IHOP

I really thought we would get good service because the place was E-​M-​P-​T-​Y… It was actually, evidently, a sign to stay away!
We got our drinks and then waited 15 minutes for the server to take our food order. Then another 20 minutes passed and our drinks were gone and no refills and still no food. I asked the «other» server if she could please find our server and her reply was I don’t know who your server is… Instead of asking us if she could do anything for us. So we finally get refills and then never saw our server again for another 15 minutes and then our food came out, not correct, which I’m totally confused about because there was only A SINGLE order to concentrate on… OURS. And yep! You guessed it! Haven’t seen our server again. So I’m off to hunt her down and get our check. Hopefully, that is.
SO needless to say we will never return. IHOP is now the new Denny’s! So sad.
Update: went to pay for the food and the cashier asked was everything ok and when I said no, the service was slow and the food was brought out wrong she immediately said «your total is»… Then gave me this blank stare when I asked her why in the world do you even bother asking the guest of everything was ok if you aren’t prepared to address the issues?
Oh… And even tho we never got the add ins we requested, i.e. Cheese, etc. they STILL charged us for it!

So we pulled up and were happy to see no one really in the restaurant at 6pm. Kinda felt lucky. Nope! Apparently people avoid this place like the plague. Three other families in here, we had one sole waitress and it took forever. Kids’ hot chocolate was brown water, my coffee was luke warm at best and the food… to be called food it must be considered edible, right? No customer service, no quality food, no way we’ll ever come back here. What has happened to the IHOPS in America? They use to be a safe bet, but now too be safe you’d better not bet on getting good food or service. Seriously, my family and I are pretty easy going and understanding for some issues but, my goodness, there is nothing good at this place.

This place deserves to be shut down their employees suck so bad and they let people who come in barely 2 minutes in and they had the same number of people as me and my party did it’s not fair that these people allowed it and mind you not it’s on the busiest day and the waitress we had sucks the sweet tea is nasty and she is stupid she didn’t even bother to give straws and refuses to please the customer at all that’s how many thumbs down I give these amateur half hearted idiots.

Strong smell of urine throughout restaurant. Enough said.

My family went there today and let’s start off with saying this place is DIRTY. My dad got coffee and guess what– he almost swallowed 2 flies that he took out of his mouth in front of waitress. The food was horrible. If it wasn’t for the sweet waitress we would have been more upset. The Manager of this store only wanted to comp my dad’s coffee. Not his meal or anything after he almost swallowed 2 flies!!! My son’s waffle was burnt and my meal turkey tasted yucky. I don’t understand how places like this stay open of how dirty and unsanitary they seem to be!!! And don’t care.

When we walked in there was a nasty smell that continued throughout the whole restaurant but we decided to overlook it for these new banana pudding pancakes. We’ve been so excited to try it. When the waitress first came to our table, we asked for 1 – 2 more minutes to decide on our meal. We waited for 10 – 15 minutes and she didn’t come by. The table across from us then yelled over «good luck getting your food» and told us they waited 45 minutes for their food. We wanted to give her the benefit of the doubt but after another 15 minutes of not seeing her, we decided to leave. This place had maybe 7 tables full in the whole place. As we walked out we told the manager we were doing so as a heads up that someone is slacking and it was very obvious he didn’t give two craps. Continued to look down at whatever he was doing while talking to us. We happily went to eat elsewhere.

This is a great IHOP and the one I know I’ll be coming to often because of the cordial staff and pleasant atmosphere. The food is going to be like most IHOP locations, but what sets this one apart is the wait staff being kind and having positive attitudes. Mistakes happen, but they hustle to fix them at this location and even while packed on busy days, it’s surprisingly quiet and well managed.

