Food was way to salty, fish was still raw, corn on the cob was pure butter, salad had very little salad, and service was just ok. The manager was sitting and watching tv while we were there. I won’t be back.

This is a new restaurant to the 151 area and I decided to give it a try. I had the fish and shrimp plate. The fish was good but the shrimp were smaller than I was expecting. I also like that they have steak fries with your order. Although, the food can use some improvement, the service was quick and efficient. The restaurant environment is relaxed and great for families. I would return but stick only to the fish rather than shrimp.

My boyfriend suggested this place. It’s new and he said it was good. We ordered the fried mushrooms they were ok because they just came out of the fryer and were piping hot! But the batter was a little thick and needed a lot of seasoning. Even the gravy it came with was bland. Ok then we ordered California chicken salty. We tried the steamed snow crab that was really good and it had like Cajun seasoning. It came with four huge claws and 2 potatoes 2 corn on the cob. It was a really big portion. But that was the only thing that was really tasty. Now on the service it’s just sad because they really didn’t have any. Next time I go there I will take it togo.

Over the last couple of days I’ve gone to Capt. Bens and tried three different menu items. First was the jumbo burger~great flavor! good size burger! big tasty fries. Second~ the fish tacos, you get two tacos of grilled tilapia with coleslaw and a cilantro sauce, a bowl of borracho beans and dirty rice. Great flavor and amount of food was just right. This is one of my favorite plates so far. Third~ The pork on a bone is a bar food and is awesome! It’s three pieces of pork… well on a bone with a root beer BBQ sauce. This is the most tender pork I’ve had in a long time. It’s tasty and filling, with a beer and margarita during happy hour man I can’t wait for Friday. Staff was great and I got fast service. Dinning room is clean and folks are on top of cleaning tables and making sure every one gets served fast.

This was our second time eating here and I have to say the second time was even better than the first. We had such great service from being greeted at the door all the way through being thanked for eating there. The food again was amazing and now that they are serving craw fish know my husband will want to return more often. Even the manager came up to ask how our service and food was, believe her name was Patti. After this visit this place has now become one of our favorite places to eat!!! Well done Captain Ben’s

When my husband and I saw this place we were both pretty excited to have a new seafood place in the area. Unfortunately it was a disappointment. Service: The cashier looked like she would rather be any where else but there. She was short while taking our orders and not in the least way friendly or personable. Actually that goes for the rest of the staff as well. I did get to see the manager helping out later and she was wonderful with the customers she helped but she obviously doesn’t have the same expectations of her employees which is a shame. Food: I got the fried fish and shrimp plate and my husband got the shrimp poboy. It was all bland. The poboy didn’t even have a sauce or anything on it. We asked for tarter sauce(waited several minutes) then when we finally got it – it was ranch. By then we gave up. If u want seafood go to long john silver’s. It’s better than this place. ******oh and if u are still tempted to go they were recently inspected by the health department and received 29 demerits. Absolutely terrible! I can’t believe I ate there!!********

If you have a baby don’t come here. No changing tables in any of the bathrooms, bad start to a restaurant supposedly family friendly. We ordered our food and it took over 35 minutes to get to us. Wife had fried crawfish that was fried in old oil, not good. I had fried shrimp and fish. The shrimp was not cleaned was very heavily breaded. This was our first and last time to come here.

First time here AND we’re not disappointed at all. Great. It is very good. Crab cakes were great and the Fish Plate was also fresh, hot, and delicious. We came here Friday around 3:30pm and not very busy. Crab cake plate had 2 homemade Crab cakes with a side of Asparagus. Aioli sauce was in a small metal container. Two Hot and fresh Cod fillets, Steak fries, two little Jalapeño hush puppies, and some Texas Toast made up my plate. Tarter sauce was also very delicious. I love fish fillets. I now love these. Hot and fresh food all around. $ 23 for 2 drinks, a Crab cake plate, and a two Cod fillet, Steak fries, and Texas Toast. Not bad. We’ll be back tomorrow. (Or at least by Sunday; gotta have another ‘fix’ soon.)

Long wait, it took 39 minutes to get food; staff seemed confused. Not off to a good start for a new restaurant. Would not recommend during lunch break.

Wife and I thought we’d try it out. Like other seafood places where you order at counter then they bring to you. Couple more options(I had the crawfish tails, not bad). Wife ordered«stuffed shrimp». First, not stuffed. It’s a regular shrimp with stuffing balked up around it and fried. Problem was it’s now the size of a baseball and when fried the center stays raw. The shrimp was questionable but the stuffing was very wet and soggy as if not cooked through yet. Asked guy at counter who said yep that’s how it is. Horrible service I think. And girl at counter when ordering spaced out 3 times. They had also ran out of baked potatoes and argued who was gonna tell that customer.

So came her last night to check out the new spot and I am going to say that I am indifferent. The menu options have a lot of different things from regular seafood, creole, soups/salads, to even burgers. This place had an outdoor patio so I thought if I like it I could bring Rogue here so I could dine with the pooch :) Overall this place reminded me a lot of Sea Island. The coconut shrimp plate was a decent size but I feel like instead of fries why isn’t rice or some other real side what comes with it? Though, I must say the fries were pretty good. The coconut shrimp came with this really sweet and tangy pineapple sauce. So darn delicious! Problem is the shrimp they use is the kind that are split in two. I’m not sure what kind it is but it makes it hard to scoop out the sauce which was irritating. It also came with jalapeño hush puppies but I wasn’t able to enjoy them because I’m allergic to jalapeños.(See now all the people who don’t like me know how to kill me off lol!) Overall they layout of the restaurant isn’t bad and they even have a small bar that you can sit at and drink a beer or watch the game. I will definitely go back and try this place out but for the price of crab and amount it seems you would get here I would go to Joes. Some of this food was as much as Red Lobster but its like a fast food joint kind of. Inner fat kid says: If a shrimp is split it two, to scoop the sauce you might need a spoon.
