Yummy, little slice of home. Enjoyed the breakfast special(migas plate – included cheese at no extra charge) and my coffee was refilled promptly, multiple times. Modest dining area, reasonable prices, larger than average portions.

Food is great! Always fresh. Have awesome breakfast tacos. They have never messed up any of my orders. My wife doesn’t like the meat in the menudo so they do there best to remove as much as they can. Been to many restaurants and all Denied our request. But here they do there best to remove the meat. I highly recommend this restaurant. Hope you enjoy it as much as I did. Oh you can also call in orders to go. That’s what I do mostly :)

The food was good. The tortillas homemade and the prices excellent. The neighborhood is a little sketchy, but the owner was friendly and the establishment was clean. It is an excellent example of a great hole in the wall mom & pop establishment.

What a find! If you are following the mission trail, take time to catch lunch at this diamond in the rough. The prices are extremely low and the taste, quality, and service are extraordinary. Do not avoid the restaurant by outside appearances. Everything is real authentic Mexican food.

Don’t let the slightly sketchy exterior fool you: the breakfast tacos here are out-of-this world. Not only that, but the service is quick and friendly, and you can easily feed two people for less than $ 15(including tip). Couldn’t recommend it more!

This place has been around for years I bypassed it multiple times not really known what it was or what it had but viewing Unilocal reviews I decided to stop by. My neighbor also had visited this place some time ago. It had closed for sometime due to the construction on mission and Steve Rd The dining room is very small and the owner is the the waiter. I’ve walked in like 30 minutes before closing they’ve always been real nice and accommodating I usually get the lunch special. I’ve gotten the cheese enchiladas and the puffy tacos. The rice and beans are really really good hot and fresh. The tortillas are thick and warm and they will usually have the days remaining flour tortillas from the day. One dozen for $ 1.50 I’ve gotten a couple times. The dining room is very small. That’s the only downfall. You might have to wait for a table outside

I’ve been coming to this restaurant regularly(weekly) since the first month of its opening. Why do I keep coming back? It’s not just one reason but many reasons. The food tastes great, good prices, the service is friendly and they remember my name(how many places do you know that can do that and remember what your«regular» order is). Yes, they should probably pay me for this glowing review. LOL! I have friends that travel across the city to have breakfast at this restaurant on the weekends. This restaurant has many regular customers. Trust me I know as I see them when I stop in for a bite to eat. Why only now write a review after all these years? Because I do use Unilocal to evaluate places I haven’t tried. If I do that then I should also participate as well. I bicycle all over the city on weekends and set my route to ensure this place is the one I stop at to have my breakfast. Yeah, it’s that good to me.

What a find! What a deal! Might be kind of easy to drive right by, but that would be a mistake. Friendly staff, quick service, and most importantly delicious food. The barbacoa is excellent. My dad loved his menudo. And the tortillas, both corn and flour were perfect. Highly recommend stopping in on the way to an afternoon of visiting the San Antonio missions.

Ask for fresh, hand made corn tortillas and you may just find yourself eating the best of your life. Their ranchero beans are also among the best in the city. Their tortilla soup is without question my favorite in S.A. I also the enchiladas verdes.

We had driven down from Austin to spend some time checking out SA and the Alamo and were starving when we just happened to pull into this place around 2pm. We ordered cabrita, cheese enchiladas, chicken flautas, and fish tacos. Everything was truly delicious, even the rice which is usually not something I eat. The homemade tortillas and charro beans were fantastic and the cheese enchiladas were some of the best any of us have ever had. The fish tacos were great and the cabrita was nicely marinated and spicy. This is some very inexpensive, but very good food, and the folks that run the place couldn’t be nicer.
