The piccadillys are amazing here. The only downside is the wait time. They need to hire more staff members or implement a system to make the raspas faster. The prices are also expensive. A piccadilly is $ 7.00

This place is a house converted into a business. Upon entering the gravel«yard» area in front of this business there were lots of people waiting around but I wasn’t sure for what. The layout is confusing so we’re not sure where we place orders or how we get someone to take our order. We approached the windows where they were calling out orders but nobody acknowledged us for a few minutes. We decided to look over the menu posted at the wall. After a few more minutes we noticed a line had formed in front of the other window so we were officially at the back of the line now even though we had been waiting for several minutes prior to the arrival of everyone else. This was a little annoying, but oh well. Our fault I guess for not knowing the correct window. The wait took forever as we were 4 people back and it seemed to take 3 to 4 minutes per order. Eventually we made it to the window and the girl taking orders seemed annoyed. It was as if she was doing us a favor by taking our order. She wasn’t straight out rude, but the customer service was poor. We placed our order and seemed to annoy her as we have never been here before. The cost was $ 23 for 4 desserts. Way too expensive in my opinion for the experience so far. After about 20 minutes they called our order number. Now I know whyou everyone is just waiting around here. The treats were devine and delicious to say the least. It was probably one of the best variations I have ever had of a mangonada. Unfortunately the lousy experience will not make me a return customer. Someone else can continue to pay way too much to be treated as a annoying confused customer.

My kids and I visited on a late Saturday afternoon. There were quite a few people when we got there. I ordered the mangonada and my girls ordered son-cones. One thing I noticed is that there is limited seating. Prices were reasonable and treats were delish.

ok so. I can here on a Sunday to see what the big deal was all about. I’ve heard so many great things about this place and I’ve always been curious to try. My bf and I decided to just take the plunge and go try it out(I think it was after 6) .First thing, there was a line that never seemed to end. Waiting wasn’t so bad though. Second they have various kinds of the shaved ice, we decided to go with the original mangonada so that we could have something to compare our usual mangonada to. We paid $ 7 something for a mangonada and three strips of sour belt. it was more than enough for my bf and I so we cant complain about the amount that is served. They don’t have that much chamoy though, he didn’t seem to mind, but I like to taste the sour and spiciness in mine. in conclusion it didn’t taste bad, but Ill stick to my usual place for a mangonada that will cost me for 1⁄3 of the price I paid here. I will however go back to big daddy’s so that I can try the other versions of the shaved ice, maybe that will spark my tongue fancy better.

Ok so everything is super super good which is why I always go, I gave a 3 star because the wait is ridiculous every single time we go literally like an hour and there is always like 15 employees staffed so I have no idea why the wait is so long. And secondly I guess they downgraded there spoons because me and everyone I was with the other day cut our lips inside our mouth because the spoons are so sharp! I know that sounds crazy but yea the spoons are cheap and sharp so please be careful with the spoons if you are feeding your children with them!

Pros: spacious, fenced in, colorful yard, large menu for easy ordering, delicious raspas, employees will touch up on chamoy/lucus if you ask, and use their Unilocal deal on your first visit! Cons: The wait time– this was the biggest turn off. more than 30 minutes for a mangonada and coconada when there were only 2 customers before us Overpriced– same stuff at similar places(los cocos, las nieves) cost almost half as much :( Lots of space, but limited bench seating– when the raspa towers over the cup, i need a table! Or at the very least, more seating. They could benefit from adding a couple picnic tables

I’m kinda disappointed I’ve heard such great things about this place. In order to avoid a line u have to literally go by during the day before 5pm so u won’t be in a line. Its good but bad cause there nights me and my kids want to grab a snack to eat and there is just a line every time. Also as we got our treats I was sadly disappointed cause all the hype about these treats it had not much of a taste of freshness. To make it even worst it was my very first time there. Very colorful place and looks good but taste was not good for us. I won’t be back. It was 1st and last time

