Used to be good but quality has gone downhill. Dry meat, green salsa not as good, beans have a different flavor. So sad because they finally started showing up on Unilocal

I think we will be back. My husband and I were looking for some traditional Mexican tacos. We are not big fans of the queso fresco on tacos. We liked the quesadilla and the elote. We ate there, but we had to wait for a very long time for them to charge our credit card. They kept it the whole time we were eating and i had to remind them several times to please charge me. I guess they didn’t know how to use the machine.

This would be my first Unilocal review but I felt this establishment warranted a review. Now I don’t know if the fact that I hadn’t had a bite to eat all day made the disappointment seem that much greater or if this place actually sucked as bad as it did. Let me start by saying that I am used to eating tacos on the streets of Mexico, Michoacan to be specific, so I might be a little bit of harsh critic. Let me start by saying that I’ve never in my life seen these type of street tacos served with queso fresco. As soon as I took a look at the menu and noticed there were only three types of meat being served I knew this would probably be a big disappointment. Some of the meat was obviously but prepared and more than likely in a plastic bag, as it did have a faint aftertaste of plastic packaging. There isn’t a whole lot I could say about the menu since it is so basic, but I will say this, it is ridiculously overpriced for the quality of the food being served as well as the portions. So if you’re looking for some good tacos, stay away from this place unless you’re coming in drunk or you have no other choices. That being said the staff was friendly but even so I will not be returning for seconds

Omg! The tacos are amazing at this taco truck. If you are ever on nacodoches Rd you have to stop by and try the tacos. The Sopes are to die for must and a mexican coke perfect combination

I definitely recommend getting the mini tacos if you eat meat and the steak quesadilla. I got the bean and cheese and veggie taco which were both so good and flavorful. My friend who used to have a taco truck and is a taco snob was sold and raved about it. The green salsa that they have is no joke. It’s so good and hot but so good. My mouth was on fire and I was sad I ran out of food to put more on it.

Best Taco stand on the NE side of town. They put a lot of love in their food and their business. Everyone is so nice and does a really good job at making one feel welcome. Thank you!!!

Had the alambre tacos order, elotes en vaso, and asada quesadilla with my husband last night. Elotes en vaso was definitely one of the better versions I’ve had. Alambre tacos used what looked like fresh grilled jalapenos and better than the quesadilla in my opinion, but the quesadilla was still good. The quesadilla was one tortilla pressed in half and I’m used to a whole order with 2 pressed tortillas. Will have to try the sope next time. FYI this place is easy to miss because it’s a food truck next to a warehouse type building. It’s right next to the stop light.

Tried this place after going out one night and thought the tacos were the best thing I’d ever eaten. Tried it again when I was sober and they are. I’m definitely addicted to this place. I didn’t know what a torta was until I had one here ans they are Sooo good. Not a huge fan of the tostados but that’s just me. Oh and I cant forget the green salsa! Best salsa I’ve ever had! Love this place and the wait is a little longer than Erics which is right next to it but the quality is soo much better.

Like many… I came across this place after Erick’s Taco Shop was closed over the Christmas holidays. The place here looks a little ghetto but don’t let that fool you. The food is delicious. The Tortas are awesome. The lady was courteous and our order was almost accurate. She just missed a Mexican coke but everything else was perfect.

Picked up the torta(pastor) and three orders of mini taquitos. They were good and included avocado and queso fresco. The reason why I gave them 4 stars instead of the 5, the food was cold. We don’t live that far from there for the food to get that cold in a matter of minutes. Next time, make sure your meats are warm.

Nice little taco truck. Good alternative to Ericks if your bored of going there or the wait is too long. Try their mini tacos plate. Come with onion cilantro and choice of meat. Can add avacado for extra as well. The salsas are pretty good too. All in all a good choice for late night munchies.

Best tacos to eat anytime. They pack them right and not scimpy at all. Make it fresh. Hot sauce is just right. They make three different kinds. Outdoor seating or take home hey offer. Ladies are alway smiling and ready to take order.

I can’t seem to tire myself of this place. I eat here 2 – 3 a week. Whether it’s late at night after some brews or after a workout, this place is consistently great. The chicken bs pastor tacos are my go to choice, always with green salsa.

I have been hitting this place up since they were located at Nacogdoches /Thousand Oaks. They moved had lost them for a bit. Started hitting up Erics down the street form them. Eric’s is good, but I like the food at Regio way better. Eric’s is nicer /bigger and they give you some extras, but the MEAT is much better at Regio. The salsa and their beans are great also. I have made many late night runs after hitting up Wild West with a bunch of friends!

My boyfriend and I stopped at this little joint the other day after reading the only review that they had. The other guy said that the food is great and the tortas are huge, he wasn’t lying! The food was really good and plentiful and the tortas are enormous. I’m giving them 4 stars instead of 5 because the pastor was a bit greasy and a little too salty and it made us both a little sick the next day. It was probably because we don’t usually eat greasy food but, if you do, and your stomach can handle it, I highly recommend this place. The chicken tacos were REALLY good and so was the salsa!

Sit your ass down. Get your pen and paper and take notes. Went to Erick’s. Packed. Saw this other joint, Tacos el Regio, noone there, no line, no drunk people, no drama. I was going to be the only MF’er there. F it. Why not give it a shot. GODDAMN the food was good! Ordered the mini tacos and she asked how I wanted them: pork, schicken or beef. Couldn’t decide and she gave me a couple of each. The lady that cooked was stupendous. Perfectly cooked meats and the salsas. F-ME. I was still hungry and chose a torta. I’ve never seen a taco truck that has tortas as big as the plate they serve them on. The bread. Mmmm. Melts in your mouth. Looks and tastes homemande. Excellent vehicle to carry all that glorious, tasty, fresh food. The tender beef, the veggies, the salsa, the avocado, the sour cream. Don’t miss out and check it out!
