I’ve green going to this place for years & have never been so upset. Went in with a face full of eyebrows and leave with none! Stay away from Cici. Then she wants to give me a BS story about how it’s my eyebrows. REALLY?!? Then I call for a manager with no response! Unfortunately, not all there techs are great. So, if you want to keep your eyebrows, Charlotte @ lockhill is great and so is Gianna at ingram. Cici sucks and should not do eyebrows, ever!!!

So my virgin experience with a Brazilian wax was horrifying and it took me many blogs, recommendations and therapy to get up the nerve to try the well reviewed wax bar.
And then magic happened. I have been to 3 different wax bar locations and 4 different waxers and I can not say enough how awesome they are. These women are serious professionals and yet they are all hilarious and have a remarkable talent of making you forget a stranger is literally ripping hair from your hoohah.
The last appointment I had was with Cici. It was the first time I’d met her and she was super sweet. It had been awhile since I had a wax and my jitters were back but she had me laughing and made me feel comfortable. The actual waxing doesn’t take long at all and their method is the least painful by far.
I saw that many people have trouble with the app but I’ve booked within 24 hours of my appt and never have had an issue. They also offer shots and numbing creams if you can’t quite get up the nerve.

Waxing is fine. there online booking and app, doesn’t work. Anyone interested in using their services needs to call to make appointment. don’t trust the apps and online. 4 times in 3 months. they didn’t have me on the books. Same old excuse they blame on developers., glitches in the app… still same old excuse.
Again, waxing is fine. the scheduling system sucks.

I’ve been to the Lockhill Selma Waxbar many times, and really have never been disappointed with my service. Every staff member I encounter is super friendly and competent. Barbie has been my usual aesthetician, and she is super sweet and skilled. Never more pain than there should be, no strays, and always something interesting to say. I love the retro themed décor, and although I’ve never partaken, appreciate the liquor shots offered in the waiting area. Plus the magazines are actually pretty decent and not 3+ years old! A nice plus is the Wax Bar’s online appointment booking service– very easy to make, change, or cancel an appointment, as well as reminders.

Barbie is great for waxing services!!! She doesn’t brazilians and eye brows and it doesn’t hurt at all. She uses the right amount of distractions and quickness and the next thing u know it’s over:)

Had my very first wax done here (full legs) by the lovely Charlotte. I called to say I was running a few minutes late and she said it was no problem. I was greeted politely and made to feel very comfortable. I was in and out in about 45 minutes. The place was clean, she worked thoroughly, and I was happy with the results. If you ever make an appointment at this location, I highly recommend you get your services done by Charlotte.

I LOVE going to the wax bar to get all my waxing needs done! I have NEVER had a bad experience. Each waxed is different in their own ways but they are always fast and efficient and I always feel welcomed! They definitely make the waxing areas feel as ‘homey’ as possible while still maintaining their professionalism. 20 out of 10 people would recommend (; my first review was in 2013 of the wax bar on main avenue… they’re THAT good!

This place is phenomenal! The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the service is quick (but not too quick). The location is very clean and hygienic and they have some pretty funny comics on the ceiling to read while getting your wax on. At one point they had free liquor shots to those of age and needing some courage. I cannot recommend a better place! I’ve never had a cleaner wax job and just love the staff and my experiences since I have never been uncomfortable. It’s a shame they don’t have locations outside of SA since I’ve moved.

All the staff is warm, friendly, amazing, and fun.
They are easy to talk to.
I am so glad to come here and their other locations as often as needed.
Lorraine is spectacular at instruction and training of their gals.
I also LOVE their shirts.
I have been to Lockhill Selma and Judson. I look forward to visiting Main and Ingram.
I won’t even consider going anywhere else but the Wax Bar.

I came here just for a back/​shoulder wax. I was pleased to be able to book my appointment online.
Once I arrived, I immediately met Charlotte whom I found to be very friendly and professional. I went back to one of the rooms and had my waxing accomplished thoroughly and quickly. I was very pleased and would definitely recommend The Wax Bar to anyone.

Kimber was great — friendly, respectful, and professional. I felt very comfortable and plan to come back in 4 weeks!
