Harold’s has been my go to for art supplies since I was in elementary school. This southside gem is well established and offers not only an extensive array of art supplies but some great classes. I always find what I need in stock and for a great price. They carry a lot of specialized art supplies. Chances are if you are looking for something they will have it! Anything from oil paints to plaster of Paris or supplies for your crafting needs. Behind the counter or in the aisles you’ll usually find Harold. He is always ready for a conversation and his expertise is always welcomed. I think I learn something new every time I come into the store. The remarkable treatment you’ll receive alone will keep you coming back.

After I wiped out the two Michaels stores close to me, I still needed more craft supplies for a fabric art project. Unaware of an art & craft place in the area, I went to my residential Southside expert Jessica A.(seriously, she’s a wealth of advice and info about the area.). She recommended Harold’s and I stopped by on my way home from work. This store is massive. I wandered through aisles of paint, frames, brushes, plaster and scupluting materials until Harold came by and asked if I needed help. After he explained(in depth. ;)) what the shop has to offer as far as supplies and classes he lead me towards the canvas area and voila! Found the last piece of my project puzzle. Price-wise, Harold’s is really competitive with Michaels and seemed to have a lot of sale prices on their brushes and acrylic paints. Plus, there is the cutest little wire-haired dog roaming around the shop! What more do you need?
