This place has a great selection of wine. I was so excited to hear they opened a location in San Antonio. As a member of the wine club, for $ 50 every 3 months you get free tastings whenever and 3 bottles of wine. Makes for nice, inexpensive date nights! Great service, too!

So, the wine was very good, better than I expected, but not great or amazing, to me. The service was super friendly as well. My main reason for only three stars? The atmosphere! It was so open and empty with huge windows opening up to the walkway that was flooded with light. It wasn’t that quaint comfortable atmosphere I’ve Come to enjoy at most wineries. Minor detail to some, but for me, it’s a very big deal. Big enough to make me not want to go back.

Lemon, Lime wines are great downfall was told lemon going away. Lime tastes close to margarita. Samples are great, but to leave w a few bottles. Variety is awesome. Go see if down at market or their other locations

Absolutely, positively obsessed with Fiesta Winery! Some of my favorites: 1. Sweet Dreams. Stock up when you see it — it’s seasonal. :/ 2. Texas Summer Night 3. Back Porch Sittin 4. Happy Trails 5. Well Water 6. Skinny Dippin 7. Savannah Rose 8. DECADENCIA. Omg. Heaven on earth! It’s a dessert wine, so it’s pretty strong.

This is the same vintner that has wine tasting rooms located on Main Street in downtown Fredericksburg and on the 290 Texas Wine Trail. Kind of neat that Fiesta opened a locale in El Mercado, SATX. A bit ballsy I must say(I wish them all the best of luck!); however, a welcomed addition to the variety of other retailers and restaurateurs. There’s certainly nothing else like it in the area. The tasting room/space resembles that of the other two locations — bright colors with wood accents. You get 5 tastings for 10 bucks, and that includes keeping Fiesta’s adorable wine glass. Or, of course, you may order by glass of bottle if you wish. The staff at the SATX space are just as personable as the other spots. Great customer service with a smile and a unique experience while visiting El Mercado(or Market Square as it’s sometimes referred to). All of the wines at Fiesta tend to be on the sweeter side. I have been informed more than once that this is the result of the vintner’s personal preference and the fact that she chooses to make that brand her personal niche of sweet Texas selections. While extra sweet varieties are not a favorite of mine, I recommend checking out the tasting room while visiting El Mercado — particularly if your visit to Tejas is limited and you will not have the opportunity to visit other Texas wineries(the wines have come a LONG way in the past decade). Overall: Partaking in a tasting is enjoyable. Fiesta wines are not my favorite Texas choices and not ones I would typically buy by the bottle… BUT… please engage in all of the fun Texas, El Mercado and San Antonio have to offer and enjoy! Drop 10, take home a souvenir glass as a keepsake and conversation starter, and maybe even take a bottle home to share with others so you can share a bit of the great state of Texas with them. Yes, the pastries at Mi Tierra are lovely, but they won’t travel as well or last as long as a bottle of «Rhinestone Cowgirl.»
