The place doesn’t look nice… The table and chairs don’t match. The waitress moves us to put our plates down. She wants to hand you the plate or hand you the cups of drinks… Food was good though so that was a plus

It used to be one of Blanco Café’s locations. As a kid I’d come here with my grandparents, now it’s Blanco Kitchen and if it seems familiar then you’re on the right track. This is the next generation of the family who owned Blanco Café. They kept all of the staples and created a whole slew of great specials for breakfast and lunch. I got an order of cheese enchiladas with a crispy taco. It tasted as good as it did during my childhood. The enchilada plates are standing specials, plus there are daily specials which look wonderful too. Their prices are fantastic, too. I’ll definitely come back, there are many items on the menu that I’m really looking forward to trying.

Who is writing these reviews. This restaurant is awful. I ordered 2-​cheese enchiladas only. I got 3-​beef enchiladas, rice & beans. I ordered a guacamole puffy taco and got a beef puffy taco. The meat was raw. There must have been enough salt in my order to fill Olmos Damn. I told the cashier just to bring all this to her attention. I was not looking for a free handout. I paid the bill in full and left a nice tip. PS: My friend ordered two bean and cheese tacos. The cheese was not melted; the tacos were cold.

Haven’t been here in over ten years and everything is as good as then. There’s been an ownership change but the quality hasn’t suffered at all. The beans and tortillas are spectacular. I used to come here once or twice a week when I lived around the corner. I still would keep that schedule. Based on the other plates I saw come out I want to come back for lunch. The extra star is for the tortillas
