This place is OK decent price but the food is not anything special do not order the chicken wings they have hardly any meat on them but I do recommend the barbecue ribs. The fried rice has little to no taste. All in all if you’re in a rush good place if you’re looking for great Chinese food go elsewhere.

Unfortunately, my second visit to Wu’s kitchen was not as Fabulous as the first. I called to check closing time, ensuring I wasn’t rudely close to closing time. My order was placed: Hunan chicken, sesame chicken, beef lo mein, two egg rolls, and buns of some sort. Everything has been ordered before. Once I got home, I began to open the food. Everything looked alright until the sesame chicken. The chicken was congealed, there were four pieces of broccoli, and it tasted different. So, I call with seven minutes to close. I tell the first girl my story, and ask if the quality suffered because it was near closing, or did the recipe change. I’ve gotten the same thing enough times to now what to expect. She referred me to the«owner.» Now, this is where the problem comes in. The«owner» was rude, argued with me, and rushed me off the phone. When I asked to speak to someone else, due to lack of understanding she said everyone else had left. All that was needed was an apology for the quality. I may try this place again, but never anywhere near closing. Service is very important. **UPDATE** I called this morning, and spoke to another«owner» this time a gentleman. I explained the situation. He was very understanding, apologized, and stated he would remake the dish fir a future time. I am increasing my rating.

This is the best Chinese food in San Antonio area! We’ve been looking for a place to order take out from and this is it! Portions are great. Customer service is 5 stars and the flavors are perfect. They do it right! it’s not too greasy or too sweet. We had the general tso chicken with broccoli, spring roll, egg roll, and wonton soup. it comes in reusable Tupperware too. There were a lot of dumplings in the wonton and the flavor was great. the general tso was not too spicy or too sweet. Spring roll was great, not greasy at all. We’ll keep coming back! The only issue is parking. There is a bar and a liquor store next to it. There is very little parking there to begin with and the liquor store people stand outside and reserve spaces for their business so we had to run in and grab it and go. Not a bad complaint considering how good the food is.

Lunch: Ordered the Veggie Delight with fried rice and a hot and sour soup. My order was hot and fresh! my soup was amazing with tiny bits of chicken, tofu, and mushrooms. Not too spicy but I couldn’t put it down. I’m giving this review 4 out of 5 because my veggie delight weren’t entirely soft. The flavoring was there but just a tad undercooked. Great service and attitude! I think I found my favorite spot.

Came way out here because of Unilocalers saying this was a good place. First of all, parking situation wasn’t as perilous as others have said. Had no isses parking on Sunday at 1:30. It was off to a promising start walking in to the loud Chinese voices and the immigrant vibe. Adolescent girls taking my order completed the feel. The food was definitely not worth driving across town but if I lived in one of the box houses in the area this would be an ok place. The crispies for the wonton soup were stale. The sauce in my pepper steak was too gelatinous and unappetizing, sort of like snot and I did not finish my meal. The meat tasted gamey and not seasoned. Egg roll and egg drop soup were average. My spouse was pleased with his chicken plate but not so much the rice. I think i would order just pork fried rice from this place as that is generally what I look to most at any Chinese place. I say 2 stars, my spouse 4, so I land at 3 stars.

Being that my husband is a trucker and I travel with him on the truck I must say that we’ve had some really bad experiences when it comes to Chinese food. Today is the day after Christmas and I wanted some Chinese food so we saw this place on Unilocal and decided to try it! America, the waitress, was very helpful! The food is fantastic, the service is quick and I know we will be coming back soon!!!

First & foremost, I have to say thank you to our phenomenal waitress, AMERICA. We came out due to all the great Unilocal reviews and the hubby’s best friend really likes the place also. The food was spot on yummy! The fried rice was perfect, the orange chicken was superb. My daughter loved the sweet & sour chicken and my hubby practically licked his plate clean(he had the beef & broccoli!) We will definitely be back. Great little place with awesome food, good sized portions and reasonably priced!

One of the best American Chinese dishes I have eaten. I arrived to this fast casual authentic New York Chinese take out restaurant for a lunch special. I ordered the orange chicken, which is not on the lunch menu listed, but you can order it. You order at the counter or at the table and it is delivered. I started with hot and sour soup, which others have said was fantastic but it was not because it was thick and gloppy like the thick whites of eggs consistency. It was packed with tofu and plenty of vegetables though. I’ll bet their egg drop soup is the same consistency. Better go with the won ton or their house special soup. I ordered the orange chicken which came with just rice. I ordered steamed, and it was a long grain Asian type rice, nothing fragrant like jasmine, but it was perfectly cooked with individual grains separated. The orange chicken was crispy, sweet(I know a big complaint about American Chinese), but sour, savory, and mildly spicy. There were pieces of orange and orange peel in it. This is white meat chicken. This dish tasted just like PF Changs version and was excellent tasting. I could taste every subtle flavor in the sauce. The menu is huge here and they have 7 Mei Fun dishes, which are like Singapore street noodles. They are rice noodles stirfried in curry and other versions. Next time, I’m going to try the Spicy Mala chicken, which is also known as Schiuen chicken made with peppercorns. I know one thing: what ever I get here will be tasty.

