We happened to come across this gem when we were trying to find a place to eat that was not bombarded. We thought we’d try this and it was more than what we could ever ask for. They were very attentive. The food was great if you’ve never had this type of food you cannot go wrong with the gyros. My father had the fish sandwich which was on the flat bread. It was so good. Very good portions. The gyro and his sandwich were enough we could hardly finish the fries! Went back a second time and they gave us a complimentary desert so nice of them. Definitely going to keep coming back, love it and their service!

Had the family meal with a total of 7 of us. It was just too many different dishes. Everything became muddled after a while. The meat lacked flavor. The lamb and beef was too tough. Some of the apps were good. The falafel was. The dolmas however, were not good. My daughters hated it. We normally would spring for Pasha. Much better.

I love both Jerusalem Grill 1&2. The new one is closer to me. I was thrilled to see it open. I love that they are kid friendly, unlike other restaurants in the area. The waiters remember us and make us feel special. The food is always wonderful, no matter what you get. I love to split the vegetarian plate with my friends. It’s composed of baba ganush, stuffed grape leaves(best in town), hummus and scrumptious bread and sauces. The kebab plate for two will easily feed three, and it’s spectacular.

The service was fast and staff was friendly. Enjoyed the food, which came fast. It was hard to get in and out of the parking lot. Other than that, overall enjoyable experience.

I’m absolutely in love with this place. The service was excellent. From the moment that we walked in they were attentive without being bothersome. The food was impeccable and they went out of their way to ensure that we were satisfied. I had the beef shawarma plate which is a very generous serving and had to take some home since I was not able to finish it. I also had the sweet kenefa. This was my first time trying it and it was delicious. It was sweet without being overpowering. It is enough that it can be shared. I will definitely return and I highly recommend this restaurant.

Food was impeccable, service was great. I had the lamb gyro it was delicious. The service was fast. My husband travels to the Middle East a lot and he says the hummus and the lamb he had were to perfection. I will definitely come back to this place when I’m in San Antonio again. They need to open one in Houston for sure. We need something like this over there, and customers would enjoy it for sure. We even took some to go because we won’t be back around this side of town.

TLDR: The service was not good as the waiters were not coming by periodically and the food quality was not good either — as one of my friends had a hair in her food. It pains me to write this, it really does. I don’t know if my friends and I caught the staff on a bad day or what but here it goes. So, my friends and I met up for lunch today and placed our orders. I had the Kafta Beef Kabob plate and both of my friends ordered the Chicken Shawarma plate. For the Chicken Shawarma plates — they were not up to par as they looked dry and were not sliced thinly(as is usual with Shawarma.) Instead, they looked like diced up chicken kababs. If that wasn’t bad enough, one of my friends found a hair in her food. She didn’t order a replacement meal either. On top of this, the staff weren’t coming by to check on us and we had to repeatedly yell«Sir» or «Excuse me» to get their attention. Finally, when we gave our cards to the staff to pay for our bill, it took them almost 30 minutes to give them back to us. I’ve been a loyal customer of the original Jerusalem Grill for 5 years now, and again, this experience is making me question them. I MAY give them a second chance… but not at this location.

This place is amazing! The menu has normal mediterranean food like gyros and hummus and more obscure stuff like labneh. The pitas are incredible. It looks like maybe they have counter service during the week, but we had wait service on saturday. For starters, they brought us a piece of bread bigger than the plate and this great dipping sauce with cheese in it. We got a side of labneh to start and the gyros came out really quickly. They were perfect, served with a little tub of tzatziki. I needed two and they were happy to oblige. Looking forward to trying more of the menu. They had drinks I’d never seen and tasty-looking desserts like baklava. The staff was super friendly, helpful, and seated us the second we got in.

Updating this review — had the mixed grill and it was great. The sauces whether tahini or garlic were delicious. The kabobs were grilled fine; not dry. My favorite was the kubideh. The halal meat… ahem, kosher meat was spiced properly. Still no pistachio baklavah though. Good job!

