My husband & I met kinesiologist, John, when he & a colleague delivered gym equipment that we had purchased from Fitness in Motion. With our purchases, we received free delivery, set-up, instructions on how to use the equipment and a workout session with John. My husband enjoyed his workout and wanted to continue working with John to improve his fitness level. Last Saturday, we met with John at this studio for RMR test(which estimates how many calories you would burn if you were to do nothing) and VO2 max test(which measures maximum rate of oxygen consumption during incremental exercise). Note: only my husband took the tests. Why these numbers are so important, I don’t know. John spent 3 hours administering the tests, going over the results, explaining the importance of knowing your numbers and discussing workout plans. But I honestly wasn’t paying attention. Too busy looking at food porn ;p Nothing against John or this studio. I’m just not THAT into fitness. But if you are like my husband & numbers, charts, and workout plans are important to you, you should give John a call. He is knowledgeable and patient. There are different programs to suit your needs. There are also other trainers if John isn’t right for you. But we’d recommend John.

Never on time for appointments, happened numerous times, unprofessional, and would Not recommend to anyone. They only care about the money here…

It is now 2 months later, and the wait times are down to 30 minutes past the appointment time, but I still think that is unacceptable. I have completed my 12-week program and only lost 10 pounds in all. I expected better results, but then again, there is no real scientific or FDA support for this type of weight loss program; I was hoping for at least a placebo affect, but still I’m, 10 pounds lighter than when I started, even if it is only because I’m watching my caloric intake. I’m considering going back on NutriSystem as I lost 24 pounds over the course of 4 or 5 months. For me, this was a waste of money, but maybe it works for other people.
