Yesterday I booked an appointment with their«master» hair colorist or whatever they call their«best» most expensive hair colorist and told the lady over the phone I wanted either hi-lights, or low lights, not sure yet but going from dark hair to light color for sure. Arrived to my appointment today and ended up wasting my time and gas! Showed a picture of the look I wanted to achieve and was told it was a «balayage» color that he does not do, and does not have time for today. Apparently, they booked me for a 30min. appointment, 45min at the most! WHAT?! Never heard of a professional hair coloring done within that time frame, specially going from dark to light! Super disappointed with the time I wasted planning for this and clearing my schedule! So sad they could not do anything for a customer that was ready to pay for something they really wanted. They’re so called«master» stylist should be able to do MOST common styles & hair coloring today. Btw, I’m forced to rate at least 1 star but this place is truly a 0 for today.

Nahome is wonderful with hair coloring. All places I have tried in the past leave my hair dry and dull. I’m no spring chicken and nahome leaves my hair shiny and soft. She understands my needs and gets the color as I request. Everyone is nice and try very hard to meet my needs. My only dislike is the number of people that service me in one visit. It’s s great place to get your hair done. You just need the time to get serviced by everyone involved

Meh. I knew better. I was desperate for a haircut, so I walked into Visible Changes with high hopes for a good haircut. I paid the extra for a higher tier of hair stylist but I don’t think I got an $ 70 cut. Upon first glance my haircut seemed fine. But after week or so of styling, I can see that my hairstylist gave me another crappy, choppy cut. Curly hair girls beware. This salon might be fine for straight hair girls, but even after straightening my hair, you can see that my cut is a choppy mess. It really depends on your stylist I assume, but I won’t waste money trying again. Once my hair grows out I’ll go pay someone else to try to fix it.

Leslie cuts my hair and her work is simply outstanding. She listens carefully to what I want because I’ve changed hairstyles multiple times. She is very sweet and efficient. She is always booked, so if you are looking for a great hairstyle for the holidays… Make sure you make your appointment ahead of time.

The overall cut i received looks great and how i wanted it to be by val, however a lady at the front desk seemed to make no sense and came off as kind of rude to me. She has blonde and red hair i forgot her name. They offer military discount, but i guess for it to count the person who got the haircut has to show theirs? I forgot my id so my mom showed them her id but they didnt accept it. I dont understand why they wouldn’t accept it because 1. Shes my mom 2. She payed for the haircut and 3. Im only 17 and the lady said i was«of age» whatever thats supposed to mean. There was no reason for her to not give us the discount. So ridiculous. I had to pay $ 33 plus tip just to have my hair washed and to trim my hair. Wouldve been more stars if the lady didnt give me any trouble and gave me the discount.