I apologize for the lack of photos of all the food my girlfriend and I had, we jumped right in. The oil they use to start you off is perfectly spiced with herbs and some type of chili. It has crumbled pieces of feta cheese that seems to compliment it perfect. Our server was nice and suggested we do the dinner for two that came with your choice of 5 different appetizers. If it is your first time there, I would highly suggest it so that you are able to try several things at once. We had the fried cauliflower and eggplant, hummus, grape leaves, Jerusalem and Greek salad. The fried cauliflower was my favorite, but they were all pretty appetizing. Then we had the trio kabobs. The chicken was a bit dry but had good flavor. The lamb was very flavorful and definitely my favorite. I feel that the beef lacked flavor but was saved by the amazing combined flavor of the skillet veggies. Overall great experience. They got hit with a rush shortly after we had ordered and only had 2 servers. They were a bit in the weeds but worked well together. Kudos to the kitchen line for putting out everyone’s order in time. They need to prepare for their dinner rush with the kind of reviews they’ve been getting. Will be back soon!

Jerusalem Grill 2 is what I’d imagine having a second kid is like. I’m still bragging all over town about the first and now I have to devote my time to another one while still making the original feel loved? Jerusalem Grill 2 is the new baby and I’m in awe of all its perfect parts: convenient location, excellent service, delicious food. The OG has it down, that’s why they expanded obviously, and from the moment you step into the new location, you see they’ve stuck to their recipe for success. I haven’t found a bad dish at this place or even something just«not for me,» it’s all fantastic, my biggest complaint in trying something new isn’t not liking it, it’s having a 3rd, or 4thMUSTGET thing from now on.

My fiancée and I were thrilled to see a new Jerusalem Grill opened up closer to us. They are now our go to Mediterranean food in the medical center area. The chicken shawarma was so moist(it blew a certain place across the street out of the water!). The hummus was the most tasty I’ve had in San Antonio. Baba ghanoush was fantastic. They also have a fanTastic take out option: one meat and two sides for around $ 10 already ready to go. A must eat!

Superb Mediterranean food. Ate here a few times with the wife, and every occasion was consistently excellent. I’m addicted to the shawarma plate, either mixed or beef. The meat is tender and well-seasoned, served on a bed of rice, and accompanied by cucumber salad and a terrific tart hummus touched with olive oil. The meals get served with a delicious naan and herbed goat cheese dip, also extremely good. Would go here at least once every week if I could. The new location of Jerusalem Grill is a must-try if you enjoy this type of cuisine.

Normally Pasha is my go to place for Mediterranean food. Jerusalem Grill was a great find that rivals Pasha. Prices are reasonable, portion sizes are generous, and food is flavorful. I definitely will come back here again.

I was in town from Chicago visiting family and they took us out here for dinner. I’ve had Arabic food all over the Middle East and the US and I can safely say this place is top notch. The bread served when we were seated was very fresh. It came with what I think was olive oil that had cheese and it went so well together. Then came the mixed grills. The lamb was so juicy and tender. I honestly think it’s the best I ever had. I tried all the other meats as well and they were all great. I recommend this place to anyone that lives in the area or those visiting. You will not be be disappointed. I also believe this location is new and the ambiance provides you with a traditional middle eastern feel. So diversify and give it a try.

We are VERY happy that one of our favorite restaurants has opened a new location closer to our house. The food here is as good as the original. Their hummus is the best I’ve had anywhere. It’s amazing! This location matches the original as it has food from a cafeteria style line or from a sit down menu. This location is larger and nicer. I had the mixed grill. It had three meats, rice, cucumber salad, and hummus. It was a lot of food, but it was so good I finished it all. While waiting for food they serve pita bread with a dipping oil that includes cheese. It’s yummy. Although we didn’t try them, the desserts looked good. Will have to save room to try one next time. We will definitely be back more regularly.

Finally, I don’t have to go to pasha, that’s my biggest relief. Hummus is actually legit. And the garlic sauce is exceptional. I feel though there are a few efficiency issues that need to be worked out. Ie the ketchup and hummus delivery timing. I am so happy the medical center restaurant scene is improving.
