Sabor Colombiano was yummy! I liked the fast service, and the diversity of food options that came along with it. I got the full plate, and got to taste a lot of the different foods — I especially liked the crispy bananas. Although I can’t speak on behalf of Colombian foods since I haven’t been exposed it too much before, I can definitely say that Sabor created a great experience for me. I think that the full plate was around $ 10 — not bad for a lot of food. The only reason why I gave this place 4 stars rather than 5 was because I didn’t think that the food was absolutely off-the-charts amazing, but regardless, I’m a fan. Would recommend!

This is a nice little good truck if you ever feel like craving Columbian food or if typical tex-mex is not hitting the spot. Try their empanadas which is a deep fried fluffy goodness of corn and meat mixed with other spices. They are a bit heavy so some control is recommended. Their Arroz con Pollo is fresh, flavorful and hits the spot every time as well. As much as I love the place3, the only thing keeping it from 5 stars is the heaviness of the food. Most of it fried or lightly fried and can pack a punch if you go to bob for variety.

Boy, do I love me some Colombian food!!! And Sabor Colombiano provides some delicious options. Arepas, empanadas, arroz con pollo… My partner in crime and I tried the sampler plate on our very first visit with them and we were about to go into fisticuffs over it. And don’t go in thinking something as ‘simple’ as arepas can be made like no big deal because I’ve made arepas at home and it can be a little bit time consuming. So I was especially grateful that they had that as an offering. The arroz con pollo is packed with so much flavor it was ridonkulous. They could have just served it to me in a ‘big boy bowl’ and I would have just turned over on my side and cried in a corner right after… as a matter of fact, I think I did end up doing that.

Being indecisive as usual I ended up getting the sabor plate. A sample plate filled with delicious awesomeness. Yes I’m aware I probably don’t make sense. It was that good. The plate included arroz con pollo, empanadas. Arepa con carne and platanos. The arepa con carne was so amazing. It’s basically a tasty corn cake with tender flavorful brisket on top. The arroz con pollo was different than the usual Mexican and Puerto Rican arroz I am used to. The flavor was fresh and different. The empanadas were crispy and stuffed with a delicious ground beef mixture. And the platanos with the green and pick salsa /sauce they offer are fantastic. If you in the mood for something different. This is definitely the truck to go to.

Holy hell, this place is delicious! It was our first stop at the Boardwalk on Bulverde and I think the best thing we ate there. We ordered the arroz con pollo with platanos and an order of beef empanadas. After a brief wait, I was introduced to the best meal I’d eaten in a while. The arroz con pollo was hot and tasty and while I was expecting the flavors to mimic that of Puerto Rican food, it had a flavor all it’s own. The empanadas were different than any I’ve had before, I’m thinking because they use cornmeal in the pastry which gives it a unique and crispy texture. Be sure to dip the platanos in that oddly pink sauce they give you!

I wanted to try something different(and I usually never do) but I’m sooo glad that I tried this truck over at Boardwalk on Bulverde yesterday. I decided to get the sampler plate like the others said, it gives you a taste of everything so it’s probably the best thing to get if you’re not sure what you’re going to like! My favorite on the sampler dish was BYFAR the brisket on the corn cake w/the green salsa. So tasty! I’ve ordered here before for family members but never for myself and every time, I was greeted with a big smile by the lady running the truck and she was very welcoming. :) Yummy!

Man, this is my first time trying Colombian food and I must say it was the bomb! I’m going to keep my review short and echo what Theresa H. says about it — just go with the sampler plate. It’s less than $ 10 and gives you a great variety and quantity of Colombian cuisine. This truck is definitely worth following around town if it moves.

Sabor Colombiano can sometimes be found shacked up at the Boardwalk on Bulverde. However, I have also spotted it occassionally off Fredericksburg Rd close to USAA. The arepes are these thin cornbread style cakes served alongside choice of meat. The sausage almost had a cilantro flavor, and tasted great with the homemade salsas. The lady that was running the truck was cheerful and welcoming to everyone. If you spot this truck definitely grab a couple of items to try.

I hit this truck up when I visit Boardwalk on Bulverde. Great service and good food. The brisket on the corn cake with green salsa is tasty times. If you’re not sure what to get, grab the sampler plate. It’s got all sorts of delicious awesomeness and is a very reasonable price for a lot of food.
