They lost my receipt and did not give me my change back. I went to ask the waiter and she could not find my receipt. The food was also ok but it was cold. Awful service…

I really don’t understand how a place can serve such mediocre Mexican food and undrinkable margaritas INSANANTONIO. Isn’t that sacrilege? Is this place sustained by mostly tourists who don’t know any better? I think I came here a few times as a teenager, and now I remember why I never made it a habit. I came here with family while I was in town last month, and the food was so boring compared to all the other places I ate at during my stay. There is nothing special about this food. And most everyone who ordered a margarita said it tasted like pure sweet and sour mix and was undrinkable. I couldn’t believe no one ordered a second round! That’s saying a lot. The only things worth mentioning: our server did a great job, and the décor is beautiful. Overall, go somewhere else.

There once used to be a time when Pico de Gallo was one of my favorite Tex Mex/Mexican restaurants… back in 2012. I should’ve known something was wrong when I was one of a small handful of customers here on a Wednesday evening. The carne guisada isn’t as great as it used to be. The rice isn’t all that good. The tortillas are thin and bland. The pollo al carbon is still good though. But there are more options in S.A.

Food was fine. I had the Mexican special plate and there was plenty of food. Super busy atmosphere but the wait was not too bad. The bathrooms are about 1⁄10 of the size they should be for a restaurant that holds this many customers. Nothing really stood out as special. They did have live music going which was cool but a bit loud for dining atmosphere.

Were you ever were jealous you couldn’t be in the original Footloose movie with Kevin Bacon? The end scene with all the dancing, beautiful things hanging down and then of course the glitter? Well, there’s no falling glitter here but I love the atmosphere of this place. The upstairs is for large gatherings and really the entire inside of the restaurant is so beautiful. I’m no Kevin Bacon but I know where to get Bacon and egg morning tacos(see what I did there?). I’ve been here dozens of times and haven’t yet been disappointed with what I’ve ordered. They have breakfast specials at affordable prices. Selections range from kind of hungry to stuff me like a turkey. Yes, it’s a great place to bring out of town people but locals like me stop in too. This place is a feast for the eyes. Don’t worry about parking. They have their own parking lot with plenty of space. It’s a visit worth making.

I recently came back to this restaurant with family visiting out of town and this is the worst restaurant when coming to visit downtown San Antonio. I wasn’t too thrilled about going but I gave it another try. When we got there we were seated quickly. After that it went all downhill from there. It took us 10 minutes to be seen by our waitress. It took even another 10 to get chips and our drinks. Then we got our food another 15 – 25 minutes later. The food was pretty good. I decided to order a pepper steak and it was pretty good. The avocado was so rich and good. When it came to picking up the bill it took 15 minutes to get it from the waitress. The service is just not that great. The food is. It wasn’t that crowded for a Sunday night but still took long to get good service. Won’t be coming back here no more.

Really neat atmosphere! Food is tex mex, not so authentic but still good. I waited 20 min for water and chips n salsa. I had tacos, my friend had the taco salad… I wished I would have gotten the salad… it looked amazing!

Second time in, food is alright. Definitely not Don Pedro’s flavor. Chicken in my enchiladas was bland and sides not super interesting. Service was super friendly and awesome though! This seems like more of a tourist spot, with a downtown flair, and always pretty busy. They sell pastries up front and have a special of the day ready made of you want something quick! 5 stars= Driving across town just for this! 4 stars= I would recommend visiting. 3 stars= Average, acceptable, positive. 2 stars= You might be able to drag me in. 1 star= I will definitely not be returning.
