Hookah Layal Cafe

I have been a couple of times and it’s usually been good, no major complaints that would keep me from coming (: the only thing is if you go on a busy night (Friday/​Saturday or a night where something special is going on) then the service will be slower and sometimes it would be hard to get service at all. It seemed they were short staffed the night I went (a dj was playing) and I’m not 100% if they knew they would be that busy so I don’t really blame them, but I would hope they have more people on staff next time they have an event like that because it did suck having to go up to the counter and asking multiple times asking for something.
They do play different types of music at different times of the day so if you’re unhappy with the music selection ask when it will be changed, I know one time I went it was set to oldies then later on it was changed to pop so it just depends on the crowd and time of day/​night.
The bubble tea wasn’t too great and idk what happened with it so I wouldn’t recommend it but the hookah was pretty good! If the taste runs out and you THINK you wanna change it out then DO IT! The last time I went I was thinking about it and regretted it lol

Hookah was attrocious, weak flavor, poor quality all together here.
Poorly made iced coffee, bad music choices, it was almost like being back at Bubblehead in 2011.

The hookah, service, and food was awesome. The beef gyro and hummus hit the spot! Definitely my new favorite spot to eat and smoke hookah.

Came here last night with a friend, both our first time. There was some people there but not many, mostly college people. Shisha was good and the beer was better. Came here as a last minute decision but will go back.

Good joint, helpful staff. Greatly enjoyed the tobacco! Gotta come back during Happy Hour

I like this place. The outside area is really spacious unlike most places. Nice to be under the stars!
They are now serving alcohol… great addition!

Food and Hookah were great, I will go back defiantly. The suggestions I got from the manger were great chose.

I’ve been here about 3 times already trying to give this place another chance but at this point I’ve had it.
The fried pickles are the only decent thing about this place. The service is horrible and the food is dry. The beer which my friend ordered was flat, as if it had been sitting out open for a few days. The pita bread was hard and dry and got cold within 2 minutes of it being brought out. The hummus tasted like it was bought from HEB last minute, and the bubble tea wasn’t even remotely close to being bubble tea, it was a flavorless watery drink with big chunks of Ice. The hookah is also not to my liking. I am never coming here again.

Had the gryo a while back and I’ll tell you straight up. It was frozen or something. Almost looked like frozen steak umms. It wasn’t fresh off the spit like at Pasha or some of the other places around town. I never went back because it was so terrible. If you think the gryo is good here your taste buds are dead.

This is close to home and reasonable priced for our family of 4 (including 2 teenagers) chill and the food is amazing. Momma wishes they served at least beer or wine though.
