Angus Smoke Shop

I am not strictly vegetarian, but I sometimes put myself on temporary dietary restrictions. So some time back, I was at the International Accordian Festival in La Villita, and I was trying to maintain a vegetarian diet at the time.
The vegetarian offerings at many restaurants feel like an after-​thought. I thought that would surely be the case at a place called ‘The Angus Smoke Shop’, but I was hungry, so I gave it a chance.
Well, they proved me wrong. This might actually be the greatest veggie burger I’ve ever had.
The service was great too. If you happen to see them out somewhere, definitely make this your meal plan.

Their brisket sandwich is delicious and the potato salad is really good as well. They have amazing customer service and we will definitely try some if their other menu items.

SOME OF THE BEST BRISKET I HAVE EVER HAD!!!
We came out on a super freezing cold evening (around 6ish) and it was pretty dead. Despite there being literally NO ONE there, 2 trucks decided to stick it out and bear the coldness. Even the dude at the beer station snuck out of there way ahead of his time! Nevertheless, I had literally the best brisket sandwich I have ever had in my life, at Angus Smoke Shop!
The brisket was so tender and juicy, with no gross chewy pieces. The guy who helped us was so extremely polite and even made fresh fries for us. Even the potato salad was good! We’ll be back soon!

A true 5-​star experience is awarded based on both customer service AND quality of food, in my opinion. When it comes to Angus Smoke Shop, for being a food truck they certainly provide better customer service than some so-​called «5-​star» restaurants even do. The reasons are as follows:
On a cold day with 45-​degree weather, Angus and Melting Point were the only two food trucks brave enough to battle the cold and still be open. I am glad we chose Angus. The gentleman behind the window was extremely friendly and helpful, providing suggestions since it was our first time. All I have to say about the food is that it was out of this world! The brisket sandwich (which he recommended) was really great, toasted buttery buns, hearty meaty pieces of brisket and crispy pickles. I did not taste onions in my sandwich, which is OK because I do not like onions anyway. For our two sides we chose potato salad (awesome!) and some yummy crispy fries with big specks of black pepper on them. The potato salad was seasoned perfectly and the potatoes were cooked to perfection. We got all of this for a mere 8 bucks, but of course I asked for a couple dollars extra to tip him as well as the beer guy :)
All in all, I have nothing but great things to say about Angus Smoke Shop and I would highly recommend you try them out some day soon!

A newer food truck (at least to me), it’s got an actual brick oven in the back of the truck, dough hooks, homemade dough (and everything else from the taste of it). Very friendly staff, very good pies (pizza).
The good :
+ homemade dough (and sauce i believe)
+ friendly staff
+ name is a nerdy math pun (Pi is an irrational number)
Not as good :
— dunno where the truck is when i need it, found it at Boardwalk on Bulverde
— still new, so could possibly get better

Fabulous chicken taco, pork ribs were tender and wonderful. Thank you, Gus for a nice first experience at a Food Truck park.

I feel guilty for cheating on BBQ Station with Angus Smoke Shop but damn… their brisket sandwich is sexy. Picture a hamburger bun that’s been toasted so that it isn’t a super soggy mess by the time you get it. Then picture succulent brisket making love to some hearty barbeque sauce. Top that bad boy with pickles and onions and you have a piece of heaven. Try it and revel in its glory. Kudos Angus Smoke Shop.
