Ever had that pregnancy craving for junk food? Me too!!! I live down the street from Frosty Frog and had been there once some months before. Although at that time I wasn’t expecting, I just got shaved ice, but I knew they had tons of sour additives and junk food, which is what I was craving. I ordered the Strawberry something-or-another, a blue coconut shaved ice(for my daughter) and an order of nachos. Since I crave spicy and sour, I ordered extra jalapeños(extra $.50) and waited for them to come out. Right when the attendant opened the window, I accidentally dropped the 1st container of jalapeños. I asked her if she could replace them and she asked for another $.50. Although it was my fault, I was irritated that I just spent $ 12+ on my order and didn’t get the customer service I expect. Needless to say, I won’t be back to waste my money at a place that doesn’t cater to the customer.

I love this place! The drinks are really high quality, the shaved ice is soft and there’s a lot to chose from. The corn cup is excellent as well. Very friendly service every time.

It was my first time here and I loved the variety choices, which means I’ll be back to try more on the menu! The strawberry blast definitely satisfied my craving for sweet and salty.

Good place for snow cones. They have a large variety of snow cones plus other items. Super friendly new girl waited on us and did a great job. The banana split shave ice has ice cream in the middle and was absolutely delicious.

My family and I have been loyal customers for many years. Their product is awesome they have some of the best shaved ice in town there is no disputing that. But their friendliness and customer service has been slowly deteriorating through the years and seems to have reached a new low. The last 3 times going there they treat you like your bothering them. They are very rude and impatient with small children that can’t decide on what they want. They seem to also have a constantly changing reward card that never seems to work out. Either you have to come back to get your free snowcone or they’re no longer honoring them or they don’t fully understand whatever policy they are going with for that day and act like you are stealing from them or ripping them off in someway. It’s for returning customers why would you treat a RETURNING customer bad? This is San Antonio customer appreciation is what makes a business here they need to remember that.

How do you ruin raspas? Going little on flavor. Thankfully, FF does anything but. Big as their flavor list is the actual amount of flavor in all of their shaved ice offerings. No skimpiness here! My personal favorite and perpetual go-to is their ‘SPIDER-MAN&HULK’ — chamoy at its finest — with pickles and chili powder. I forgot its price, but I don’t care. It was mind-numbingly refreshing. Catch the Frog in its bright orange truck! Parked in front of Bandera Pointe’s Barnes & Noble at the far end of the parking lot, you can’t miss it. The typical 5-minute line ought confirm you’ve arrived.

Great variety they offer. Perfect remedy for this heat. I ordered the #1 Terminator, packed with chamoy, pickles, etc. Got to eat it fast though, melts pretty quick.

Love love love! Mangonada is just the perfect amount of sweet/salty/spicy. And the loaded cucumbers are amazing! I found my new favorite spot!

Everything here is really yummy. Just be prepared to wait a while. It seems that it’s just a 2 – 3 person operation and they get busy fast. Lots of different flavors of raspas to choose from even some I’ve never heard of. The corn in the cup is delicious as well.

Stopped in the other day and tried their mangonada. Just the right amount of chamoy and chili powder. Ordered mine with strawberry belts on top. YUM! Line wasn’t too long. Took only a few minutes to get order.

I grew up in the rio grande valley so im used to all the different combinations of raspas. Unfortunately im not a tamarindo, chile, chamoy type of girl. I love love pickled or lemon juice raspas. I decided to give this place a try after a few of my co workers were saying it was good. They have the originals of course but then added some new flavors. Since i was a newbie here i decided to ask about certain ones. My first pick was the salty frog. Lime raspa with pickle juice, cucumbers, pickle pieces, beer salt and chamoy. I 86’d the chamoy with the quickness. They still put a lucas straw in but i was able to take it out with no harm done to my raspa. When i took my first spponful i swear my eyes went in opposite directions due to the sourness of my raspa. It was everything i wanted! I think i finished it in 2.2 seconds. I still claim the monkeys ate it. If you are in the area you have to give this place a go. Definitely a place i will be going back to. Thanks Frosty Frog im hooked!

