I was really hoping this place was good because there have been so many restaurants in this spot that have not been successful. The first time we went, I thought the food was pretty good for how inexpensive it was. So I ranted and raved to my husband and some other family members about it. A few weeks later, my son decided to take me there for breakfast. We sat down and it seemed to take forever for our tacos to come out. While we were waiting, a roach crawled up the wall next to our booth, This was not a water bug(the big cockroaches) that can sometimes find their way into any place. This was a small DIRTY roach!!! It ran from the wall and onto my son’s side of the booth!!! Im sorry, I just can’t.

Stopped in for lunch for caldo. Came out with it and by the looks of it was cooked in dirty water. The broth was grey and chicken was not fully cooked. The veggies looked old. I should of taken a picture but I was so upset I just left. I should of listen to my coworkers no one likes this spot. And I asked for lemons for my water and they were dried up lemons with nothing to squeeze out. Will not return!

Good hearty food. They do a nice enchilada style(a.k.a. «smothered») burrito. The portions are huge and filling and the prices are cheap. The menu has amazing variety and choice. Service was fast and extremely friendly.

Rude. One star because I can’t put no star. My husband went in to grab a taco they will NOT take a debit or credit card for a purchase under $ 5. He didn’t have any cash with him so he left hungry. As if that were not unprofessional enough the girl behind the counter had a snotty attitude about it and pointed to a sign off to the side. There’s a Mexican restaurant on every corner in this town surely we can find one with better service.

Paulina provided great service. The puffy taco & gorditas are really good, among the best in town. The soups were also delicious. Sadly, like the best authentic Mexican places, close at 3 everyday except for Thursday when they’re open late which is super nice.

The one time I went here, I ordered 6 tacos. When they called out my order I took the bag and got home. I was missing 1 taco and the fajita tacos I ordered had 1 strip of fajita in them. The only good thing about this place was the tortillas. I’m glad they could get that much right. Never going back here again.

Nice neighborhood place. Not quite a hole in the wall. It has cheesy typical tex-mex décor and a large TV in a corner that is on. The food is better than most smaller places though. The flour tortillas are yummy and they have breakfast tacos all day! Also, the nachos had lots of cheese and beef on them so they seem to be generous with portions. Again, nice to go to if you live in the area, but no need to drive across town. Good prices.

Taco Doches is decent! They’ve got great lunch specials here, which include tea or coffee. The place is clean, and the service was very nice and efficient. My tea never went empty. They offer chips and salsa, along with a variety of salsas. The food was acceptable, nothing great. The portions were large though. It seems like generic Mexican food. It lacks flair, and passion. It looks like the Mexican food you see on an Old El Paso ad. It’s a good place if you need a quick bite on the cheap.

I’ve been driving past TacoDoches for months, and the name always makes me smile.. so cute! Finally stopped in for some take-out tacos, and the food is nearly as good as the name… yay! Charro beans: YES! A must-have on any future visit. Hell, I’ll make a point to visit if for no other reason than those beans. $ 1.25 gets you a big to-go container of deliciousness, absolutely loaded with huge hunks if bacon and kielbasa-like sausage. They’re fantastic! Tortillas: huge, perfect, pillowy. Al Pastor taco: looked suspiciously bright red and over-saucy, no pineapple evident, served in a flour tortilla, not corn. I wasn’t expecting much based on first impression, but it was surprisingly delicious.(Nice touch that they serve the cilantro and onion on the side so you can customize your taco dressing to your liking, though) Picadillo taco: too salty. All ground beef, no potato or anything else at all in it. Am I wrong, isn’t Picadillo supposed to have potato? Don’t mess with my carb consumption, people! Beef puffy taco: tasty, but the fried aspect doesn’t set it up for take-out success. I’ll have to try it again actually in the restaurant. Between the tortillas, the beans, and the great specials on breakfast tacos, I’ll definitely be back more often.
