Great food. Beef shawarma is fantastic and the falafel is cooked perfectly. They even threw in baklava! They have very attentive customer service as well. I recommend!

Having grown up in Detroit, I was spoiled by the wonderful cuisine in the largest Middle Eastern population in the US. My standards are high when it comes to Middle Eastern food and I haven’t found anything to compare to the food I experienced back home. That is, until now. My BF took me here for Valentines Day and I’ve fallen in love. The hummus: yes, its lemony which I happen to like. I have NEVER had hummus this good in my life. The fried cauliflower appetizer was great, and I don’t even like cauliflower all that much! This is not a fancy, 5 star place where you have to wear a suit and tie. Prices are extremely reasonable and you’ll have more than enough leftovers to take home, even after gorging on the hummus. I’ll definitely be back again soon!

Hubby wanted to try this restaurant based on the(high) recommendation of friends. It’s certainly well reviewed and they seem to have regular clientele. Hubby really enjoyed the food tremendously. I am vegetarian and it’s easy to find something vegetarian here. The service is very good and they make the BEST falafel. Next time I want to try the mint tea and fried cauliflower. Can’t believe I missed those the first time around.

Staff was not very helpful to a first time in the door patron. When you walk in it looks like it’s cafeteria style or buffet. Never really figured it out. Waiter screwed up order. And who puts black olives on a Greek salad. Food was only adequate. There are better same sort of restaurants in the area.

We love Jerusalem Grill. The food is delicious and fresh every time. We always order the mixed grill for two. It’s plenty of food for 2 adults and 2 children. The baba ganoush is yummy. The fried cauliflower is so good — children will like it. Great service, the staff is always friendly.

This restaurant has consistently good service, and affordable prices. Atmosphere is not top notch(Fluorescent lights), but for the price the food is OUTSTANDING. This place is very clean and I almost always leave happy.

I came here six months ago, so the experience is not fresh in my mind. What I do remember is that the food was bad, the service was bad, the environment was bad, and I would never return to this establishment under any circumstance. It’s unfortunate because I love Middle Eastern food and thought this may be a hidden gem!

Loved this place! The food was great and priced very reasonably. This is true Middle Eastern/Greek food of San Antonio. Every bite was delicious. I ordered the lamb gyro plate. Best I’ve ever had will be going again soon.

Love going to Jerusalem Grill. Always great service and great food. If you’re looking for quality Mediterranean food, then this is your place. A lot of food for the price and we usually bring home one or two boxes of leftovers.

Jerusalem Grill is a hidden gem. The restaurant is tucked in the corner of a strip mall and is not easily seen unless you walk towards the restaurant and down a flight of steps. The food is colorful and the meats is savory. We had the Grilll for Two(three kabobs and five appetizers). The lamb kabob and grilled onions is my favorite. Today was a little frustrating because our food arrived quickly but we had to wave another waiter to assist with our missing dinner plates and a full serving of rice. Our waiter was MIA for the rest of our dinner experience. I must say that the food was their saving grace, others before us had to wait, and the restaurant was a full house. A baklava, turkish coffee and another cup of water would have been a nice way to end the evening but what can you do? It was so busy. Other than this mishap, I will be returning for another great meal. Restaurant owners, perhaps bellly dancers on the weekends would be an added bonus? This would enhance our experience of your culture.

Came here for dinner I asked the waiter to add hummus inside my wrap he said that he can not do that even if I pay extra because it will confuse the kitchen? ? The hummus was full of lemon and did not taste good The wrap pita was extremely dry and tasted very old My wife orderd gyro plate and she said it was not bad we also got lamb shank and the shank was tiny about the size of a chicken shank Buttom line they will not get our business again

There is no other way to put this, this food is amazing and worth the trip to San Antonio alone. The staff is amazingly friendly and prompt. Prices are great, especially for the lamb. This is the best Middle Eastern food I’ve had in Texas hands down. I suggest the lamb and cauliflower appetizer. Second to none! Time: Sunday 5pm. People: 4 Meal: Two for four. 8 appetizers, 3 lamb kabobs, 1 chicken kabob, 1 beef kabob. Added 2 more lamb kabobs and three baklava deserts. 1 Tea, 1 Dr. Pepper, 2 waters. $ 63

Great place to stop in for a quick takeout lunch. $ 5.95 for a gyro(or shawarma, or kebab sandwich) and fries + a can of soda came out to $ 7.50ish after tax. The pita is always fresh pressed, the gyro meat is heated right before its put on the sandwich, and they give you a side of tzatiki so you can administer it yourself to cut down on the messiness. The fries are thick cut steak fries and normally piping hot at lunch time. I walked in, placed my order and was walking out under 5 minutes and they actually apologized for the wait. Staff is super friendly as you are warmly greeted and bid farewell when you leave. I did wish the gyro came with more than 2 half slices of tomato and a few strands of onion though. That was the only minor problem. I also once came here and asked for the gyro platter mistakenly, thinking gyro + fries = platter but it actually is just the gyro meat, grilled pita on the side, greek salad and an order of fries. It is more expensive($ 8.95), but it is at least enough for 2 meals.

Far from me personally but loved my first time here and have been back several times since. In between hookah and ballroom so if you want to make a dinner and hookah date night this is the place!

One of SA’s stronger options for authentic Mediterranean cuisine, Jerusalem Grill offers a lot in terms of menu offerings, dining atmosphere, waitstaff service, and location convenience. But to agree with me is to allow key things to first be explained. Arrival and seating — Depending on the time of day, you will either be immediately greeted at the door and seated –OR– able to sit anywhere you’d like. If the latter, just shout a warm greeting to the guys at the grill… they’ll send someone over with a menu in no time. Ordering — It’s straightforward; however, prices for SOME of the plates do in fact run high. My go-to continues to be the Vegetable Plate(i.e. huge servings of pita, tabbouleh, houmous, cucumber-tomato salad, Greek olives, feta cheese, falafel, and dolmas). Of course, the Turkish Coffee is one for the books here… finish up with a cup or two, plus some hookah out in the very spacious front courtyard. Payment — Yet again depending on the time of day, you will either pay at your table –OR– at the register near the dessert table. My most recent dine-ins have had me simply packing myself a nice box of baklava and paying for everything right at the front before walking out. Good stuff. Don’t let other reviews, namely the negative ones, deter you from giving this place your business. When a restaurant’s «style» or «setup» differs slightly from the norm, chill out, go with the flow, and enjoy yourself! Personally, I haven’t experienced a single visit in which any of the staff weren’t totally chill and talkable. So eat on, folks! Eat on.

This is my spot. I have been coming here since 2008. Where else can I go get good middle eastern food and afterwords get my Hookah on? The food here is delicious and varies day to day. I usually come here and get a Schawarma with fries inside. Legit. Beef or chicken, it doesn’t matter, it’s good. Service is good. All the workers are great people and treat me like family when I come there. If you haven’t had the chance to check out this spot I highly recommend you do. Afterwords have a seat outside and get your smoke on. Many tobacco flavors and mint tea, if you so desire, to go along with it. This location also allows BYOB with no corkage fee. They only ask that you serve it in plastic cups to stay legal. You won’t be dissappointed with the Jerusalem Grill. As good as it gets!
