Methodist Ambulatory Surgery Center – North Central

Had a LEEP procedure done, everyone from the anesthesia Doctor, admitting, the nurses, everyone on staff was super helpful and nice. I’ve never had such good customer service from a hospital/​clinic.

It’s 6am and we are checking in to the center for our daughter’s surgery, minor as it is — getting tubes in her ears — it is still surgery and she’ll be going under for it.
This is the place I have to trust? I was totally put off by the check in process. You write your name and surgery time on a paper and insert it in a collection box. Then, you press a button to alert the staff you have followed procedure.
There are no less than 7 signs, a written notice and a few lines of labels with instructions. It is as if someone jumped the gun with each sign and then remembered, «Oh, I have much more to convey. Let’s make another sign.» I mean, really, see the photo.
The men’s restroom in the waiting area does not have a changing table, so if you have a child in diapers I suppose don’t bother showing up without someone who is otherwise permitted in the ladies’ room.
The actual experience was much better than check in.
Staff were incredible. From the employee who went over our payment to the pediatric anesthesiologist to the recovery nurses. Everyone was thorough and caring. I suppose that is all to be concerned about, but really, let’s get the check in process and restroom issue upgraded.
