My barber wasn’t very talkative or friendly, must of been a bad day. This place could use a clean up or a re model. I would of guess that being located by base the would hold higher standards, but I guess not. Good thing is they have good prices.

Great barbers. See Daniel. Best cut I’ve had in years. Taper fade, edge up ect. Daniel used a straight razor which is also a plus. Price range is average compared to other places I’ve been to. 10 – 15 bucks before tip. They are also open on Monday. Won’t be going back to my old barber thanks to this gem I found.

There are some very decent barbers here, the problem is(this goes for many of the barber shops in San Antonio) the barbers don’t have good customer service. They don’t have respect for military members either. I’v even seen them even clown some customers to their face. Other than that the place is all right. They get you in and out quick. They are specialist at the military cut. I would recommend this place to a friend as a plan b. I can think of a few better places I’d rather go to, but they take a little longer to cut your hair.

They did a good job on my son, I loved it. Fast and easy. I don’t know too much about boys haircuts, so I didn’t know the name. Showed him a pic and got it right away. Thanks

I checked this place out almost a year ago when I was at LAFB for training because the ‘barbers’ on base can not cut to save a life. The appearance is not much to look at and could use a ‘toucher-upper’ but hey, this is a barber shop, appearance really shouldn’t matter am I right? Traditionally, when matters arise concerning the well-being of my hair, I live by a couple code of ethics of who is allowed to touch and groom my great mane. This is who is not(through historic personal experience): –Females –Asians I scanned the barbers and saw that they were all men but two, which was a good sign so far. All of them were also occupied except for one… a female… and an Asian at that. I was hesitant and when the mid-aged woman motioned me to sit on her chair, I believe she sensed my hesitancy. I looked around the room once more when I caught the eyes of the other female barber. I think she knew what I was thinking so as to reasssure me she mouthed, ‘she’s good,’ gave me a smile and a wink of the eye. As to counter-act those feelings of reassurance, the Asian woman began joking in a serious manner that she just graduated from barber school. I was just thinking, «what the hell!?» I knew she was poking at me and besides, her license sitting on her station proved otherwise. I gave in and she said something along the lines of, «you can wait for someone else if you like.» I declined feeling somewhat abashed and thought what the hell. She worked on my hair seemingly taking detail and by the end of it all I was very impressed. I can honestly say she is one of the top 3 barbers that has faded me(I got a low fade). Instantly, I grew great admiration for this mid-aged Asian woman. She officially had some badass points. I came back a couple weeks later but she unfortunately was not working that day. You really can not always judge a book by its’ cover. Note: I hope I did not offend anyone with my ‘code of ethics.’ It is a generalization I have come up with because I take my hair cuts seriously and I have been to many, many barbers. It may not sound right but I thought I would put it out there to emphasize how great this woman did to refute my prior beliefs.

I have been getting a haircut here off and on for 8 years. Never once have I walked out unhappy. The place is a little run down but if you are looking for a sharp cut, this is the spot.

Located right off of of the Valley High Gate Lackland AFB. They specialize in Military Haircuts, they have been in business for a very long time. Razor Sharp cut for 12 dollars, can’t beat the prize !!

I just got to Lackland and was looking for a good barber shop(one that can actually barber, unlike AAFES clipper jockeys). This place is right outside the Valley High gate, right next to a Tattoo studio. Don’t let the broken«OPEN» sign fool you, they’re open 7 days a week. Great haircut, a low-fade with razor cost only $ 12. It took a little bit longer than I’m used to, but the guy did a great job and for the price I’m still wowed. They have plenty of staff, a line did start to form when I left, but it was moving quickly. The inside isn’t much to look at, but who cares? Great haircut, I’ll be going back the whole time I’m here!