Out of frito pie in the middle of the day. After paying for our order was called back up to window because worker forgot one of the items while ringing us up. Once they called our number was told the corn in the cup would be ready in a minute. Waited for more than 5mins and saw another customer who paid after us walk off with a corn in the cup. Went up to the window only to check on the order and was told ‚” I thought we already gave you yours. «Extremely disappointed in the service but our snacks were ok.

I came across this place when I was picking up a book at Barnes and Noble. I was immediately intrigued to see such a long line of people waiting by their orange food truck, I just had to join the cult and wait for my initiation. After waiting about fifteen minutes(trust me it is worth every second) I was finally allowed to walk up to the window and place my order. Let me tell you it is flavor overload when you realize all of the possibilities you can do to your shaved ice. From chamoy to pickle even Tiger’s Blood, I knew I wasn’t going to be able to settle for just one. I added about five flavors and created my dream shaved ice and was able to pay with my card. They finally called my number and I felt like Charlie when he found the golden ticket. Once I took the first bite I knew the inner child in me would not let me wait till I got home. I devoured that shaved ice with no shame and was not concerned who might have been looking. One of my favorite shaved ice places and if you ever see a «maniac acting like they have never had shaved ice before when eating,» it is most likely me.

Love The Frosty Frog! Off 1604 and Bandera which is super convenient if you’re located closer to the NW side of town. Delicious mangonadas, yummy corn in the cup and great customer service! Last time I was there I got gummy bears and extra chamoy on my mangonada, it was delicious!

I found this place while looking for legit mangonadas. I’ve never had to wait more than 10 minutes and since this place is at a shopping center, there is plenty of parking. I always get the 32 oz mangonadas, yes 32oz… and get funny looks by the bistanders. There is no shame in my mangonada game!

This was my first shaved ice experience! It was everything I imagined. I added a scoop of ice cream for .50 and that really made the experience so much better. Their ice cream is so creamy and good. My hubby got the mangolada and he said it was just as good but he wished it had more chamoy and chili powder more in the inside or at least piled more on top. $ 7 for both.

Best place for a snow cone on the north west side of San Antonio. A ton of options to choose from. It has been getting popular so some times you might have to wait 10mins to get your snow cone but it is always worth it.

I love shaved ice. So much. It’s something I can always look forward to. Now I have been to Frosty Frog multiple times. Even back when it was called Frigid Frog. Anyways. I used to ignore the terrible customer service all the time because there wasn’t anywhere else I could go for a delicious shaved ice(I don’t think Frosty Frog is so delicious anymore). Thankfully, San Antonio now has a Bahama bucks which I really prefer. Anytime I have come to Frosty Frog I am treated as if I am annoying them with my business. I am constantly ignored. It’s almost as if they don’t want customers. Needless to say I will stick to going to Bahama Bucks for my shaved ice needs.

The best Mangonada’s and shaved ice in the city! Always Very friendly. Very fast service even with a long line. Worth the wait! Well, I’ve bought plenty of these things. Went on 5÷6÷14 at around 7:30 and asked for xtra chili in the middle. They put even less all over. Had on top, non in the middle and hardly any at the bottom. I’ve had plenty from this place disappointed. And not cheap either.

The best in the area. Everybody goes to Bahama Bucks, because it is trendier, but I don’t want to wait 45 minutes for a sno cone and look like I have lipstick on afterwards(I’m a man). Plus, Frosty Frog has«sour squirt», which is intensely sour. The Bahama Buck’s sour is not sour at all. The little orange trailer in the Barnes and Noble parking lot across from Target and behind Sausalito and Sea Island is a regular spot for me and mine during the summer(2 – 3 times per week). Tiger Blood with sour squirt is always perfect. Great consistency and flavor selection. I just wish they had a bench or a table and chairs… something to provide shade or a place to sit in the middle of the 100 degree day. We end up standing behind the trailer near a tree eating our ‘cones.
