Chipotle Mexican Grill

I LOVE chipotle, but this location has disappointed me. I have never received such a small portion of food. I got a decent amount of rice, a small scoop of black beans, a small pinch of meat (didn’t want to ask for more because otherwise I would have been charged an extra $ 2.15 for another small pinch), hot sauce, cheese, lettuce, and sour cream. The food was delicious as always, but the bowl was tiny compared to the amount of food I get from other locations.

Awesome place and people, Dave the manager was welcoming and helpful. Never a wait and always spotless. Great place for a meal!

They are very cheap with the meat portions, serving you very little. And the pinto beans were dry.

This is the best Chipotle location in San Antonio. The employees are really cool and I leave happy.

Stale chips meat portions not the greatest like other chipotles and the steak was very rubbery

This location is like every location and I’ve been to in the country: clean, busy, fast, friendly service, decent food, a little pricey. No complaints.
With approximately 20 people in line ahead of me at 12:45 PM on a Wednesday, I had my food and was eating within 10 minutes of walking in the front door. Food is not scalding hot but not cold, staff are very friendly and when I questioned the origin of a particular meat like substance in a pan, I was told it was their tofu and offered a taste (which I passed on — but it looked good and I’ll order it next time).
The overhead music was Santana when I walked in and is currently some strain of electronic dance music. Based on the crowd I don’t believe most people care for it or don’t care. Either way, it contributes to a fast pace environment.
I’m having the carnitas bowl with brown rice. It’s on par for their standards. However, this isn’t mouth-​watering, succulent carnitas. It’s Chipotle’s carnitas. It’s moist, conservative in flavor and did the job for a pork meat option that falls in to the Mexican food genre. For white boy carnitas it’s top of the line as far as shredded pork goes. But if you’re looking for authentic, Texas style carnitas you can go to any taco shack in San Antonio and get much much better and for a lower price. But if that’s what you really wanted you’d be at a taco shack and not at Chipotle.
I gave 5 stars because of overall food quality and environment.

I just stopped by on my way home from rehearsal. Closing time is 10, I was through the door by 9:30. All but one employee was less than enthusiastic, borderline rude to help me. All except Randy. He was working the front by himself. He’s the only one that said hello to me, and said hello to all the people who walked in after me. While it was clear that my presence irritated all the other employees, he seemed genuinely happy to help me. Good job Randy! Everyone should look to you for customer service lessons.

The food was good but it seemed that they were out of several things. I ordered chicken tacos and the chicken wasn’t ready and they were out. I opted for steak which was very tasty. When getting a sting they were out of ice in the machine so I didn’t get ice. It took longer than normal to visit this place but I was not in a hurry so I didn’t mind. The people working were very nice and very helpful.

Our favorite chipotle in San Antonio. I’m serious. Always friendly and the location is clean! I love that they aren’t greedy with their servings. I usually get the chicken bowl with all the toppings– brown rice & black beans. Can’t get enough. The burritos are delicious too. The tortillas are warm when served and just so tasty! Even if we are on the other side of town, we will travel to this specific one. So good! Please don’t change Quarry chipotle!!!

Apparently military discount is only provided in uniform. Most of us aren’t allowed off post, let alone in uniform, which isn’t allowed. However, the girl who checked me out was semi rude when explaining their military discount policy. I’ve always received my discount at this location. I can adhere to the policy, just irritated at the consistency.

My first time at a Chipotle’s and it was a great experience. Food as fresh as I thought and very flavourful.

We were visiting my Mother in-​law in area and needed to pick up quick bite before heading home. It was 18 min to closing mind you. We walked in and were greeted with warm welcoming smiles and a cheerful attitude! Thanks Quarry Chipotle for a wonderful end to my Mother’s Day!!!

Love chipotle! Can’t go wrong with a chicken bowl. The salsas are made fresh… I know b/​c waaaay back in HS I used to make them when I worked there. Only problem is… the food packs alot of sodium! So be careful if you bloat easy!

I love Chipotle, but especially this location. The folks who work there are always so friendly and chatty and give great customer service. For example, when I was there yesterday, the girl in front of me ordered barbacoa. They had just run out and told her it would be a few more minutes, and they offered her a free drink while she waited.
I love that they make the guac fresh there by hand… it’s better than guac in most Mexican restaurants in town! There are so many healthy options. I was just talking to one of the guys working there, who was telling me about how he’s proud that they really grill the meats, steam the rice, and use other healthy methods to prepare the food. Things are sourced from good places, the meats are raised humanely, and the company seems to truly care about where their food comes from – something surprising for fast casual. Chipotle is one of my go-​tos for a quick, healthy salad, and I am always treated well when I come to this location in the Quarry!

Finally a Chipotle that doesn’t undercook their rice!
This is the only Chipotle in town I’ve found that served the ingredients to the quality I’m used to from this chain. Service was fast and friendly and the interior was well kept and clean. I respected that they had posted their meat was not sustainably grown at the moment but would be again as soon as possible. I thought it was great they disclosed that information.

Shoutout to this location for handling crowds and large lunch orders so well!
I’ve come by during a lunch rush before and found that the line went rather quickly compared to other locations where things tend to get congested around the register.
Usually I think if you’ve been to one Chipotle, you’ve been to them all, but I was downright impressed by how well they handled a fax-​in order from my office for a staff birthday. There must have been at least nine or ten separate orders, and not only were they all packed up and ready to go just as I arrived to pick them up, but they were all CORRECT per the form we sent in, AND they helpfully included an itemized list that broke down total cost of each person’s order while still combining the total for easy payment.
We’ll definitely have to order from here again!

This place is amazing! The employees appear to have had a red bull or 2 but seemed to be really happy working there.
The atmosphere is hipster style so its something nice to look at. The dining room and the bathrooms are very clean. The food behind the counter was fresh and the counters were clean too.
And the food! Some of the best food I have ever had. I ordered the crispy tacos with white rice, black beans, shredded beef and cheese. I think those were THE best tacos I have ever had, and that’s saying a lot.

Oh Chipotle… I love your chicken tacos/​burrito bowls/​anything made with chicken! There’s just something about the flavor of the chicken that makes me want to eat a million tacos (but I stop at 3)!
The carnitas here are really good as well… the margaritas are ok (for fast food margaritas, I prefer Taco Cabana’s). The only problem I see is that the portions are super calcuated and I usually end up asking for more chicken/​cheese/​rice. That’s ok… I’ve never had a problem asking and getting more.
Now I’m craving chicken tacos… off to Chipotle I go!