Typical ihop food; its filling but not very tasty or flavorful. My big steak omelette was fine and my waffle was ok at best. Syrups on the table look kinda gross and are sticky. Coffee is weaker than shit. Looks like butt coffee. Only went here cuz everything else was packed just like here unfortunately. I just want to go to sea world!!! Haha

Miserable Christmas Eve experience. Server was minimally concerned with our needs. Restaurant was nearly empty yet our meals (none of which were complex – 4 entrees, three of them sandwiches) took forever. Against my better judgement, dessert was ordered. 20 minutes later the server (who we’re pretty sure went on break) came back to say that what we ordered wasn’t available. Still initially got charged for the dessert – the error was discovered after the check was rung up. Manager was about clueless. So the upsides: The food tasted generally good. It was hot. The dishes and silverware were clean. Drink service, while slow, was accurate.

My family and I didn’t experience any of the problems others have had. Our service was quick and very friendly. Food was on par with what you get at any other IHOP. They offer a military discount too which is nice.

Thanksgiving dinner of chocolate chip pancakes amazing. Seated immediately despite it being very crowded and busy. Server William was very attentive without being overbearing. Food was brought out hot and very quick. Probably around 5 minutes. Pancakes eggs has Browns and bacon. Absolutely delicious. Will definitely return.

The bathrooms in this restaurant are f**king disgusting. Clearly not cleaned in weeks. Pray you don’t get hepatitis eating here!

This IHOP was awful; by far the worst one I’ve been to in San Antonio yet. The food seemed like it was prepared by the microwave. Once we received our food, our waiter didn’t bother to check on us; we had to ask the clueless cashier for the bill. We will definitely not be returning here.

The 3 stars does not mean I think this is a 3 star restaurant. I only compare it to other IHOPs and restaurants like it.
Just needed a fast meal before heading home and stopped by this IHOP. Was worried since it was almost empty at 6pm, but decided to try it anyway. I have no complaints. The server was very friendly and attentive. My soda was without flavor, so I got lemonade instead. Food was hot and tasted as it should. Since business was slow, a good wipe-​down would probably not hurt.

This is by far the worst IHOP I have ever been to. For starters it took about 10 minutes for anyone to approach us. Secondly there was hardly anyone here at 7pm which made me wonder if it was for a reason. I ordered my usual breakfast selection of eggs, bacon, and hash browns. Oh and a cup of coffee to wash it all down with. Guess how long it took to get our food? Like 45 mins without anyone else being there! I’m glad I didn’t go at lunch time because it was not worth it at all! Plus it took forever to get a check which I cannot stand.
Next time Ill stick with Cracker Barrel or Jim’s!

Very unsanitary restaurant! Servers petting a customers dogs then started touching tables and server plates, manager sat us at TWO fifthly booths before deciding she would wipe it down booths (using the same dirty rag on four other tables and chairs before putting it down, table right next to us had all kinds of food on the floor, maybe I made a mistake coming at 12 on a Saturday and expecting a sanitary restaurant!

Came in around 5 on a weekday evening to cram for a test, at first I didn’t know if they were open or not, as my car was the only vehicle in the lot. I was seated quickly and had a very friendly waitress who kept the coffee coming. Food was okay, typical IHOP fare (I didn’t come for the food). Clean restaurant, friendly service. More people came in after I sat down, but it was slow overall. I would come back, as it is pretty comfortable to sit and study while I have some coffee. They did not hassle me or give me the stink eye for choosing to study there. :-) Always a plus.

Service was horrible! The guy couldn’t multitask and it wasn’t even busy. The food was good though especially the new drinks they have… try the watermelon lemonade! It was awesome and free refills!

Booth was filthy, wipe it down! Food took 45 minutes to arrive. We waited it out because we were hungry. Server was new but very attentive.

Okay, our mistake was to go to an IHOP (any IHOP) at 10 am on a Saturday. That’s never a good move.
The good: They were seating people like it was going out of style, so even though there were a bunch of people ahead of us we were seated within 15 minutes as promised.
The bad: They were slammed.
The honey said his breakfast sandwich was terrible.
Had to ask twice each for more coffee and water.
Eggs were greasy and not tasty.
No creamer refill.
The ugly: The honey said the men’s room was disgusting (even for a men’s room) and had no toilet paper.
It’s cheap food at above cheap prices with passable service. I would come back only if necessary.
