Great food. Not sure what the lunch special was which was noted outside the restaurant. I checked the menu and saw no lunch specials. Neighborhood not the best, but inside appearance, music and staff were excellent.

I’ve been here for lunch and dinner. Their food is delicious and service is excellent. They get VERY busy at lunch so keep that in mind(though their lines move pretty fast). In the evening they take reservations and I recommend makinga reservation to avoid a wait. The food is worth it! Located conveniently close to Lackland AFB.

Great food and atmosphere. Had the Hercules platter, gyro plate and lamb. Our food arrived in a timely manner. Pretty good considering the crowd. All were prepared perfectly and tasted delicious. The salad was awesome. Greek olives and feta cheese. As it was the weekend there was entertainment. Belly dancing! The staff is amazing. This is truly an experience that shouldn’t be missed. Highly Recommended.

Very quaint and cozy… A true gem. The service was stellar and the food superb… Major kudos to Richard who extended a genuine welcome and steered me right to a wine that I enjoyed so much I drank the whole bottle The chef put together a lovely dish and my experience here was more than enjoyable. This spot is family friendly, but my recommendation is leave the kids with grandma and have a date night with your partner. Truly a fantastic little place.

Have been eating here forever. Always good. If I have one critique they could stand to add a little acid to their greek salad dressing.

I am very excited to say that this is one of the best meals I have had in San Antonio so far. I haven’t been too impressed with a lot of the food in this city, but this greek restaurant definitely delivered. Let me start by saying, please don’t judge this place on first looks. The shopping center it is located in may look sketchy and have some questionable businesses and terrible park jobs but most of the best food I have eaten in my life have come from the shadiest looking establishments. Once inside, the doubts will escape your mind as the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. They were interacting and carrying on with every customer that came in. They answered questions and made recommendations and just seemed to be having a great time making great food. When it comes to the food, I got the gyro platter($ 13.50) with gyro meat and french fries. The plate was overflowing with meat and pita and greek salad and fries. Good thing the food was extremely delicious because the portions were so big. The mix of flavors and textures and temperatures made for a great meal. My partner got the vegetarian sandwich($ 5.50) and the spanakopita($ 4.50). Both were very flavorful and jam packed with ingredients. This place sure doesn’t skimp on the amount of food they give you. They also have a great dessert case with a number of beers and wines available as well. Diners definitely will not leave hungry or thirsty when eating at this restaurant. Overall, Mina & Dimi’s can now be classified as one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. I was thoroughly impressed with their food and their service. Their no frills atmosphere and flavorful Mediterranean food makes for a great lunch or dinner. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for an escape from average tacos or overprices Riverwalk food.

I can’t believe I haven’t reviewed them on here before today! My hubby, kids and I have been here countless times and everything is always perfect. From the food, drinks and service this hole in the wall is amazing! This is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio! My husbands favorite is the lamb gyro meal. My favorite is the chicken gyro without the honey mustard sauce but add tzatziki. The gyro, fries and salad pair well with the Sweet Bitch wine. And as for desserts they are all amazing! My hubby and I always split something,(whether it’s at the restaurant or taking it home for later).

My go to place for Greek food. It can be packed and a little frustrating during the lunch rush, but it is well worth a visit. Even their fries are a cut above what you would get at any other eatery. The gyros are fat, the zatziki is fresh, and the staff is always friendly.

Tips 1) First timers — the gyro is excellent, and order it with feta fries. 2) There is a great buffet on Fridays, but show up early because it gets pretty busy, and space is limited. Review Best gyro in SA, and a contender for my favorite gyro spot ever. You absolutely have to order the feta fries, served with tzatziki and feta crumbles. Definitely health food ;) Because the gyro and I are in a monogamous relationship, I’ve yet to try anything else on the menu, but guessing you can’t go wrong here. One note on desserts — the red velvet cake was a little dryer than I’m used to, but decent enough to not impact the star rating. Can’t wait to try the others

The restaurant is in a sketchy part of town but the food is great and the service is just as good. I highly recommend.

