It’s Sunday at 3 o’clock wanted to have a few beers and a hamburger the place is closed went to the Bend for beers

12÷20÷15 — Jules the bartender was great! The bacon cheeseburger was tasty & fresh but took almost an hour.
However the wait isn’t the reason for the 2 stars.
1) It rated 2 stars because the place was LOUD! Very very loud! Three drunk guys at one end of the bar were screaming/​talking about sports while 2 male employees on the other end of the bar were talking loudly about sports. I get it that it’s a sports bar, but I was jumping every time they said anything.
2) It rated 2 stars because Jules was the ONLY person working, although she wasn’t the only employee there. One guy who stood around was obviously only the sushi guy. He had 2 orders during the 90 minutes we were there. Not his fault that he’s not busy. I don’t go to a bar & grill for sushi. Another guy appeared to be the cook/​manager or owner. He stood or sat around most of the time except when cooking 3 orders. Not once did he bus tables or bar, do dishes, wash glasses, etc. Jules was busy the entire time. Could he not bus tables or wash the glasses that were stacking up at the end of the bar?
3) They were out of almost everything (lettuce, tomato, the Bendover burger, hamburger meat, etc). How do you have other burgers but you’re out of the Bend Over burger unless it is made ahead? Why couldn’t someone go to the grocery store to get menu ingredients?
4) The Queso & chips arrived but were gross! The chips tasted like they refried them to make them fresh but burnt them. The Queso tasted like cheap bean dip with canned nacho cheese. (See my photo.) Horrible! We gave it back and asked Jules to take it off our ticket. She did and seemed completely unsurprised … Must happen often if she’s unfazed. That plate sat at the end of the bar for the entire remainder of our time there.
5) Another couple arrived after us, ordered after us, but got their entrée and sushi at the same time we got the Queso. It’s obvious the queso wasn’t made fresh so why did it take almost 40 minutes to get it?
Our burger came later but was accidentally given to another patron. Jules apologized a few minutes later when she realized what she did. She gets points for owning to her mistake and putting a rush on it. Next we see a guy who may be cook/​owner/​manager come whisper to Jules that he only has enough left for our burger and then they would be out of burgers. Really? The place is fairly busy, at least 25 people drinking and watching sports on tv, but now this Bar & GRILL is out of the main part of their menu!
Here’s a tip … If you run out of everything necessary to make your burgers … Take money from till and go to the grocery store to get more! Bring back receipt and change to make the register balance that night, but never run out of food without doing whatever necessary to fix it. You are serving alcohol … You need to make sure you have food to offset it. Otherwise, you open your establishment to excessive risk.
The menus looked worn & wrinkled with several items marked out with black sharpie. Wife & I agreed that it is obvious that the place is struggling, which is unfortunate. Jules is an excellent worker, and that burger was tasty! It was actually undercooked but I like medium rare, so it was fine. However, I didn’t order it that way so the cook may have not realized he served an undercooked burger. Many other customers would have sent it back.
Overall, enough options that we probably won’t give this place another try. But we made sure Jules got 100% of her great tip.

Worst bar ever! The girl bartender is so slow. It was taking 30 min or more to get beers.

Great environment. Live music, inexpensive beer, good food, and bar/​wait staff are super friendly. Support local!

Awesome service, great selection of beers on tap and the food was perfect! Deviled eggs are a must if you go! We will definitely be back here for some music on the weekend :)

Worst bar.
Came here three times and every time has a bad experience. The drinks just taste weird and the bartenders are horrible.

The place has a great atmosphere, distribution and decoration.
I have been there about three times on weekends and the promotions on beer are really good, the reason that I gave only 3 stars is because they need more variety on appetizers they have a overpriced menu with small portions I think they need simple things like chips and queso, fries, chipa and salsa etc.
The service was really really slow and inefficient (sorry about that) and another thing that I saw is the presentation of the staff, they need at least comb their hair, everything in a place is the image.

