Perfect for our purposes. Great service and the food was good too. Playscape for the kids, live music and outdoor seating. Chips and salsa were great too.

Yeah, I should have looked to Unilocal BEFORE choosing to take my family here when visiting SA this week. I’ll just say that the food and service did not merit a return visit. It was almost as if the place is run by people not really familiar with the restaurant business. It was obvious they were trying hard to get it right but somehow didn’t know exactly what«right» was. It’s too late and I’m too tired after a 4 hour drive home, but I’ll just say they wanted to leave the contaminated dish with my guest when he pointed out the problem and never did bring a replacement when they did take it back to the kitchen. The food was passable, I enjoyed the puffy tacos, but almost everything else about our 8 meals fell short in some way. they were obviously trying hard but it just didn’t work. Conversation with locals afterwards informed me that my experience was not atypical. I had good memories of dining here several years ago. I guess times have changed.

I haven’t even been in yet and I can tell you that I am highly disappointed with this place. I am meeting a group this evening, and I have diet restrictions. When I am going someplace new-especially with a group– I take the time to call ahead and ask any questions I have about menu items or ingredients. The first time I called, I was put on hold to talk to a manager. After waiting 5 minutes I gave up. When I called back, both people I spoke to didn’t have and OUNCE of customer service of friendliness in their voice. I had to probe the manager with questions about each item and she made me feel like I was a burden. The REASON I call ahead is to avoid being troublesome to my server and taking up valuable time. Other places have been understanding and grateful of this in the past. More later… but at this point I’m not excited about giving this establishment any business. Even though it would be a miniscule bill considering all I can eat here is their white rice and corn tortillas

First time at this place. Very nice décor, loved the outdoor space and the food was awesome! Love the salsa and the green chimichurry sauce! We will go back

I have wanted to eat here since we moved from Austin couple years ago. After reading the other reviews I was nervous but they really did a good job, yes they could use some help up front and for the size of the restaurant I think they did well. Food(fajitas we ordered) are very good and reasonable. Kids liked their food so that is always a plus. The helpers with chips and drinks from wait staff is awesome. That guy never slowed down, waiter however seemed to be overwhelmed a bit but it was a busy time. All in all we will be back.

Took my leadership team for a nice dinner. It was recommended by my boss who had a good experience. I wanted to sit outside since I was told they had live music and thought it would be a nice touch for my team. We were forgotten about and ended seating ourselves. Restaurant hours says it closes at 11 pm on Saturdays but they were rushing us out at 10 pm. Food was good and our server was attentive. Food a little over priced but it was a nice environment.

This is one of our favorite Mexican restaurants in the city. Not only do they have a great outdoor patio area that is nice for the adults on weekends, they also have a newly renovated play gym for the kiddos. Our boys(ages 5 and 6) love this place and do a good job of eating their food here. In terms of food, the salsa and chips are delish and always fresh. My favorite dishes are the Ensalata Don Harris And the Shrimp Stuffed Chile Relleno. Everything is delicious, fresh, and consistently awesome. Try to visit on the weekends, but note the wait time may be long on beautiful days or evenings. They usually have someone play acoustic guitar on the patio, which is a nice place to enjoy a Sunday brunch or a summer evening out.

My girlfriend and I eat here almost every week, we love the chicken enchilada verdes with the creamy poblano sauce. However last night sitting on the patio we encountered horrible service. First when we were seated we weren’t given utensils or napkin. They did bring chips salsa water and drinks promptly. It took about 15 minutes for the waiter to take our order. We waited between 30 to 45 minutes before our dinner was brought. We finally went to the bartender outside and asked and we were told a party of 45 was occupying the majority of their time. Right before the dinner arrived after we asked again for silverware and napkins they brought that. This was the worst service that we ever experienced. While we’re on the subject of service a couple of items that are troublesome. The hostesses walking away from the guests as they are seating them to the point of exiting the door to the deck and walking off not to be found. Employees dragging trash cans and large containers of dirty dishes and trash through the tables on the deck. I know you have to bus tables but there has to be a more professional way. We love the music and the deck and the food just thought we would mention a few things they could certainly improve on.

While here in Texas I had to try puffy tacos. I thought they were tasty but the ground beef was plain. I ordered the meal and I should have just ordered two puffy tacos because it was filling. I’m a salsa snob and I enjoyed their chips and salsa probably better than the meal. A friend that was with us orders the enchilada assorted meal and while eating his meal he pulled something hard out of his mouth and it was a piece of either plastic or glass. The waiter who handed the situation perfectly got the manager and they comped his meal. He was worried about ordering another meal so he just picked at everyones dinner. Accidents happen but they must be more careful because someone is going to get hurt. They had a live band that was playing and I enjoyed it. The speakers weren’t turned up too loud and we did not sit right next to them which probably helped out. There is a play ground on the property which is brilliant for families with kiddos at dinner.

Was in town because I’m going to be moving down here and this place was recommended by my realtor. He told me the downtown location was better but we were up north so decided on that location. It has a really cool atmosphere and outdoor seating. We went during a very slow time so we got our food quickly. The mango margaritas were yummmyyyy! Had the chicken enchiladas and they weren’t bad. May try the downtown location once I move down.

This place gets two stars for the amazing efficiency and friendliness of service for our party of 20. The food, however, while not horrible, is not Mexican in the authentic way that I would expect in San Antonio. All the margaritas were way too sweet, even the one that was only tequila, agave nectar and lime juice. The food is very suburban, white-bread, Olive Garden of Mexican food. Head to the Riverwalk for an authentic experience. But the service here is top notch. Very well done in that respect.

AWESOMEPATIO, okay food & drinks. The have live music(I think nightly) and seriously– go just for the patio! We got some margaritas that were pretty basic. $ 7.25 each which seemed a bit over priced for what they were. Shared the fajitas, lots of food and also highly priced($ 25 for two people) which yes I know only works out to $ 12.50 each but just didn’t seem worth it. Wait staff was great, seems like a lot of people come here. They have a playground next to the patio which is really cool for the kids. We will give it another shot eventually but probably won’t rush back too soon.

I was determined to eat some delicious puffy tacos on our trip to SA, but unfortunately I’ve had better in Houston. We came on a quiet afternoon and thought we’d enjoy the breeze on the patio – ugh, as soon as our food arrived, we couldn’t stop swatting away flies… so ridiculous! The chips were unique and delicious – the salsa and chimichurri sauce were great too. The puffy tacos were a hot mess! They were decent, but given the hype around Bobby Flay, I was expecting more.