I have never in my life had a greek salad and falafel like what I had here. It’s been 2 months and I am still thinking about it… the best I have ever had. This place stays packed. The seating is tight, but it’s worth it.

Oh man oh man! What a find! This restaurant is located in a non-descript, slightly older… Ok, ok, I’ll cut the crap. Bottom line is, you will never know that the food is good here until you taste it and pretend to ignore the off-putting, worn down facilities surrounding this little gem. Trust me when I say… just walk in,(don’t forget to hit the lock button on your car), order some deliciously decadent food, maybe one of their yummy desserts, and then drive as fast as you can out of there. Resist the urge to devour the food for 10 – 15 mins, and drive to the safety of your own home or less-sketchy parking lot. If you so choose to eat at the restaurant, I commend you. Just cover up the valuables in your car and eat quickly. It’s worth it!

Great Greek food near Lackland. A favorite among locals as seen by their lunch crowd. Still very prompt service. I’ve always ordered my food to go and it’s always fresh and hot when I pick up. Dine here to curb your gyro and baklava craving.

This is a place that when you walk in is not the greatest, but their gyros are amazing and you know what makes it amazing? The tzatziki sauce and plenty of gyro meat in your sandwich. The location is not the greatest, but it is okay during the day.

OPA!!! I will be going again and again and again. I have been to Greece, I would compare their food to the food I have eaten in Greece. It is very authentic. We had the Fat Gyros. We took two to go for my kids, who loved them. It does get very busy at lunch time, which I can understand, everyone wants to eat here. So be prepared to wait or go when the rush is over. I do wish they would play more Greek music. Staff is very friendly. You order and pay, then find your own seat. They bring the food to your table. They also have a punch card system. 6th meal is free.

Fast and friendly service. Over two visits the food was consistently good. The calamari was hot and fresh. The Greek salad was seasoned well and crisp. The gyro was soft and savory. Finally, the Hercules platter was more than enough for two that want to try the gamut of the restaurant’s offerings. If they would update the décor and have a bigger wine selection, this place would be a home run!

What a treat this restaurant was! On a trip to SA, we found it out of the way. Not really knowing what to expect but drawn in by the menu, we made the 20 minute drive from the hotel. So glad we did! It was fantastic. A cute little place in the back of a strip mall, decorated with all kinds of great stuff. The waiter was really great, the food was delicious. We were happy happy! I got the Pastitsio. My fiancé got the combination kabob. We both got salad and pita. And for an app we got the flaming cheese. So glad we came here!

What a good place! It’s a little off the beaten path, but it’s worth a visit for some tasty Greek food. We started with the flaming cheese saganaki. It was presented table side and then set ablaze on a sizzling platter. Served with warm pita bread, the gooey cheese was delicious. For entrees, I had a trio of shishkabobs– chicken, pork, and beef. This was served with Greek salad, tatziki, and I subbed hummus for potatoes. All three meats were nicely seasoned and still very moist. My fiancé had the pastitsio, which she really enjoyed as well. The service was friendly and attentive, despite arriving 20 minutes before closing. We didn’t feel unwelcome or rushed in any way.

My mom and I came here for lunch today and it was delicious! We shared the Hercules platter($ 29.99 for two) which comes with beef, chicken and gyro on a sizzling plate with grilled onions and tomatoes. You also get two Greek salads, oven potato, pita bread, tzatziki and honey mustard. My mom also tried the lamb chops and she said they were very good and well worth the $ 18.99. The food came out quickly and everything had great flavor. We also tried the baklava cheesecake. Honestly it was just okay, I wouldn’t order it again. The baklava topping was kind of stale and chewy tasting. We ended up just eating the cheesecake on the bottom and the inside of the baklava. The restaurant is a little small and it’s kind of dark in there(during lunch they didn’t have any lights on inside, just the natural light from the windows) but the food was definitely the star of our lunch experience. We’ll definitely be back.
