This place was recommended by some friends but I found the DJ to be rude, and the crowd is not Karaōke worthy. Not a good place if you want to chill and hear some good singers and folks who just want to have fun. I would stay away and look for another place. The food is subpar and the wait staff is indiferrernt at a premium price.

i always want to put«cat on a…» every time i see, hear, or go to this bar! i know, overdone cliché, but this place fits the bill if you’re looking for a great neighborhood bar. located in the med center off I 10, hot tin is THE place to go for live band karaōke, and be forewarned that you may want to get there early on those nights(friday and saturday) since it can get packed, and many participants like to reserve tables. the food there is decent bar food: lot’s of fried food, like shrimp and loaded waffle fries. i usually partake in the $ 4.00 jack daniel specials on fridays, but the bartenders are very friendly and pour a nice drink. the beer selection is decent as are the prices. there’s a main seating area with the bar and stage, and then there’s a game room which has tables along with darts and a pool table. a patio is located adjacent to the game room that also has tables and seating. the last friday night i went, i noticed that there was a guy sitting in a lawn chair watching the parking lot: guess that’s a nice touch. despite the dated wooden interior and exterior design, it’s an overall nice spot to sling back a few. not an ounce of pretension=my kind of joint.

This is our second time to the Hot Tin Roof. Both times we have been during happy hour and there wasn’t a big crowd — just enough to fill up the bar area and maybe a couple of tables. It helps that we always have a coupon when we go also. Each time that food has been good, for bar food. This isn’t a five star by no means — just average bar food. We get poppers, mini burgers, a salad and sandwich(we have to spend so much with the coupon). We usually always bring food home. The last time we were there it seemed as if there were some regulars. I don’t think I would like to go on a busy /or loud night though.

I would not go here again even if You paid me. Me, my bf, and a friend went here on a Saturday night. The music was loud. The margarita i had had wayy too much tequila in it. If that wasnt bad enough, we had just sit d own at tour table, emjoying our drinks, when someone came in and pulled out a gun and shot someone right there in the place.

I’ve had an OK time both times I’ve been here. It looks kind of flashy/trashy from the outside.(In fact, I thought it was a strip club until someone told me otherwise.) Anyway, both times the bar has been pretty empty. A few folks were going up for karaōke. The first time I went a family was sitting at one of the tables with their toddler… A bit weird, I thought. The drinks are priced low and the inside of the place looks interesting too, mostly wooden. I do believe they serve food, but not sure until what time. I haven’t gone out of my way to go back, though.

There wasn’t anything particularly special about this bar but there is a good amount of parking, good drink specials and when I went there was rock band karoake(live band playing karoake music). It was fairly fun with the karoake but I wouldn’t make a special trip to go back unless a group of my friends was going. It’s worth a try just to form an opinion or if you have friends to go with you that enjoy their drinks specials…

This place is kind of hidden on the service road of I-10, right next to 410, so its easily missed. Nothing special, but it’s a pretty nice place with a 2 bars, one downstairs and the other upstairs. Apparently they have karaōke on Sun and Thurs. Happy Hour deals are pretty good, check the website b/c they change everyday!
