The prepared food is delicious! I love the Tabbouleh. Wine selection is great, and all bottles I have had were that perfect combo of tasting wonderful at a great price point. Staff is helpful and super friendly. Definitely a spot you should check out in Southtown!

Really friendly staff. They will make you a great sandwich with very fresh ingredients on very fresh bread. I have found that’s not so easy to come by in Texas, the«fresh» part. They have some ready made salads also fresh and a nice little selection of wine to take with you.

On of my favorite little shops! I love all the vibe, the great fresh Tim creations and the organic local foods. It’s a little pricey, but the quality is amazing.

I’m happy this little store is open at Cevallos Lofts. It adds character to the local area and is a convenient spot for the downtown/southtown residents in need of a few grocery items. Be advised: yes, I said little because it’s very small. Don’t come with your grocery list expecting to find everything. For what they have, there is a lot of care put into the items selected for sale here. There is a lot of local, organic, vegetarian items available and in addition to canned/bag items there are freshly made salads/sandwiches/spreads. I like to stop in when I run out of healthy nibbles or beverages for work. Service here is super. They’re really friendly and always helpful. I recommend stopping in to check out this place at least once if you live in the local area.

Unilocalsters– THANKYOU for helping me find this GEM! I am so burnt out on hotel food and I was looking for a light dinner after a long day of travel. As always I see what is in my area for restaurants and grocery on Unilocal… And within 1.5 miles there was Uncommon Fare. They have the perfect items… Made to order sandwiches and salads with gourmet items, wine, beer, fresh cheeses and milk, organic juices, a small cold case with veggies, fruit, and some grab and go delish deli items. Add in snacks, basic dry goods, crackers, soup… And excellent service and you have yourself the perfect little corner market. I will be back to this perfect place! Oh oh oh and they have gluten free items, bread, and sandwiches!!!

I found this place of course on. Unilocal!Yay ! There are so many great places opening in Southtown it’s awesome. This place is remarkable small. I come here for the awesome Tim the girl’s hummus and kumbuach(a vinegar fermented beverage with lavender or ginger). There are some expensive items there, but overall a pretty good selection if you can’t make it to whole foods.

I planned a trip to Uncommon Fare and was pretty excited to support local. It’s located on the south side of downtown and in a in e neighborhood. It’s an extremely tiny place but looked interesting. The woman behind the counter didn’t acknowledge me when I walked in, but she was helping another customer. I walked around, but there wasn’t a large selection if food. It looks like they had either been busy or didn’t restock. The woman behind the counter went from helping the customer to playing on her phone. It wasn’t until I walked to the checkout that she acknowledged I was in the store. Even then, she didn’t say anything to me. Seems like poor business etiquette on her part. I won’t be making a journey back. It was very cold and uncomfortable. Pretty sad selection of food too. Such a shame…

Cute grocery store in southtown. Hard to find speciality items can be found here, including local organic milk, gelato, and homemade goods. Very charming vibe. On the pricey side, and very small, but good for picking up a few specialty items.

It’s convenient and I have stopped by out of necessity. Sure beats a drive to the grocery store if you are looking for something to finish a dish for dinner after a long day at work. They carry a lot of stuff that is available at the pearl & quarry farmers markets. The items are marked up a bit from what you would pay at the market. Again, you are paying for the convenience. I heard there is a similar store that will go into the space across from Halcyon at the blue star complex. More choice is always welcome in a neighborhood that is pretty devoid of groceries.

I was pretty stoked to hear that the promised grocery store in Cevallos Lofts was finally opening. One of the downsides to living downtown is the lack of any kind of grocery shopping. Since the opening, I’ve been in several times to buy bits of food, and I’m impressed with the selection. The store focuses on healthy, organic, and fresh, carrying products such as Amy’s soups and free range eggs. There’s a daily lunch offering, and a small selection of fresh vegetables. What’s the downside? It’s super expensive. Even for the high end products that it sells, the prices are high. I mean, $ 7 for bacon is a bit much, right? But, I guess you are paying for convenience, and when you want bacon, you want bacon.