Let me start with the pros. Great snacks! Nobody else in the city can come close… That’s about it with the pros. CONS: Please TRAINYOUREMOLOYEES! The wait is ridiculous for what you serve, it’s ice. You are making the bucks for now, invest in a proper POS and restraunt order system. This will cut down on wait time and your staffs mistakes. You guys are so inconsistent with your products and it has a lot to do with your system and your employees not doing a good job. Most of them act like they don’t want to be there. PARKING! Please make a deal with someone for parking or you might as well shut it down. You get a one star simply because once in awhile when your workers get it right it’s good. Once those condos and apts are built big daddy’s may be gone cause nobody will be able to park

Big daddy’s is one of those places that will haunt your dreams forever, maybe it’s because I don’t live in Texas so I don’t know when I’ll be back to try it again. But I find myself waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat, itching for another bite of there fresadilly. Pickles in a snow cone?! I didn’t know such wonders existed, please come to Vegas big daddy!

It’s supposed to be the best, so the lines get long! It was very good! I’m glad I went there.

Good mangodillys but a bit pricey for me. $ 7.50 for one but I will say they are huge. Easily two can share! Parking is very limited; once inside no yummy pics or extensive menu. Would go back maybe… maybe try something else. I did go to the location on Gen McMullen, by the way!

First time we came here most of the time I just pass by because there is always a long line. We went on a Friday nite around 7 or so there wasn’t a line which was amazing. My sister said the Piccadilly was ok but that it was missing something. I had the cucumber hill it was good just the cucumber needed a lil more flavor. One more thing the parking there sucks just being that there is slot of construction and a couple of businesses in the area.

I’ve been craving a delicious rasps for quite some time, and boy did Big Daddy’s satisfy my craving! I ordered the Mangodilly which is ABSOLUTELYDELICIOUS! This place does it right! The only bad thing is the wait time, but it’s so worth it! This place also needs more shaded seating area for those hot summer days, but other than that this place rocks!

One of the best raspa places in town! The mangonadas and fresanadas are amazing! I love bringing the family here for dessert. We are excited that they are opening a place closer to our house!

Great raspas. Staff is for the most part friendly. Only giving four stars for the long wait and because the staff freaks out if you don’t use their terminology. I called their chili powder«trechas» because in the RGV most vendors carry the trechas brand and they acted like I kinda insulted them and corrected me by saying that it’s, «Lucas» even though they don’t use the Lucas brand. Anyways, besides their Starbucks-strict terminology the raspas and environment are EXTREMELY awesome and reminds me of when I lived on the border. Wish they made all their flavors with the same ice Mangonadas and Fresanadas because they’re so dang good.

First of all, this is seriously the only place I’ll go for a piccadilly. No one else in town makes them the way they do and it’s the only place I’ll order it from. I don’t know what they’re doing to them but they are amazing! Pickles, gummy bears, lucas, chamoy, koolaid and who knows what else. Really sour and really, really good. Okay so the biggest complaints I hear about Big Daddy’s are 1 — It’s all hype and B — The wait is wayyy too long. Honestly, with the type of stuff they offer I’d say they live up to the hype. You don’t really get as many options at other places and again, they put out a good product. As for the wait, yeah it can get bad. I once spent an hour waiting back when they went out to parks with their truck. I think now that they’ve got their actual place as opposed to just a mobile truck, it goes a lot faster. My advice would be BRINGCASH. The cash only window had zero wait. We walked right up to the window, put in our order, got it just a few minutes later, took some pics and we were gone. Meanwhile the people at the other window had a pretty long line to wait in. I don’t have any complaints other than it’s kind of a bummer that they don’t seem to take the truck out to random parks anymore. Now I have to go to them! lol But it’s worth it.

If you want something cool, refreshing, and sour on a hot Texas summer day, go to Big Daddy’s. Granted you have to stand in a slow moving line, in the sun, but I love this place, so its worth it. I’m not a fan of sour stuff in abundance, so I get half blue dream, half fresanada. OMG!!! AMAZING. The Mangonada is super good with or without the chile, staff is friendly enough, just wish there was more shade, so I took off a star.
