Ugh. The service was terrible. First off, this is not a favorite place of mine at all. We went because my mom seems to like the food. We waited a few minutes for our table, it was busy but not crazy. While we waited we noticed another family was mad because they had given their table away twice. Not a good omen. Luckily we got a table quick. Well we thought lucky. I ordered a water & my mom ordered a decaf. It took forever for the waitress to come back with our drinks & take our order. The couple that got there after us received their salads as our order was being taken. 45 minutes later our order finally arrived. Mine was ehh, basically what I expected. My mom’s, however, didn’t even closely resemble the picture on the menu. She asked for her sirloin medium well, it was dry & brown all the way through. Her avocado wasn’t sliced or grilled, it was just a huge cold, quarter piece of avocado. The whole time we waited, the waitress never asked if we were okay. After we asked where our food was she didn’t apologize at all, just said it was on its way. Finally, after we got through the best we could & asked for the ticket, is when she apologized & was nice enough to take my mom’s plate off the ticket.(that’s why I gave them 2 stars) I’m happy for that; but we didn’t want a free meal, we wanted a good meal with good service. Oh well, it is a chili’s.

The dine in service is usually good. Except one time when i went in for my dad’s birthday with a groups of about 8 ppl, took a hour to get our food &30 mins just to get a refill on our chips and salsa. Never did the waitresses come to tell us that the kitchen was backed up or explain why it was taking so long. Took forever just to get drink refills also. Update And DONOT place a to go order a hour or so before closing!!! I always order the same thing whenever I go. When I got home and opened my container it was the most half a$$ed job I had ever seen. Fried pickles were soggy. I got honey chipotle crispers and they didn’t even bother to toss the crispers in the sauce, just put it on the side. Then I got southwest eggrolls and they didn’t even bother to cut them like they do when you dine in. I get they were closing in about 40 mins by the time I picked them up but there’s no reason to be lazy. And I’ve waitresses before so it might have been the kitchens fault but as a waitresses or the person who took the order it’s your job to check the food check the food also. UPDATE: 1÷29÷16 I still go to this chili’s every now and then. Now I prefer 54th street, but my grandparents have been going to this chili’s for about 4 years now. They are the type that if the service & food is good they will continue to go back, till the point that they become regulars. But they want their food/drinks to be the same as they always are when they get them. My grandpa really likes the patron margarita but lately now everytime that he gets one, it’s in a different shaped glass now, without the patron shaker(which it shows in the menu), and when he asks about it they always say they ran out. Which is what happen today, they official lost my grandparents service, and they no longer want to go there. We waited about 40 mins to be seated. Chili’s changed the menus, food portions are smaller but same price… We waited forever for our food, and when we finally did get it, it was cold. Everytime we asked for our waitress, it would take awhile for her to come to our table, and we could just see our drinks sitting at the bar. It even took 10 mins just for us to get a to go box.

Let’s start by saying the food was great. Got the smoked wings for an appetizer and they were very good. The entrées were great as well. My wife and i both got the fijitas. Now the server I think in my opinion had one two many tables she forgot a few things and played them off like they were in the back waiting. Have not been to chili’s in a while because of service and food problems but we would come again for the food.

This place sucks. Waited 30 minutes before even coming to take my order. Then food came slow and got no refills. I will never again eat at this place. Our server was extremely slow and rude.

We eat at this restaurant probably one a week and always sit at the bar. Their bartenders know how to make great drinks, prices are reasonable and food is consistent. Service is good so it is a no brainer for us. Some of our favs include the queso, tripple dipper, chicken flatbread and my husband loves the skillet cookie! I love their new cheeseballs… great menu addition. Though I do miss the potato skins!

We eat at this Chilis at least once a month and have never really had any issues. The only time we’ve had anything to complain about was one server who never refilled our drinks or checked on us, though we haven’t seen her since. Our last server I can’t brag enough about, always made sure our drinks were full and we had everything we needed, but never was hovering over us while we enjoyed our meal. I wish I could remember his name so he could get the credit he deserved. Overall I would definitely recommend this Chili’s to someone over any other one in San Antonio.

Two years ago, I wrote Chili’s off my list as a chain restaurant gone down the drain with their bland and all same-tasting menu choices. Then, with a chips and queso craving, I decided to order take out at this location a few nights ago. Luckily for my diet and the recent 23 pounds I’ve lost, they had some new lighter choices, including this 6oz sirloin meal with grilled avocados, garlic tomatoes, and a fresco salad. It was so satisfying, and so satisfyingly low calorie at 410 for the whole meal! I am pleased to return Chili’s to my weeknight dinner pickup list! 5 stars= Driving across town just for this! 4 stars= I would recommend visiting. 3 stars= Average, acceptable, positive. 2 stars= You might be able to drag me in. 1 star= I will definitely not be returning.

Honestly, I’m not sure if the stars does it justice lol. My truck was broken into while my daughter and I were inside eating. After discovering the break-in and shattered glass all over the inside of the truck, including on the driver’s seat and my daughter’s car seat. I went back inside the restaurant and the manager on duty not only got me a towel to clean the seats without cutting myself, he got me a trash bag to cover the window, so that it wouldn’t blow in my daughter’s face, and came out to make sure we were okay. Not entirely what I expected during a busy period at the restaurant, but kudos to the team there!

It’s always packed here, it seems. My whole family decided on Chilis for a late dinner, I advised our waitress we were short on time and she rushed our order. Our visit to this Chilis went exceptionally well considering out last visit to Chilis at the river walk was just terrible. The staff was a breath of fresh air. I love that they have those little tablet things at every table. Chilis did a fantastic job catering to families.

Waitperson was inattentive. My Dr. Pepper spent more time empty than full. My smokehouse bacon burger didn’t have the BBQ sauce, it was medium rare, not medium well, and it was too big to bite into. Fries were nothing special, and with my drink it was $ 13, also not special or worth the trip. You suck Chili’s.

It was late and my sister and I needed something to eat. Considering we are both just down the street off of Goliad we figured we couldn’t go wrong at Chili’s. Listen, for the most part our dining experience was good but the service we received was lacking. Our server, although I am sure he was a nice guy, never gave us a refill on our drinks(tea and lemonade) nor did he ask follow up questions regarding our food and/or order. Thankfully our food was great and things went well but I just could not understand why he would never come around even with a tea pitcher to refill us. For $ 2.50 a drink I kind of expect at least 1 refill. The place was hardly bumping in his section which led me to believe that he might have been already looking forward to getting off of work. I can’t blame the guy, it gets crunk here especially on the weekends. I checked in with my Unilocal app as well and noticed I was rewarded a free chips & salsa for checking in. I never saw the waiter in between the time we placed our order to the time it came out(about 20 mins). By the time our food came I was just hungry for my burger and didn’t care about the chips and salsa. I will make my way back to this location no doubt due to having my parents and sister live right down from CityBase and maybe cash in that chips & salsa special.

I tend to avoid chain restaurants but wanted a quick cold margarita and ended up here. The place was packed and we actually had to wait for a table. It wasn’t long and our super nice attentive waitress seated us. After a few confusing and scary movie like moments we realized she also had an identical twin working there. Hubby ordered the jalapeño smokehouse burger and it was delish. Who knew a burger from chili’s would be so good. But that bacon yum. I went generic and ordered the honey chipotle chicken strips and were suprised by just how good they were. I love the combination of salty and sweet. In all reality I guess it was over prices for chicken strips but I’d go back and give them another try.
