IHOP

This was the strangest experience I’ve ever had at an ihop. There weren’t many people there at all. Our server was very sullen. Not outright rude but you could tell she had absolutely no interest in being there and resented us for our intrusion. The food was barely passable and kind of dry. Everything was supposed to come with specific condiments and we got none. We tried asking for some (ketchup, hot sauce, honey mustard, etc) but couldn’t get our servers attention since she’d very deliberately look away and pretend not to see us. The iced coffee was the most sickeningly sweet bit of chocolate milk weirdness that I’ve ever had the displeasure of tasting. The cashier at the end had a smaller version of the, «ugh why are you bothering me?» attitude. All in all a pretty bad experience and I won’t be coming back.

Usually, when we go it’s «okay service»
The food is typically mediocre with small portions.
My husband when in today for breakfast date. What turned into a good morning… It turned into a long wait. We waited at our table for 15 minutes without and my drinks. The waiter helped other people at tables around us. But I’m not sure why but there was no service.
Then when we spoke to a manager the waiter was quick to throw her other co-​worker under the bus saying that was his section. But she happened to be helping and serving drinks in our section.

Ihop… tonight you have seriously failed. Supposedly there are all new cooks says the manager. Well, I have management expertise… you should let them alllllll go and get a new team. First, my husband’s double BLT came out along with my son’s chicken and waffles. Then my pumpkin spice waffle comes out without the rest of my meal. Then 10 mins after that my older son’s food came out. Then 5 mins later the rest of my food. I asked for eggs scrambled hard and they are swimming on the plate. I ask her to send them back and the waitress asks if I want to keep the bacon and hashbrowns. Nooooo… I dont I want to eat my eggs with my bacon and hashbrowns. I DONT want to eat the eggs after my whole meal is done. Waiting… Waiting…waiting…still havent gotten my food… oh wait here it comes! 10 mins later.

Breakfast was good. The wheat pancakes, eggs whites, and turkey bacon is good. The staff is friendly and the service was okay. Nothing bad, but nothing spectacular to where you would feel like you have to come back again.

IHOP is fine for a late night breakfast to get your eggs and pancakes. Service is average to a little subpar. I always ask for extra crispy bacon and a eggs medium well. and they can never get it right So pancakes and French toast are the choices. The other dinner menus are average not too exciting to comment or order. Place is usually empty … Says something huh?

Breakfast here has always been great but went here for dinner last night and it was horrible wasn’t that busy I guess because of the weather all the servers sat in the corner just talking and playing on their phone if you needed something they’d yell across the room what do you need like we were disturbing them todo their job where they sat us you could see into the kitchen everything was heated in the microwave it was just really gross food and the worst service

I came to this location because it was the closest to me and I thought I would get my last IHOP breakfast before I move to Europe! Wrong! Walked in and it was a bit over crowded. I asked how long of a wait it would be and I was greeted with absolute rudeness! The attitude was disgusting enough to force me to leave and hit up Denny’s down the road! Epic fail IHOP…

There are few times I give a review with only one star on an experience, however this IHOP deserves that.
I went in with some coworkers after work tonight as we were starving and it was 1am.
I ordered a French toast combo (French toast scrambled eggs hash browns and sausage) my co worker ordered crepes and a scrambled egg on the side and my boyfriend ordered the Colorado omelette with a Belgian waffle and side of tortillas.
The waiter shortly later delivered a Colorado omelette and crepes. Then came back out a fee minutes later with my eggs hash browns and sausage … Told us the eggs for my coworker weren’t ready yet and neither were the waffle or the tortillas or my French toast.
A few minutes later he brought the waffle and a ginormous burrito shell… Now we are in San Antonio where tortillas are a staple item to food… How they don’t know the difference between a huge burrito shell and a tortilla is i don’t know. My coworker told him the crepes weren’t cooked all the way and so she would rather have French toast since she didn’t want to risk eating raw crepes. I am now finished with the food I was given and still waiting on French toast. He them brings her side of eggs … Still no French toast.
About 10 minutes later my French toast arrived. But it wasn’t French toast… It was braes covered in batter and cooked. There was literally 2 – 3 inches of egg cooked around it … It was terrible! I couldn’t eat it. They brought my coworkers French toast out and hers was the same and under cooked and gooey. When we asked to speak to the manager Brian he said he cooked it … And that is how their French toast is. When I explained I eat there at this time a couple of times a month after work he shrugged and said this is how our food is. Never offered to re make the food give is different food just walked away!
We had another interaction with him because how upset I was over being hungry and his lack of customer service where he said he was stressed out and couldn’t handle this right now and the food we got was the best we would get!
This is the worst service I’ve received here the worst food and I left a restaurant hungry! I will take my money and business 2 minutes away to Denny’s …

Breakfast was good at first went to go eat my pancakes and took a bite and there was a hair in the cooked pancakes never eating here again

I would give no stars if it were available. This place was the absolute worst. We were seated in less than 10min (myself, hubby, and two kids) which we thought was a plus but after that we did not see our server for nearly 20min. She apologized for the wait, got not only our drink orders but food too, then disappeared again for another 20−25min to drop our drinks off then wander away. We received our food shortly after having to flag the server down to ask about it’s progress. Needless to say when paying I was asked how the food was and when i gave a mediocre response the cashier just shrugged it off. Ending to the story, don’t waste your time here. Go down the road to Denny’s diner or try the IHOP on walzem.

