Wandering into the covered parking lot at Northstar Mall for this event had me feeling like I was stepping into an 80’s horror movie. Instead of finding a masked man lurking in the darkness, i found plenty of awesome food trucks and other vendors looking to make your night a lot better. I had the pleasure of volunteering at this event with the BIG man himself(Tomas) and brought my g/f along to help out. Volunteering consisted of helping blow up our red plastic Unilocal Sofas for the lounge area, draping branded table skirts on the standing 4 tops, setting up buckets for lifesize«non-beer» pong and of course bribing people with cool merch to check in. The event was easy and a lot of fun but Tomas made sure we all got to fully enjoy the night by rotating us in and out so we could walk around, try the food and reap the benefits of the event. That pretty much equates into us over indulging to some degree in the complimentary wine, beer and cocktails. Good thing my girlfriend was the DD. :D I had the chance to get some face painting done with my girlfriend and the artist working on us did a great job and worked fast too so we had to tip him. We visited everyone from Slider Provider to Cupcake Wineries and Cayman Jack Margarita. A buddy of mine from high school was working for the latter so talk about a small world. I really enjoyed the event and was pretty impressed with how much you got for the minuscule entry fee. They throw in so much for so little that it’s hard for me to NOT want to come back to this event every year going forward. I would recommend this event without ANY reservations to pretty much anyone looking to have a great time with very good food options while indulging in your preferred drink of choice. For those of you not looking to «drink», I’d say drop by The Lemonade Company because EVERYTHING they have to offer is on its own level. Leave the kiddos at home and let’s have some good grown up fun!

This was a great event! The last minute venue change was handled very well. There was so much wine and beer to drink! It was like a grown up playground! There was life size beer pong and live music. The event was also family friendly and featured face painting and balloon animals for the kids. There was a great selection of food trucks from all around San Antonio. With a great variety and something for everyone. The only complaint I have about this event had to do with the venue change. The garage was very loud and hot. It was also not very well ventilated. I will recommend this event to my family and friends and I will be back next year!

Absolutely the best food truck event in S. A!!! $ 10 can get you entrance into the Culinaria HEB food truck event which features unlimited wine and beer. HEB did great at serving up tiny duck bahn mi’s and fruit/cheeses along with a delicious watermelon salad! And of course who can forget, food trucks abound, which you purchase from separately. It was unfortunate the event was relocated due to the weather(there was no rain after all) however that didn’t deter anyone at all! The event was going hard all night long, and the lines were modest and tolerable. The food trucks were wonderful, every truck had its own flavor and charm. My favorites had to have been Duck Truck and Crêpe Nation. Duck Truck had duck confit tacos with pineapple salsa while the crêpe truck served up the best chicken enchilada crepes, and ohhhh my are these some of the best enchiladas ever, even better than most Mexican restaurants in town! lol. Plus, we showed up without cash and it was great to know that the food trucks we went to accepted debit cards using a Square. So next year when Culinaria comes around the corner, don’t be afraid to attend the food truck event by HEB, embrace its low prices, the perks of admission, and the great flavors you get to experience! Also, don’t forget that wine/beer glass combos are sold at the entrance for 5 $ each. Enjoy!

Well, that was fun. $ 20 at the door for all you can drink is never a bad thing in my book. The event was well-organized and I was glad to see a little corner reserved for Unilocal! The food truck vendors were all very friendly and served up some great stuff. I especially liked the empanadas from Sabor Colombiano and the shrimp poboy from the New Orleans truck. HEB, as they do everything with exceptional class, was amazing, serving up finger foods like fruits, breads and cakes. They also rivaled the evil In-Bev(Budweiser piss water) empire by serving up a few local crafts, thank goodness. Even though this year’s event was moved to a noisy parking garage, everything seemed natural after a while. I really appreciated the diversity of trucks, the cheesy live music and even the confectionary trucks like Crêpe Nation and Lick Y’all. Most of all, I’m glad I got to spend a little time with SA’s Unilocal fam.

$ 10 pre-paid tickets with access to unlimited wine samples, full can beers, and food tastings… Score! This is one event everyone should be putting on their calendar annually. Culinaria puts on some pretty stellar events that help raise funds for some great causes. This particular event highlights some great local food trucks that many San Antonians are fond of. Keep in mind you do have to pay for your food at the food trucks. But with the amount of free alcohol your drinking for ten bucks it’s totally fine in my books to pay for my food! This year featured Lick, Duk Truck, Sirwacha, and many many more. It was pretty awesome how they even had Church’s Chicken for those who aren’t so adventurous. A particular hit amongst the kids from what I saw. Which leads me to my next fave thing about this event– it’s kid and family friendly! As the adults are getting their wine-on, the kiddos are able to get their face painted, enjoy some photo booths, munch on popcorn and cotton candy, and even enjoy some carnival style games. Throw in some live music and you’re set for the night. It’s different every year with what exactly is featured at the event, but nonetheless you can expect a great time with everyone!

What a great evening in San Antonio! We haven’t been able to sample San Antonio’s Food Trucks and this was a perfect opportunity to try them. The $ 10 entry fee covered beverages(beer, wine, water, etc). HEB and Culinaria know how to throw a party. Plenty of wines to sample with generous pourings. Our family followed the advice from Culinaria, we divided and conquered! The favorite among us was the Slider Provider truck, the Chuck Norris slider was simply awesome. Coming in a close second was the Cheesy Jane truck with their terrific tots and fries. We won’t miss this event ever again and more importantly, we’ll start making time to sample our city’s food trucks more often.

In terms of Food Truck events I’ve been to, this one wins! $ 10 entry for free beer and wine throughout the event? They’re practically giving booze away here. Everything from the trucks has to be bought separately from your ticket, but in addition to the trucks there’s a variety of vendors selling their wares plus a kid’s gaming area and rock wall for climbing. When it got dark, a big screen played a family-friendly movie for everyone. My tip: Get there early! It definitely got pretty crowded, and since they use the food trucks to create a perimeter for the event, the trucks are jam-packed in there leaving little room for bodies. If you get there right at the beginning(6pm), you’ll have no lines, you’ll have your choice of seating areas, and you can sit and enjoy your food and company while everyone else waits in line.

Really had a great time here! We had never been before, but it was a blast. $ 10 in advance gained us entry to the event and beer/wine samplings as well as waters, sodas, etc. Dozens of local food trucks were on site to make sure we didn’t go hungry as well as fresh fruits, snacks, etc provided by HEB. A kids zone was present as well with a rock wall, movie screen, video games, etc. My only complaint was that I felt the event a bit too crowded. Had they spaced out the trucks, stations a bit more, it would have made the whole thing that much more enjoyable. Also, the lines were redic long to get drinks/samplings. Next time more stations, and spacing it out for a better flow and they’ll nail that 5-Star rating.

10 bucks got us free beverages, and access to the best food trucks in town. To top off the evening, we watched a movie on the blow up screen. Will definitely make it a yearly visit. We had a blast.
