Service. Excellent. Our server was extremely knowlegable and was able to make some great recommendations without being overbearing. Location and ambiance. It’s located in a strip mall and parking is a bit crowded especially during lunch. The restaurant itself is beautiful with patio seating and, my favorite part was seeing Mexican blankets on every patio chair. Yes, every one! There are patio heaters as well but those blankets? Loved them. When in San Antonio and you feel strong winds coming on, don that Mexican blanket like Pancho Villa and, with a little panglossian optimism, you can weather any Texan storm that comes your way *fist pump*. Now, where was I? Oh, yes… Food. The braised prosciutto pizza was amazing. Salty bits of pulled proscuitto, semi-dried tomatoes with gorgonzola and a thick, flavorful balsamic reduction. Like no other. Delicious. Dough is one of only a few establishments that are able to market and sell authentic Napa style pizza. They will give you the history if you ask but basically a certain amount of training is required. Don’t take my word for it and do a little research before you go. I could go on and on but they arleady have 934 reviews and you can see for yourself when you visit. Solid 5 stars.

My wife read about this place being showcased on Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives. So we checked it out while we were in San Antonio during Valentine’s weekend. Having eaten at so many fabulous pizza places, I wasn’t sure how this would stack up to the competition. We arrived at lunch time on Saturday and it was packed. However, there was no wait. There was plenty of seating inside and out. The first thing you notice are two beautiful pizza ovens. The kitchen is in-your-face as you walk in. The waiter told me they were imported from Italy and stay at a temperature of 800 degrees. It only takes 90 seconds to fully cook a pizza in that oven. I might be off on that number but it’s a short amount of time. Anyway, the menu took some studying before we were ready to place an order. We ordered two pizzas, one for my son and I and one for my veggie loving beautiful wife. No appetizers. The pizzas came out fast. Although my wife could not finish her pizza, I probably could have finished mine all by myself. I ended up eating the rest of hers. Their pizzas are about the size of a medium pizza, give or take. I was hoping to order a large pizza and share it. But two pizzas were needed for three people in this case. This drives the price up a bit. But it was enough that we didn’t need an appetizer. Next time, I will order an appetizer though. They looked good on other people’s tables. lol My wife ordered a cheese pizza which was very good. My son and I ordered the Nduja pork sausage pizza… and let me tell you… it was fabulous! We porked it down. The sausage was on the spicy side and melted in your mouth. It was definitely a unique flavor and texture. The crust was cooked just right. The sauce was delicious and the mix of fontina and burrata was delicious. The service was great as well. I have eaten at a lot of pizza places around the country.(Chicago, New York) I can’t say this is the best pizza I have ever had, but it’s a contender. It was definitely worth making the trip to this pizzeria.

If I ever visit again, I would just order plates of mozzarella and bread, because their cheese steals the show. It’s pricey, but good, house-made mozzarella outside of Italia is going to be. The pizza was good, but again, the cheese trumped everything by leaps and bounds. Service was slow(sat outside), and it took a while just to get water, but after the caprese came out I did not care as much. However, caprese should be with fresh tomatoes; sun dried tomatoes are way too overpowering for the delicate flavor of fresh mozzarella. In conclusion: mozzarella.

This place is consistently amazing every time. Do not go without getting one of their burratas. We had one with leeks, bacon, and mushrooms today and I thought I’d died and gone to heaven. I’ve never been disappointed in their pizza either. Anything and everything is good. The char from the brick oven perfectly compliments all of their authentic toppings. I love this place so much and always take friends and family when they’re visiting from out of town. The staff is always happy to help you choose as well, whether it be a wine, burrata, or pizza, they will give amazing suggestions.

Before I evaluate the food, I must mention that I received the best service here and the food itself was very mouthwatering. Upon entering, my boyfriend and I decided to get seated near the chef’s bar. It was taking a while for us to get served until finally our waitress came and apologized for the wait. She was very friendly and was knowledgeable with regards to what was on the menu as well. My boyfriend and I ordered: The signature«Pork Love», the lunch special(includes a soda, and salad), and for dessert the Panna Cotta, and the Nutella panino. PORKLOVE: Unfortunately, when I received mine, the bottom of it was all burnt :(However; the waitress did not hesitate to go ask for another one for me. It didn’t take long for my new pizza to arrive, as the brick-oven bakes the pizzas for 60 seconds(wow!). Anyways, the house made sausage has a burst of flavour when you consume it. The dough itself is really thin but it tasted amazing as well. (Furthermore, among receiving that burnt pizza, I had 2 managers come up to me to ask if everything was alright. That for me shows a lot of respect of how they treat their customers, and for that reason, I found the service here to be splendid). PANNACOTTA: It was my boyfriends first time trying a Panna Cotta, he didn’t know what to expect but he was familiar to the flavour ‘Vanilla Bean’. He hated the texture(its very similar to flan) but he didn’t mind how it tasted. I tried it myself and it tasted great! Minus the texture(not my cup of tea either). Nutella Panino: Personally, I felt it was just a sandwich with Nutella spread on it. Nothing too special, but if you’re a fan of Nutella; it’s a great pick. Overall, if you’re looking for a place to eat lunch, this is a great option. If I was to ever crave pizza, I would definitely come back here.

I absolutely love this pizza! The brick-oven pizza they make here is delicious and unique, and I can definitely see why they were featured on TV. Whenever I go there, I usually order the ARUGULA&PROSCIUTTO pie, the MARGHERITA pie, the SPECK pie, or the BRAISEDPROSCIUTTO&GORGONZOLA pie. All of them are ALL delicious, but my personal favorite is the Arugula and Prosciutto pie. For appetizer, I usually get the PICCOLOCAPRESE and it’s amazing! Their wine selection is also pretty good as well. Since the pie diameters are not big at

Don’t get what all the hype is about this place. I got the large prosciutto sausage pizza and was expecting greatness. However, I was disappointed to find a poor excuse of a pizza before me. First of all the pizza was not even cooked to a high enough temperature to be considered hot. There was no crispness to the dough and it was all rubbery and chewy. I’ll admit the ingredients seemed fresh, but like the pizza the prosciutto was just cold and not even cooked to a crisp. Overall, very poor experience and very disappointed in the food here. The pizza was tiny, expensive and luke warm. I hope I just came on a bad day and that it is normally not like this. Maybe I’ll give it another shot in the future but not anytime soon.

By far one of the most delicious pizzas I’ve tasted! Dough takes extra pride in the quality of ingredients and you can absolutely taste the difference. The dough itself is made in house as well as the mozzarella and sausage. Many of their ingredients also comes straight from Naples(including the stone oven!) and if they can’t get it from Naples, they get it from the region surrounding Naples(like their basil and thyme) or from a local farm(like the arugula). The point is: fresh ingredients, farm to table experience. Hopefully you’ll notice the difference! The margarita pizza was very delicious. The dough was soft, elastic and fragrant with a thin crust and enough cheese and sauce. I sat outside enjoying the ambiance with a glass of falanghina. Service was superb too!