This is long but necessary so please read all to avoid future problems. I went to the North Star VC location because of the great experiences I’ve had w the VC location at La CAntera. They are all supposedly trained by same people… But not sure anymore. I’ve had one other experience here and it was for a cut w a master cutter. She was great, my haircut was just as I had asked for… Worth another return. My second visit was today, for a color touch up to hide my grey. I again chose a «master» specialist and was willing to pay for a good color. I’ve been getting color for over a decade, so I know what to communicate and I always provide realistic photos of my desired color. Unfortunately, none of my experience mattered. In the end, it’s more about the experience of your stylist, and the young lady I got was no master colorist. Round one, hi-light low light combo, left me w chunky strips and a grey patch on my forehead like Cruella Deville. When I asked for a touch up to cover up the grey; which was the whole purpose of my visit, the master quickly stirred up more color and brushed my forehead from ear to ear. I could tell she was annoyed because she was fast and being rough. I took a deep breath, I didn’t want to be worried, even though I asked if she was using same low light she used before, since color in bowl was darker than before. she sd yes and then Sat me aside to wait longer than I did the first time… The result on try 2 left me w a headband of color darker than any other color in my hair… And a stained forehead. I wanted to cry but stayed calm. The shampoo girl knew it was bad. She scubbed my forehead so hard I ended up w/Indian burn. And the stains are still present after 5 hrs. The hairstylist assigned to blow out my hair was trying to help make it better, I truly appreciated her efforts… A manager was finally called and by the look on her face I knew she knew how bad the color job was. We calmly talked about options and though I walked in as a honey blonde w some grey, I had to settle on dark auburn lowlights to balance out the damage. A new colorist was given to me and he did his best by using the original low light used from round one… Which only left me w dark hair all over and the same darker headband of color at the front. If I was in my 20s or 30’s, what the heck… I would suck it up, laugh at a failed attempt to look hip and move on. But I’m a 45 yr old executive for a major company and all I could think was how awful the next few days were going to be… Oh, I forgot to mention I was going to wedding out of town for another executive where all other executives will be attending. After 3 and half hrs I just wanted to leave. I got my hair blown out in attempt to show it wasn’t that bad, but we all knew. The biggest kick in the gut, the bill was now over $ 200. I took a deep breath, sd I fully expect to pay for conditioning treatment and blow dry but by no means should I be asked to pay full price on the worst dye job I’ve ever had. The new mgr looked my square in the face and sd she could take off 30%. I wAs speechless. I took another deep breath and paid the bill. In the end, maybe it was just my time to get a really bad awfully color job… Lesson learned. Visible Changes at Northstar is not the place to go for quality coloring. And at 30% off, $ 165 is not a bargain. It a big waste of money and time. I tipped the girls that tried to help and went to my car to cry. A grown woman crying in her car over her stupid hair… Thanks for the lovely experience VC, just not sure it was worth every penny.

I got a haircut today at this location. Check in was easy. And when it was my turn the guy Eric washed my hair great. And when I got my haircut he was great. He listened to what I wanted. And I loved my haircut. And love his hair do. Will be coming back and hope I get Eric.

Warning: this review has nothing to do with the quality of work because the workers promptly blew me off multiple times. If you look on Unilocal,Apple maps and the Visible Changes website itself, you’ll see that they are open 11am-6pm on Sunday’s. I know that the waiting list here fills up very quickly so I got there around 10:45 to ensure my spot. I also knew that what I wanted was going to take quite a bit of time so I didn’t want to risk coming later in the day and not having enough time. I wait, and wait, and wait. I was every bit prepared to wait until 11 to talk to anyone. I could clearly see someone inside, talking on the phone. Another worker comes in and promptly sits down and does nothing. But then it was 11:15 and I decided to take a stroll around the mall to give them some time. It’s Sunday, everyone starts off a little slow on Sunday. No big deal. Then I come back, it’s 11:30, they should be up and running by now, right? No, instead I see two workers and what I assume to be a manager sitting on their butts, still on the phone. Only now, the manager is having mental breakdown and the workers are awkwardly sitting there not sure what to do. Everyone has bad days, I know and understand that. But at the check in desk? Really? Show some leadership and respect for your workplace and take it to the back room. And at the very least, get the store up and running on time so that you can have business! I’m beyond appalled at this behavior. I was ready to drop $ 200 on my hair today, and they just lost a great customer because they can’t pull their shit together. Great job, Visible Changes. I won’t be coming back.

A friend told me about this place and I’ve(like so many) have had up and down experiences. hands down, ive had the best haircuts of my life at visible changes. ive been lucky to get stylists who really want me to be happy and really worked with me and told me stuff about hair that i didnt know(because they are professionals!) that have helped me keep a prettier head of hair. they also did a stunning job on my mothers hair and color. super kudos! on the flip side– i hate HATE the pricing thing. youll go with a stylist for a while and you will really like them and then you feel awful when you have to switch because they are much too expensive now. then you have to see them while you are sitting in someone else’s chair. why does getting a haircut have to feel as dramatic as a Shakespearean novel? ive also been what feels like bait and switched before. I request a p
