inside. He is sweating and wiping with his hands due to lack of air conditioning. Totally unacceptable! He also charges twice for Boba(35cents each) when I asked«Its the charge for using card». If you gonna charge, display on counter or disclose ahead instead of doing so discreetly. They have great looking menu though.

This is the worst boba I’ve ever had! I’m all for supporting small businesses and ordered from Raging Boba when they were still at Ling Nam, but their drinks are inconsistent and the boba is hard — I’m talking about uncooked boba that they didn’t even bother taste testing or perfecting before serving it to their customers hard. My sister was craving one specific drink, so we went to their SB location and found that the establishment was empty with just the employee who was passing time. After browsing the menu, I asked the employee if he could make me a pineapple and coconut milk tea. Me: Can you make me a pineapple and coconut milk tea? Employee: So, a piña colada? Me: Is it a milk tea? Employee: Yes, it’s a piña colada. Okay, whatever! I opted for the piña colada that the employee suggested, but soon heard a blender while he was making my drinks. Hm, a milk tea made in a blender? When I received my drink, it was a slush. not a milk tea like I had asked for, but a slush. And yes, the boba was hard — so hard that I didn’t even finish my drink. Raging Boba, please take my review as constructive criticism and taste your damn boba!

Came here after work. My coworker and I were the only customers and were greeted immediately. I really couldn’t make up my mind on what to order cause there’s a lot of variety. I ended up with trying the tiger milk tea and got their regular size which is 32oz, that’s pretty big. 32oz for the price of $ 4.50. I thought the drink was watery and had a stronger taste of thai tea than black tea, when it should be equal! The tea was kinda weak and tasted just like sugar. I don’t understand why the cashier guy had to ask and punch in my telephone number for my five stars account, when I could just do it myself. I wouldn’t want a stranger to get and know my number.

I’ve been to this boba joint a couple of times and I have to say that each time has been great. The drinks are very good and reasonably priced. They have a wide range of drinks and toppings — all quite delicious! I also like that you can customize the sweetness levels. I’ll be interested to see what happens when they add food to the menu. What sets this place apart for me is the customer service. I’ve regularly interacted with NIc, who as I understand it, manages this location and the Daly City location. He’s been stellar with recommendations, offered me samples of drinks they were working on and overall, just makes my day each time I’ve been to Raging Boba because he and all the staff have been friendly and attentive. Shout out to Tristan as well! He’s hilarious and makes my Tiger Tea perfect.(Try it, it’s a Thai Tea and Black Tea combination!) I don’t live in the area because I currently work in Sacramento, but if I’m ever near the airport or San Bruno and in need of a milk tea fix, Raging Boba has yet to disappoint!

I really wanted to like this venue. It’s within walking distance from work and boba is one of my favorite treats. Two stars for their customer service — service people give customers tastes of their drink to customize and management team responds to customer comments in a satisfactory manner. However, the cons cannot be overlooked: — Boba: boba is often — and repeatedly — not cooked properly and is crunchy or hard centers.(When I first reported this issue to management team, I was informed this is due to cooling too rapidly and is a preparation error.) — Cheap cups: another Unilocaler had mentioned the cheap cups and I concur. The cups here come with snap-on lids rather than the sealed top ones. Management has recently upgraded the lids to fit better on the cups, but this is still a messier solution than sealed tops. — Tea quality: unfortunately, you can clearly taste the difference between Raging Boba and other Boba places in the area. The tea doesn’t taste bad(I don’t think so anyway), but when I had the opportunity to go to a popular boba place it was night and day difference. Simply put, if I’m going to consume something bad for me, it better be darn good!

Definitely not on my list of go to boba places. I tried this place once and ordered taro, the taro was so watery and the boba had a weird texture. On top of that their cups were the cheapest boba cups I’ve ever seen, they’re not the sealed top ones –they’re a basic plastic cup that you snap the lid on… looks like you could buy these from Costco. That threw my whole boba vibe off. Boo. I really wanted to like this place but unfortunately If I had a choice I wouldn’t come to this boba place again, I’d rather go to my usual boba places.