Amazing! I don’t have good reviews for Chinese restaurants and never really enjoy it but always keep trying, and I’m glad I did! My initial plan was to go to Panda Express(ew, I know but it’s easy with the kids) and they were out of everything so we had to try somewhere else and Wu’s it was! The hot and sour soup was delicious and so was the shrimp low mein, orange chicken and sesame chicken. We will DEFINITELY be back again. The best part is how close to home it is too. So happy to have found a good small family owned Chinese restaurant to frequent.

So this review is based on 3 visits and one dining in experience. Also the«New York» style is what attracted me to the place in the first place. They certainly didn’t disappoint, as what I miss most from NY is the pork filled fried wontons, whereas most places offer the cheese filled variation. From top to bottom everything ordered was great, the fried rice and wonton soup area as good if not better than anything else in town. Last night I ventured off into a chicken egg foo young, and it was delicious and was cooked perfectly. This place gives that same NY feel to a warm and cozy Chinese food restaurant with small amounts of seating availability up front. Great food, and super polite service. Thanks and keep up the great work.

Nothing strange. Refreshingly not too greasy Chinese food with lots of fresh veggies. Next to Leftys so parking is a well known issue. Ordered the general tso chicken dinner with an extra egg roll. Came out to $ 9.15. Possibly overpriced for what you get quantity-wise but made up for in quality. Neat bright neon sign. They should serve tang. Wu-Tang!

I’m scared to give this place a five star review because I have a bad tendency to jinx myself and this is my new favorite place to eat in uptown. But here it goes anyway. It’s close to my work and my home, and I actually discovered this place while our realtor was showing us houses but forgot about it for over 6 months. One day we drove by it again and I was watching Anthony bourdain talking affectionately on tv about Chinese food and we called for a delivery. Then we found out they don’t deliver. Eh, whatever, it’s like a mile away or so. We ordered Szechuan bean curd, bean curd with garlic sauce, steam vegetables for the baby, and the vegetable soup. All the tofu(bean curd) was crispy fried to perfection so it had a nice balance of the crunch and the softness in the inside. The portions were generous and both of the sauces were amazing. The right amount of grease/sauce ratio you want from Chinese food. The steamed vegetables we got for the baby had probably 10 different ones and were steamed to a nice soft al dente and she enjoyed them. I liked it so much I got it the next day for work. I got the Szechuan tofu again and I got my boss the steamed chicken and vegetables. We also got the veggie spring rolls and he got the chicken egg rolls. He’s from LA originally and has toured all over the US and he instantly claimed that this was the best egg roll he had had ANYWHERE, not just in SA. The spring rolls are delicious and fried to a nice crisp. My boss ended up stealing half of my sauce out of my dish and pouring it on his steamed chicken and veggies because it was so good. The plaza here is a little strange, there’s a local watering hole called lefty’s… Which attracts some strange people who congregate on the patio, but they’re easily ignored. The parking situation is kinda hectic, each business claiming 2 spots directly in front of their door and claiming they’ll tow you if you park there, so I always just hit the rows further back. This place has a few small tables but so far I’ve only used it for take out. All the employees have been super nice and have even done a great job every time I’ve made a modification to a dish, even with the language barrier. Fast and delicious, give it a whirl!

The food was good and the service was fast. But there’s a Hispanic woman who waitresses here that loves to complain about just about everything under the sun… Even in front of guests who are in the restaurant.(Specific example: server openly complained about a sub par tip she received while walking by me while waiting on a to-go order) And to top it off she had to voice her opinion regarding customers that came in with about 30 minutes before the place closes and decides to make smug comments about how disrespectful they are. All in all, I will come back for their food(because it was actually delicious and filling) but if I have to see this server again in this establishment, she will fully understand why she receives sub-par tips.

This has become my favorite Chinese food in the area. Been here at least a dozen times and so far no bad experiences. Their hot and sour soup is by far the best in the area. The hot and sour soup is actually made to order and tastes awesome. They make pretty much everything fresh so that is definitely a plus. Great fried rice with generous amount of veggies and meat. The rangoons are crispy and fluffy and won’t you sick after over indulging. It’s a small place but I usually order take out and it dosent get too packed so never any problem finding a table.

I am not a vegetarian, but I think Wu’s could turn me into one! they do veggies RIGHT! crisp tender and lots of variety. I find myself passing up my previous faves like general tso’s and sesame chicken and ordering shrimp and broccoli or veggie chow mein. the veggies in their dishes are not overcooked and mushy like some Asian restaurants. and they aren’t coated with a too heavy, too goopy sauce either. veggie chow mein was only 3.50 I think and had lots if bok choi, onions, carrots, broccoli and zucchini if I remember right. I think I’ll ask for some mushrooms when I order it again.

Spicy dishes like garlic chicken were excellent. Not overly spiced. Large fresh shrimp $ 5.25 lunch specials. For a hole in the wall this little treasure can hold its own against the«big boys». Mala chicken was good. Crab Rangoon was crisp and again, not greasy and the sesame chicken was off the hook. Certainly worth a visit it takeout meal.
