This recently renovated and expanded HEB is a great option for those on the go. This location features a multilevel building-parking on the 1st floor with an escalator/elevator that take you to the second floor where the merchandise is. Although this location does not offer as much product selection(item variety)/services as other HEB locations(4 stars), it definitely offers all the basics and more. You just might not find those rare flavors/specialty items as much. It definitely has an expanded inventory then the previous store was able to offer. I have also noticed this location has ample parking and quick checkout times each time I have visited this store. I’d rather stop here for the essentials rather than my neighborhood store due to the ample parking and quick checkout. This store is definitely an upgrade and a great place to shop.

This was my first trip to this store. The drivers in the parking lot were a little crazy, but there was plenty of parking and the spots are large. In the store I was offered assistance by several associates who were all pleasant. I found the items I needed as well as those expected for this neighborhood. I also noticed several items carried by central market which were nice surprises. Overall, this was a very nice store to come to and I will be back :)

Great shopping experience. I LOVE that you can park under the store — that was something I really appreciated on a 100 degree day this past weekend. I felt like the selection was good in comparison to other HEBs. So glad there is a decent HEB on the Southside!

Great place to park your bicycle while you shop. Jarlesberg swiss cheese on the southide??? That’s a plus! Parking out of the sun and rain for my wife’s car, another plus. Bus route zooms buy out front every half hour or more often. Plus! Clean, helpful associates(HEB calls them Pardners). Thanks for bringing this store to the upper south side.

A recent renovation has transformed this HEB into the first two-story grocery store they have ever made. It’s kinda awkward getting into and out of this place, because all the parking is on the bottom floor. Once you get inside the building, it’s a escalator’s ride to the grocery store. It’s really cool that they saved the façade for the building, since the old building was a historic part of the neighborhood. It’s not the biggest HEB I’ve ever seen. It’s rather small, and kinda cramped. There’s a lot of stuff that they don’t have here that other HEBs have. They do have their own bakery, which is nice. Checkout is fast and easy. The staff at HEB is always friendly and helpful. I always appreciate them.

My definition of a «multistory HEB»: at least 2 floors of shopable grocery merchandise. HEB/local media’s definition of the same: a tiny little single floor of merchandise, with very little range in selection, basically on stilts above a *completely* inadequate floor of parking. Colossal disappointment!

What an odd grocery store selection(but it does the job) — here’s why: PROS: Small, so it’s easy to find stuff quickly Clear organization of food and supplies Good for grilling and household supplies Decent wine and beer selection Big frozen foods section Ample parking, convenient location CON: Small, so there are many food items you won’t find Early closing hours, so no late night runs are possible Understaffed sometimes

I always stop by HEB when I need something and I’m out of town. Since I’m from Dallas, we only have central market.

Thank you HEB for Nog-HEB. I love this store. It is small, easy to find what your looking for and friendly. Prices seem lower than other HEB venues around town. Old-school supermarket. Only negatives — the parking is «eclectic» but secure; some food items are impossible to find(don’t ask for tofu) Closest thing to a «Downtown/Southtown» grocery store in SA.

This HEB reminds me of a 1980s supermarket. The cashier was friendly and actually gave a genuine-looking smile. The store had a clear layout. Items were easy to find without walking all over the store. I didn’t like the layout of the parking lot but it was an efficient use of space. It was packed inside on a Saturday night. I think I was the only non-Hispanic in the store. Prices seemed better than my Austin HEB. :(

Perhaps I put a star too many(in the opinions of others), but consider the fact that I was being myself: A CALIFORNIATOURIST on a work layover. That and I had never stayed in San Antonio! Many Texan friends have talked about the H-E-B, which got my curiosity up. Nerdy but true I was excited for my first visit. ;) Where else can you find PICKLEDJALAPENORELISH&DILLPICKLEPOPSICLES!!! Did I have a good time browsing the store? YES. Am I preg-o and having cravings? NO… believe it or not. :D

My neighborhood H-E-B aka Nog-E-B in our house. Not the best by any means if you’re a vegetarian, but enough to get by if you’re okay with filling out your plate with some frozen selections. If you’re trying to make anything more than tacos or school lunches, you might be disappointed in what you’ll find at this store. If you treat it like the old H-E-B Pantry Foods stores you used to see around, you’ll be pleasantly surprised. I LOVE the layout and music because it reminds me of the H-E-Bs from when I was a kid.