The guy behind the counter is friendly and the«regular» size is gigantic. That’s about the positives I can think of. The tea was lukewarm and so were the tapioca balls. Nothing was cold or chilled. Some of the boba balls were still hard in the middle. Again the due behind the counter couldn’t have been nicer, he offered to top of my drink after I was halfway done — but the quality of the boba tea here isn’t that high. The wifi here is from a cellular hotspot as well. High latency and low bandwidth. For those who are thinking about getting some work done while grabbing a drink.

Mixed experiences here. I was really happy when they let me taste test my drink before making the entire thing. But then the next time I came, they didn’t do the taste test, and I ended up with an overly sweet drink. I feel like whatever they do, it needs to be a consistent practice. I did like the taste testing, so I hope they make that a consistent thing. The sizes are GIGANTIC. The small size is already big, so the bigger size is monstrous. I think the inconsistencies make this place only OK. They’re part of Five Stars so that’s always nice.

I really enjoy the drinks here! From the outside, it doesn’t really look like a boba place. Inside it’s really roomy, but the décor isn’t what you’d find in your typical boba shop. New drinks and specials are on poster boards with printed out pictures and written on prices. If you can get passed that, which I can, check out their cool variety of drinks. They have some special ones that are their own creations. You can also create your own drinks with up to three flavors. The sizes are HUGE! The«regular» is really, really big. The more«regular» size is actually the«kids» size. Boba add-on is only 25 cents, which is really a steal. They have a variety of other toppings here also. I love the«Ex-Girlfriend» drink. It’s super refreshing and comes with strawberry popping boba. I like to add regular boba for good measure. The«Hapa» is pretty good too, coconut and almond milk tea. The tea isn’t super strong, but you kinda come here for slightly above mediocre drinks and way above mediocre size. There aren’t really any better options in the area either, so it’s a great reason to come here and give them a try. They also have snow ice here, but I haven’t tried it yet. They take Five Star, so no stamp cards here! EDIT: Took away one star for inconsistent boba. The last time I came here, the boba was mushy and kinda hard in the middle… one of the worst things you can do to boba!

This is our«go to» boba spot in the area where we live and very disappointed after this incident. My girlfriend and I craved something sweet with our«to go» dinner from Akagi Sushi next door to Raging Boba. I had a BOGO free drink because I am part of their rewards program and frequent this location. I ordered an Almond Milk Tea and she ordered a Lychee Green Tea. Simply, my girlfriend took her first sip and BAM! A roach. She bit into«something crunchy» and thought it was something else; it happens. But when she spit it out into a napkin, it had legs. Hella disappointed.

And the Dubs keep their lead in the series against the Rockets! So… This review is an update to my initial two star review from our last visit in January 2015. Nic, one of the owners, reached out to me on the same evening of my review. He apologized for my family’s bad experience with his business partner(who I referred to as «Mr. Grumpy Pants») and invited me to return for a fluffy snow, on the house, as an appeasement. Four months later and I’ve yet to return. Until tonight May 2015. We considered giving San Bruno Raging Boba another shot. So the fam & I decided to watch the 1st quarter of the Warriors vs Rockets Game 2 there. We walked into the store and were welcomed with a warm hello by the gentleman behind the counter. I wish I’d remembered to ask him his name cuz he changed our impression of San Bruno Raging Boba for the better. Nic sat next to the register with a couple other folks enjoying the game. I wasn’t here to take him up on his offer for the comp’d snow. I simply wanted to see what our experience would be like this time around, without bias. My daughter’s Mango Snow was back to its«fluffy» size, like how it used to be. Hubbz enjoyed his Taro with super soft boba, and my Tiger Tea w/Thai Walls was on point. The service from the nice guy who assisted us made up for our previously disappointing time with Mr. Grumpy Pants. I really hope the friendly service, fair portions, and quality products we received tonight remain consistent. If this is a sign that the old Raging Boba is back, we might have to return Saturday for the Western Conference Finals Game 3 and order the same thing cuz so far it’s been working. GODUBS!