We have gone here twice now. The first time was a perfect experience. The sushi bar was really great. We tried the «Super Crunch» with tempura shrimp. It was really fresh and delicious! They gave us a seaweed salad with smoked squid, cucumbers and sesame seed. I’m not a fan of seaweed but am game to try new things. The smoked squid was really good and the sesame seed oit brought the flavors together nicely. The bar did not have my two first choices of alcohol: Seagram’s Seven or Crown Apple. We were there for a benefit and the band absolutely blew us away! Cara & The Dam Band as energy and sound that never stops! Yesterday, we went for the second time and again for a benefit. The sushi bar wasn’t open until we were getting ready to leave but we had eaten a big breakfast anyway. They did have Seagram’s Seven so, big points scored there! No band at this benefit. Our friends ordered the hamburgers but a little mishap and their burgers were given away to someone else. The gave them one that wasn’t correct but my friend ate it because he had already waited a long time to eat. His wife still had to wait for hers to be remade because she didn’t want the one they offered her since it had jalapenos. When they did finally get the burgers, they both said they were very good. The large steak fries that accompanied the burgers received high marks too. Management gave my friends a discount on our next round of drinks and a stiffer drink on my 7&7 which I made into two drinks. They also apologized personally and profusely. Hey, mistakes happen and making it right is all you can do. This bar & grill has been open about 4 months. It is large, clean and personable. We live within one mile and will be back very soon!!!

Boyfriend and I decided to try this out after seeing it featured on SAcurrent’s Instagram and it did not disappoint. Friendly staff, lots of TVs to watch the game and a smallish but good draft beer selection. There was a big patio with a bar that would have been great to sit out on had the weather been good. I had the oyster poboy and it was FAB. Fried to perfection, with tasty remoulade and slaw with Crab in it. YUM. Fries were hot and fresh. My BF had the cheeseburger which he said was good but nothing to write home about. There was also a sushi bar– I’ve never seen anything like that before at a sports bar but will definitely have to go back and try some as the rolls I saw going out looked delish. BF and I will for sure be back.

Great food and service, pulling in I hought it was a biker bar but is more like a sports bar with live music. The band here tonight is actually not bad, playing really good music! It also has a sushi bar in it

Pretty stupid on how it shuts down at 1am, great for groups but allot of Bros are here. A lot of fist pumping and shunning if you want to light up a cig.

I was looking forward to getting some food there, but unfortunately this establishment backed out on deal with a local promoter over the issue of black people attending his establishment over said event. Now, I won’t ever attend. Not a fan of racism.

I guess my expectations were a little high on my first visit here. This place is very, very casual. A lot of the menu items offered, should not be there. Ceviche? Sushi? Seafood tower??? Stick to ordering their burgers, wings or appetizers. Except the ceviche! I was dumb enough to order the ceviche here. The appetizer itself is tiny and it costs $ 13! It’s basically salsa with tiny scattered pieces of shrimp. It tasted terrible! All I could taste was lime juice. They currently do not have a drink menu because it’s still being worked on. They have beer and can make you mixed drinks. That’s all I got from our waitress. Oh! And they don’t have wine! What bar, that claims to have a «full bar» doesn’t serve wine!!!
The good things about this place is that it is pretty clean, and the patio areas are really nice. There’s a live band that plays on the back patio around 8pm. The front patio is set up like a sports bar with a few TV’s. The service is okay. The waitresses and hostesses are nice, but once is gets really crowded, the service gets worse.
The atmosphere is very chill, with an older crowd (40’s to 50’s). For what it is, it’s okay. We will not be returning here. I would much rather go to a food truck park than here. At Ieast I would be getting much better food, drinks, and atmosphere!

I have been excited since I arrived to San Antonio, Texas to try Over Bar & Grill. The food pictures look amazing and delicious plus it is near my living quarters. I suggested to my friends we should go for lunch. The bartender was also working as a waiter (red flag). He possessed excellent customer service skills but you could tell he was in over his head. Needless to say we waited 30 minutes to get our food and our orders were incorrect. My side item wasn’t available but I didn’t find out until they brought my entrée. I blame management for the horrible service because it is important to prepare your staff for success.
Food: The food was amazing! I highly recommend the buffalo wings, burgers, onion rings, and fries!

