This is a business in the Mercado section of downtown San Antonio, so you know they do not rely on repeat customers. I live only around 45 minutes away, so I do go to this area occasionally. I recently purchased a beautiful handpainted Mexican mirror and sink for my bathroom. I admit the store did a fine job of bubble wrapping these items and they were in good shape when I got home with them. At home, I laid the mirror glass side up on our very large vanity in our guest bath. This is a household with two adults and no children, and there is no way anything could have fallen on this mirror. The next morning we discovered the mirror had a large crack that extended the entire length of the mirror. Upon examination, we determined the crack was due to stress; there was not enough support in the«frame» of the mirror to support a glass that size and weight. I called the store to ask them if they would split the cost of have new glass put in this mirror along with more support to keep it from cracking again. I feel the lack of support is a defect in this mirror. The sales lady on the phone was very pleassant and said she would have a manager call me. No call ever came, so I tried again… no call. I decided to dispute this charge with Mastercard. The agent from Mastercard put me on a three-way call with the store. Now, I didn’t really expect they would help me out with this because how do they really know I didn’t damage the mirror… but when I talked to the store about this, I really got some attitude from the person on the other end of the line. I told her I would pay to have the glass replaced in this mirror and added support put in the back, but because of her instant bad attitude toward me, I would also give her a less than glowing Unilocal review. I sure she really doesn’t care…
