Service is slow. Seats are uncomfortable and the place obviously doesn’t put a lot of money into the upkeep. HOWEVER, they show movies that NOPLACEELSE in San Antonio does! He Called Me Malala is a newly-released documentary about Malala, a 17-year-old Pakistani girl who was shot in the head by the Taliban for speaking up about the right of all females to be educated. She is the youngest winner of the Nobel peace prize. BIJOUISTHEONLYTHEATERINTHEENTIREAREATHATISSHOWINGTHISDOCUMENTARY! Otherwise, to see it, you would have to drive to Austin or Houston. In addition, at the same time as they are showing Malala, they also have two movies with lesbian actresses playing lesbian characters. I will continue to support BIJOU for the movies they choose to show. Enough said. 5 stars

I was SODISAPPOINTED with this place! I went to see a movie that was over 2 hours long. Before the movie started, I ordered a pitcher of beer and chips and queso. I didn’t get my beer until an hour and 30 minutes had gone by. Then at the 2 hour mark, he finally brought the«chips and queso» which was some stale tortilla chips and some nasty Ricos cheese in a tiny cup. The women’s restroom was broken, so we had to use the restroom with the urinals. I have 3 children and have never smelled anything so disgusting in my life. The waiter told us not to worry about the check and apologized, which was good, because had he brought me a check, I would have promptly gone to management. I really believe the only reason this place is still open is because they show films that no other theaters show, but I would rather go buy the damn movie than EVER go to this rip off of a theater again.