You wanna come here to hang out, drink a few cold ones, listen to music (band), watch the game, etc… The atmosphere for doing that is great!
You do not wanna come here to enjoy a good and satisfying meal. Now I’m not saying that the food was that bad, but rather that there are better reasons to enjoy this place apart from the sub par food. That said, I shouldn’t speak for everything on the menu so I won’t. I’m only referring to the burgers, fries, chicken strips, and mac & cheese. I had a cheese burger with bacon that was decent. Nothing special, just an ordinary cheese burger with bacon. The fries were steak fries probably fresh out of the frozen bag. The mac & cheese was KRAFT. The chicken strips were odd because they weren’t your typical strips that you would get at a Bill Millers or KFC or Canes, Popeyes, Churches etc… but rather a skinny piece of chicken with a light crust. Almost comparable to those chicken fries they sell at Burger King! If that’s how you like your chicken strips then you’ll be happy.
So anyhow… I’ve been wanting to try Over B&G because it looked packed a few times I drove by, but I’m guessing that was because there was a band or some kind of event going on. Also you might want to go later in the evening when the temperature outside isn’t so brutal. Another reason I stopped by was to get out of the heat but that was around 4:00pm during the hottest part of the day and it isn’t exactly the coolest place around.

Tonight was our 2^nd time. First time was decent– had cheese planks (cheese sticks) and fried pickles to start. Cheese planks were good, fried pickles soggy. Wouldn’t order those again. Filet mignon was awesome. The place is SUPER hot inside almost like the ACS not working but they have a lot of windows.
2^nd time– not so great. Ordered the cheese planks which were good. Ordered the medallions, kids burger and regular bacon cheeseburger. FYI– they don’t have kids menus printed yet, but you can ask for normal stuff like chicken tenders and burgers. Drinks are not included in kids meals.
Meals in themselves are pricey. Bacon cheeseburger was $ 12 and overcooked. Filet medallions were $ 12 and good, came with a salad and 2 sides. The sides I asked for– green beans and creamed corn, the waitress came back 10 minutes after I ordered and told me they were out and gave me the menu to choose 2 other sides. I went with onion rings and baked potato. Onion rings were good, baked potato– normal.
We get the bill, she rang up the medallions at $ 13.50 (not a big deal right, just a $ 1.50 more than what the menu said) but when I asked about it, she said its because I got a loaded baked potato. My response to her — the menu doesn’t mention this is extra so you may want to let people know this when ordering. She just says there was nothing she can do about it.
Same thing on our 2^nd night, place feels like its 95 degrees in there and we are sweating while eating.
Will we come back? Probably not…

Went last weekend.
This bar and grill has an outdoor patio and bar as well as indoor seating. There is more than enough seating available to find the perfect spot. There are also plenty of televisions to get the perfect view of whatever event they may be showing at any given time.
Staff was friendly and knowable about their products although bartenders seemed to be fumbling with mix drinks.
The beer selection isn’t very wide. It included Guinness, Dos XXs, Sam Adams, PB, Busted Sandal and BudLight.
I ordered the fried zucchini. It was crispy, flavorful and not too greasy. The jalapeño ranch dip was very tasty but watery and didn’t stick to the zucchini. Overall the item was okay but portion was small for $ 7.
I also orders the special sushi of the day. That was very flavorful and a great portion size for $ 11. The sushi dishes are made fresh and on the spot by the sushi chef. The sushi area appeared clean and well kept.
Overall, the experience was okay. I can’t say I was so impressed I’d return but if I were in the area I may stop by again.

Great experience on both visits in the past 3 days. Clean premises. Great service. They’re going to have live bands in their outside patio.
Have had the wings, the Hawg Wings, oysters, salads, the Ribeye and the NY Strip. Everything has been beyond awesome!!!
This place is going to be dangerous for us… Great food too close to home…

Quick look. The beer was cold, the Bend Over Burger was unique and tasty. The owners seemed to spend some money to build a nice place.
There are plenty of seating both inside and out. Voices echo quite a bit in the bar area but when everyone is having a good time that’s cool.
Expect to spend $ 10 and up for entrees, burgers included. But, and this is important if the Bend Over is an example they are elevating above bar food.
It’s a very nice addition to the neighborhood.

This place has an amazing atmosphere. Two full bar areas (one inside and one outside). Another large area in the back for bands to play (on the weekends) and tons of sitting room both indoors and out. Perfect for either the Guys night out or the Ladies night out or just have a group of friends that what an awesome place to hang out and have some great food and drinks and great music.
The food is fantastic and they have a great menu (the hot wings are the best I have had). Great Happy Hour from 3pm — 6pm everyday.
