From my numerous visits here, I’ve learned the quality of food and service highly depends on the owner’s presence.

We just ordered the Sultani kabob($ 18.99) for delivery as well as a few other things. We haven’t tasted the food yet, but for the $ 18.99, we got screwed. I sincerely hope that they just forgot the rest of the meat. Yes, it had the 2 types of meat as they said, but the portion was embarrassing.

Had a conference this week at the Omni Colonnade. Zaytune was in walking distance and we gave it a try during a lunch break. Loved it so much we came back again. Everything we tried was fresh and fabulous. Service was very kind and attentive. We’ve tried the vegetarian plate, sampler, hummus, falafel, dolmeh, sambrosas, Greek salad with chicken, spicy potatoes. Served bread and dip when your seated. Would come again and highly recommend.

I’m Persian visiting from Ohio for work. Took my coworker and friends here for authentic food which it was except for some short comings. The kobideh was perfect. Tahdig combo was decent. Halim bademjoon appetizer was tasteless The bandari stew which I had never heard of before needs to stay in Bandar. Too runny, dry meat strips. They were out of fesenjoon, the main reason I picked this restaurant over Pasha. They were out of cake too. Our waiter, Sam was fantastic. Recommend going there for the kabob, rice and bread.

Happened upon this little place and went in. The food and service were phenomenal. Asked the wait staff for his recommendation and he actual gave it. So glad I went with his guidance. The shrimp kabob was wonderful. The naan and samosas were excellent. The baklava tremendous. I am definitely going back to try more. I consider myself a foodie and not easily impressed. This place is definitely worth a visit or two or three.

Such a great little find! I love good Persian food! Inexpensive, authentic and great location. The beef kabob was great and the rice is fluffy and amazing.

I will start off by saying I am definitely not super knowledgeable on mediterranean or middle eastern food — I just know what tastes good and Zaytune tastes really good. I’ve tried the koobedeh(sorry butchering this) and the lamb/beef kabob as well as their gyro. YUM! They make the meat to your liking, medium rare for me, and I LOVE the naan and dipping they offer for free. The salad is also great, light and not too smothered by dressing. I am use to more fragrant, salty rice which this place has pretty bland rice but the meat/veggies definitely makes more than enough flavors. Service is usually very friendly if not a bit slow.

Food was awful ! I been to a lot of Persian restaurants I ordered the soltani and one of their stews. The meat was so dried that it wouldn’t go down my throat. seriously They brought me a black burned tomato ! And when I told them this was told the guy brought me a raw tomato !! And said its suppose to be like that !!! Really? I am not stupid ! I would not recommend any one going there. It’s a waste of money and service is AWFUL One star is even too much for this place !

If you want to ruin your experience at any other Mediterranean restaurant, try Zaytune! I promise, you will be sadly disappointed the next time you visit anywhere else; good luck enjoying Pasha once you have tried Zaytune.

I ordered Soltani. Hands down, this is the best Persian resturaunt I have ever been to. I have been to a lot of persian resturaunt in east and west coast. This is as good as a kabob gets.

The Chicken Shish Tahook is amazing, moist and gsrlicy. The gyro plate had generous meat portions and great spices. The server greeted us with brick oven baked naan bread and a small portion of feta cheese. Service was pleasant and attentive. Prices are phenomenal for what you get. Everyone in our party was pleasantly surprised, as we came across this gem after wedding dress shopping next door. So glad we gave it a shot.

Visiting from Los Angeles, I found this place on Unilocal and let me tell you it is awesome! It rivals the amazing home-cooked food from my Persian friends. My group had the Chelo Kabob plate and the Gyro plate — both amazing! We also had the dolma and the friend cauliflower. Also delicious. And don’t forget the yummy bread, herbs, feta and spiced oil they bring to the table while you’re waiting. Don’t miss this place. Some of the best food I’ve had in San Antonio, period.

Let me start off by saying that I love Arabic food, and am constantly searching for new Arabic and Persian restaurants in San Antonio. Sorry, I wasn’t a fan of this place. The service was genuinely terrible, but I honestly am not even rating it on the service. There were only three tables in the restaurant and the service was painfully slow and inattentive, I had to pull aside our waitress to ask for anything. That completely aside, the food really missed the mark for me. I ordered beef in a pomegranate sauce and it was way too acidic for me, to the point of being unpleasant. I nibbled kebobs off of my lunch-mates’ plates and they were OK, but definitely not anything I will be craving any time soon.

Mmmm mmmm good! This place is a little hidden treasure. I’m so glad I decided to check it out. First off they bring some bread with an spiced olive oil dip. Great starter. Then we ordered the roasted eggplant dip which I absolutely loved! For my main course I ordered the gyro wrap which was beyond delicious. Probably one of the best I’ve ever had. The meat was perfectly cooked and honestly I’m not a big fan of lamb because it’s usually really gamey but their gyro was fantastic! No complaints whatsoever! Our waiter was great! Attentive, friendly and always had a smile on his face. This place is just great! I’ll definitely be back with friends.

On a cloudy afternoon, we were driving by and we saw the sign so we decided to step on! We were greeted with a warm smile by the male host who welcomed us and informed us they have been open for only 2 weeks. The restaurant mood was set with gallery style spot lighting and with full length ceiling to floor window panes that are slightly righting to allow lower levels of light to fill the space. Light Persian music plays from the area of the register at a complimentary volume level that was not intrusive or overbearing. It accented the ambiance rather than dominating. A slight let down for me was the lack of a baby sling for our 4-month old daughter. Luckily, there was plenty of booth seating space which would allow our daughter to sit at a higher level for us to see her easily. I cannot imagine what we would have done if there was no booth seating. As a reminder this place has only been open to heat, and they will have that ironed out for sure. The host described the menu as more Persian. However, I wish the menu featured some images of their entrees for those who have no experience with this type of cuisine. Playing it safe, I ordered a couple coke. My wife ordered a Traditional Persian Drink that was an «ACQUIRED» taste of which our taste buds didn’t agree with. Next we were presented with a complimentary appetizer called«Noon Panir Sabzi». This appetizer features feta cheese, basil leaves, turnip, celery stock, parsley leaves, on top of flatbread — and it was delicious! For soup, my wife ordered the soup of the day, «Haleem” — it’s made with raw barley and has shredded and lamb inside of it and it takes 24 hours to make. The Haleem had a similar consistency of oatmeal but tasted a bit more bland for my taste– but was definitely not bad at all. For the entrée I ordered The Gyro plate and my wife ordered the Chelo Kabob(Koobideh). Our meals were served with in 15 minutes and the plate size and portions were huge. The meat on both of our plates were seasoned well and flavorful. I definitely recommend this place if you want Mediterranean food at a great price with good service. Though this place is fairly new, they will have quite a few of the kinks worked out very soon. The prices are fantastic. Each one of our entrées were $ 9.99. Fantastic prices!
