I pretty much always get The Gouda when I get there and it’s always ready in just a few minutes and delicious! Their hand-cut fries are freaking delicious, I can never get enough of them. The Fridge is definitely my #1 choice when it comes to choosing which food truck I’m going to eat at.

This is why you always, always, ALWAYS go to Unilocal first. Here I come, ready to make an amazing review about the sandwich I ate today, and I come over here and I see there’s a chicken sandwich with hot cheetos breading and I didn’t get it today? What is this, amateur hour? How did I miss that? I’m reserving a potential 5th star because apparently, dreams do come true, and then there’d be nowhere to bump it up. I came to The Fridge a little overwhelmed because it’s Restaurant on the Move during Culinaria’s Restaurant Week. They lined up so many great trucks that my head was spinning, but I was attracted to the pretty blue of the truck and the the ingredients I scanned, but apparently not well enough!, on their board. I got the avocado panini, which I adored. In addition to avocado, this sandwich also featured turkey, basil, roasted red peppers. The flavors of the peppers and the basil were definitely the stand outs, and they complemented each other so well. Honestly? I could’ve left off the turkey and been in heaven with the flavors mixed with that creamy avocado. The bread was toasted and crisp, but still soft and chewy. It came with a side of great fries, and some ranch type dressing for dipping. I was so happy munching on my lunch, and even though I was sitting outside in a hot Texas summer day, it didn’t make me feel heavy or weighed down that afternoon. I only ate half, which was plenty to fill me up. I’ll be following up with this one again, and hoping to update with a fifth star.