Never coming back, after being seated we saw 3 other parties get seated and served before us. after asking about our food it later came out 5 minutes later and cold. we ate the food anyway because we where starving

I’ve eaten at several IHOPs and by far this one had the worst portion size. I ate the Banana Strawberry Pancakes. They came with green bananas and very few strawberry’s.
The host was very pleasant.
The waitress was OK. Not the horrible experience others have had but still not impressed with this location. She was a little slow to refill drinks but she was really fast to leave before she could address any of our concerns about the food.

Server was exceptional the food was amazing. Me and my wife enjoyed it alot. Food came out fast server was on top of his tables.

The only reason I gave 3 stars instead of 1 is because of the food. The food was great. The service staff needs a lot of work. They need to grow up. Kyron, my server, had this surfer dude kind of personality. He bounces around very nonchalantly, takes my order by saying «ummmmm hmmmmm» for each item I ask for, then has the nerve to criticize me for eating grits plain! He looked at me with this incredulous expression on his face, says «okaaay» in his sing-​songy surfer dude voice, then bounces away shaking his head! WTF?!
Oh, and the other guy was no better with his group. You could hear the irritation in the customer’s voice. I didn’t blame him. That guy wasn’t listening to anyone but himself. It’s as if he was too focused on playing the part of a laid back, confident waiter. Word of advice young man (if you ever read this review), stop trying so hard to be cool and LISTEN to your customers.
The waitress (Christina) that checked me out was indifferent and distant. Not sure what is going on in her life right now but she didn’t give me the warm and fuzzies I usually receive from IHOP.
To end on a good note. The Simply Fit Pancake Combo was delicious. Great job cooking staff!!!

I came here to have a good breakfast and that’s not what my husband and I received. Our service was ok as the girl was new and she didn’t know her stuff but the food quality was not up to IHOP standards it was awful in our opinion. I would not come here again.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. The waitress was impatient and rude. When the food came out I was shocked. «Fresh» fruit looked mushy and old. Everything looked as though it had just been slopped onto the plates. Red velvet pancakes were pink and grey. When I asked waitress if she felt any of the plates resembled the pictures on the menu she rolled her eyes and said, «what do u want me to do?» She didn’t hide her annoyance for a second. I was sitting relatively close to kitchen door and I heard them all laugh and discuss my complaint followed by several colorful four letter words. At that point I stood up and moved to reception area to get away from it as I had my two school aged daughters with me. Manager Ernie had little to say. No apology, just said he would look into it. Sure you will Ernie… I have eaten at plenty of good IHOPs so I’m guessing it’s just the area and an unfortunate mix of disheveled, dissatisfied, disgraceful employees. One star is for the polite reception staff.

The food was pretty good and the service was ok. The waitress seemed a little distracted.

First off, I would have only given one star but our waitress was so sweet and handled our awful experience so well that I went ahead and rated two stars.
We were seated right away even though it seemed a lil busy. The waitress was helpful and answered my questions about the stuffed French toast even though she had only worked their 2 weeks she said so she had to look at the menu also– which was fine. She even brought me a sample of the stuffing stuff to try :)
So we ordered mozzarella sticks as an appetizer. They came to us cold in the middle so we sent them back… They came back soggy and the cheese had burst end out of them and was everywhere. Obviously they didn’t put them back in the fryer they just popped them in the microwave! So we sent them back and we got new, perfectly fine ones. Well this time instead of marinara sauce they sent them with tarter sauce ugh! But we held our tongue about it.
So our meal comes and my French toast that was suppose to come with 6 triangles, a side of egg bacon and hash browns came as one plate with 2 triangles of French toast and 2 pieces of bacon. Seriously!!! And then his plate was missing his hash browns.
Of course we let the waitress know and to our surprise she said ‘yeah it’s wierd cause our manager is even back there helping cook right now so I don’t know why everything’s wrong’ … And then her she said her manager would come speak to us which he never did– which was fine. I’m sure he was so busy back their cooking making sure everyone’s orders were right, right?
We had actually debated Chinese or BBQ and went with Ihop (random?) on a whim and it goes without saying that we will never be going back to this Ihop again.

Wonderful waiter staff! As busy as it was on a Sunday breakfast. Fast service, awesome staff, military discount!
