I was craving a baked good and found this spot on Unilocal so I decided to give it a try. I liked it. It had alot to choose from. The guy was really nice who helped me out. No wait. I’ll definitely go back to try something different. My jelly doughnut was nice and fresh and cant wait try the other baked goods i purchased. I got cookies and doughnuts for $ 5.11! Thats a steal. I went to a bakery closer to me and got 4 doughnuts was almost $ 10.forget that place. It was nice to find a place with fresh items and good price

They have GOOD BREAD and GOOD SERVICE, but the place was not very clean, sadly, I saw an insect (don’t want to say what it was) on top of the cookies. I felt bad, but still supported by buying some donuts.

stumbled onto this place while visiting. we went in and bought 6 different pastries and the bill was about 4 dollars. the place was easy to overlook but you should not overlook it as the lady inside is super sweet and so helpful. we want to go back tomorrow but are so bummed because tbey are closed on Monday. suffice it to say if and when we come back, we are headed right there. It is worth the extra few minutes drive from downtown to treat yourself to these delicious donuts.

I love a good panaderia, and El Volcan hits the spot. It is so hard to find fresh mollettes (pan de huevo) that is soft and made WITHOUT anise. The heart sugar cookies were also yummy. I will definitely come back.

Oakland, CA
Driving out of downtown to the south, I came across this small panaderia hoping for a cheaper and more authentic experience than Mi Tierra. This place really lived up to my hopes.
For an extremely low price, I got 6 or 7 sweet breads that were fresh and delicious. The gingerbread pig and cinnamon roll were my favorites.
Check this place out if you get a chance. It’s near the San Jose Mission, so it would be easy to create a fun and tasty afternoon out of a trip to this excellent panaderia.
And the service is the best!
