I wanted something with Carmel and Chocolate frappé and the guy working there was very nice and made me a drink that I wanted.

Unimpressed. Undertrained staff. Bad customer service. I recently reviewed that I’d been to Peet’s for the first time up in Embarcadero, and decided I loved the place — gave it 5 stars, and now I’m giving this location a 1, which is sad. I also mentioned in that previous review that I was kicking myself for not checking in before my visit because there was a coupon for a Mayan Mocha(the drink I’d ordered). I live near Mollie Stones, and decided to see if I could grab that discounted coffee while I got some groceries. First off, I understand that the coupon is only for select locations, no worries, but thought I’d give it a shot anyway. I walked up behind a woman ordering a coffee, to which the two girls replied that they hadn’t brewed any. …you’re a coffee shop. Brew some coffee? The woman confusedly said she’d wait if it would be just 5 – 10 minutes? They replied that they didn’t know how long it would take and proceeded to converse with each other, unconfidently, about how to brew coffee. Side note: One employee was in sweatpants that read PINK across her toosh. I’m not a prude(believe me, I like a good set of comfy pants), but cmon. Isn’t there a dress code for work? Let’s be a professional barista and wear real clothes. PINK employee told other employee to «figure it out because she had to learn at some point» and turned to me to take my order: «I’d like to redeem this check in offer, please.» «Oh.» «Do you accept check in offers at this location?» «No. Not really» *Communication skills. She’s got ‘em* «Oh… Ok well I guess I’ll just get a Mayan Mocha anyway.» «So, you want a Pumpkin Spice?» «No…a.Mayan Mocha.?» «Oh. We don’t have those here.» I opted to take the previous 3 minutes as a sign that I didn’t need a coffee anyway. I hope that woman got her brewed coffee. They’re a slow location, and turned away the only two customers in sight. Good luck to them, I guess. Recommend? Not this location :/

The old staff had a bad attitude, the new staff… better.

Mission accomplished! I got my tasty coffee from here, no need to wait like other locations. Nice staff! Well done Peet’s!

There was something very off about my latte… I don’t know if it was burnt, or the milk was bad, but I couldn’t drink it. I didn’t want to be that person who brings their drink back, but I had to. I was really friendly about it, explained what I thought was wrong, and asked for a new drink. They made me a new one, but they were rude about it. The second one was terrible too. Undrinkable. I would have taken it back, but I didn’t want to deal with the bad attitudes.

Decent for being connected to a grocery store. Coffee is ok except for the one kid who’s been there about 6 months now and still cannot make a latte if his life depended on it. If I wanted burned coffee with milk id go to 7-eleven and make it myself. Another full cup into the garbage!

We come to Mollie stone’s regularly and love the market and its staffs. However we have multiple unpleasant experiences at the Peet’s with the staffs. The staffs clearly do not want to be there with their bad attitude in taking orders. We ask for latte in specific temperature but it always comes out way much hotter than we requested. Sad but won’t return.

I love Peets, I will drive out of my way for an extra bold Freddo. But this location. Well let’s just say PASS, my drink is never right, half the time they forget the coffee, and all I get for giving feedback is shoulder shrugging, no refund no I’m sorry nada. These folks need training.

I like Peets more than starbucks honesty. I do sometimes order starbucks if that’s the only coffee shop around, but peets is a better chain. Since there is one in San Bruno, this will have to do. Its convenient in a supermarket. Its pretty fast and not lot of people order so I like that idea, its somewhat cold around the café so youre kinda encouraged to drink something hot haha it never disappoints

Triple white mocha with hazelnut is my go-to drink. Peets always makes the best coffee, not sweet as hell like Starbucks. If I want a fruity drink, I’ll go to starbucks, but if I’m begging for real coffee(that’ll wake me up), I’m getting Peets coffee.

They always make a great drink here and the team is friendly I like that they have a loyalty card, too. The one thing I’d recommend is to keep the area warmer. It’s often too chilly for me.

Regular Peet’s customer. Handed my pre-purchased Peet’s gift card to cashier to pay for my latte. «Oh, we don’t accept those here.» Why?, I asked. She didn’t have answer but looked to her manager standing beside her who mumbled something that the cashier repeated, «Because we’re in Mollie Stone’s»… the whole time neither of them looking up to make eye contact, or saying another word, even after I walked away… clearly they thought their answer was lame… but zero customer service interest in helping me understand. When my latte was ready, they didn’t call it out either… maybe they saw me typing this Unilocal review. I drove a couple miles to go shopping here, just so I could get a Peet’s. Clearly will not be doing that again.

This place is the spot! Great people behind the counter as well! Not the usual personality deprived robots you usually see. I mean, where else can you go grab a cup of excellent coffee and the baristas either tell you a joke or dance for you? I usually get a cup of tea,(which they always have ready for me on the counter when i walk up) and sometimes something to eat. One day i asked for a slice of banana nut bread and the employee at the counter asked if i wanted the«bonus slice» i looked at him and said, «what’s the bonus slice?» and he pulls out a slice of bread that must have been 3 inches thick! The only place I ever want to go for coffee!

I love my espressos. Should I have to drink my espresso at a chain shop, my choice is Peets. But this one is NOT on the level and people at Peets HQ should be concerned… I asked for a double espresso short pulled. Two mid 20s guys were working the order. One brought cold cup and the other started the coffee pull. When politely asked to pre-warm the cup, I was shown the attitude: cup was flushed w hot water with some left in the cup. My short pulled was not short at all and tasted like s&*$. Not ever I’m setting my foot here. And now I have a doubt about stepping into any unknown Peets shop — there seems to be no consistency, the only thing why would anyone buy coffee at a chain coffee shop.

I like that I have a Peet’s next to my work but unfortunately they are not an official store so coupons, rewards and other things do not apply here. None the less they serve real Pete’s Coffee so I can’t give it a super bad rating. This spot just doesn’t have the same coffee expert feel as other spots.

I prefer Peets over Starbucks because of quality. So when i’m around here and I’m craving for Peets to Mollie Stones I go! It’s located in a shopping plaza, so there’s plenty of parking. Peets usually charge you less for things like $ 0 to make it low fat/sugar free or 0.35 for syrups(it’s 50cents for non fat milk and 50cents for syrups at Starbucks). I like to get the non fat vanilla latte with a pump of hazelnut. If I were a squirrel, the hazelnut would definitely be my nut of choice! Only downside to this wonderful coffee chain located inside Mollie Stones is that it CLOSESBY7PMEVERYDAY. Huge bummer for a late night bug like me.

Im not a Peets fan ATALL!!! Strolled in here for some hot tea for myself and my coworker, cus it was freezing tonight in Bayhill! Anyhow.the girl behind the counter was super friendly. She explained all the hot tea flavors to me and what they taste like! My boring self opted for Earl Gray. She even gave me 2 extra bags!!! Left her a tip, I think she thought the tip I left was unusual, she was about to give it back. Noooo! LOL. «its all yours sweety». She was super sweet. Also, this Peets is located inside Mollie Stones. so there is ample seating and ALOT to look at if you are bored.(check out the deli!) Ohhh yea and if you stop by this Peets… make sure u stop by Big Mouth Burger(had to plug myself in!) Peets.thanks for some good hot tea on such a freezing night in San Bruno. I will be back!
