My daughter and I love El Polo Loco! The food is delicious and healthy! Prices are reasonable! Location is closeby to where we live. We’ll be eating at El Polo Loco more often! Clean restaurant! Friendly employees! Great service! I wish they’d expand their desert menu!

How do you describe an authentic Mexican chain food restaurant? This is NOT Taco Bell, El Polo is 10 000% better. OMG, I’ve been to El Polos from California to Virginia Beach for 20 years and they are all just like this one, perfectly authentic Mexican food where all the locals enjoy lunch and dinner. This is the first El Polo I’ve been in that the manager, little Hispanic mother, comes around and asks about what you think of her food. It was a delightful conversation. BTW the one in VA Beach closed in 2014

Was in SA visiting family and picked up some yummy chicken. Topped it off with some corn tortillas and some of their awesome avocado green sauce — greatness. The sauce is sooooo good, though it could be a tad spicier. Price, service, food, was great. Condiment station was fresh and fully stocked.

I was sick for a week and after regaining my sense of taste, the first thing I did was go to el pollo loco for a chicken and avocado quesadilla. Cabbage, cabbage, CABBAGE. Did someone from the Old Country make this?
So disappointing. Up until now, I’ve had nothing but good experiences, so I probably will come back again and just hope that the person who made my quesadilla has been reassigned to to the condiment buffet.

My family and I tried this establishment out about 2 months ago, sometime on October 2013. First and last time for us. We had seen a recent ad boasting their new something bowl. We visited on a week night and found business a little on the dirty side. We all ordered either crispy tacos or bowls and were so disgusted by what we received. shells so hard we could not chew them, cold hard dry chicken. So cold and hard I asked my husband if he could even taste it. So cold that the cheese never melted. It was so bad we could not finish the meals and went to eat somewhere else. I noticed some 2012 reviews that seemed quite good. NOT this place.
