Wow, you have to try this. Fresh, home cooked food. The calabazita con pollo was light, flavorful and served with homemade corn tortillas. The Asado de Puerco is unlike anything I have had before, seasoned well and fairly lean and is great on either the homemade flour or corn tortillas. The barbacoa and beef asada are fantastic as well. The food is made fresh daily and there is a risk they might run out of things as the day ends. No worries, I believe anything you order will be delightful. PS don’t miss the aguas frescas!

First time here, but judging by the service alone, I am sure to be back. So nice to our family and my daughter, friendly as all outdoors. I just moved in down the street, so having a local place like this is fantastic.

What a cute little restaurant. The thing that caught my eye was the large yellow print of aquas frescas. The pictures on the wall are so adorable. The food looks amazing and it’s set up so nicely on Styrofoam plates. It really brings a tear to my eye to see how hard this owner has worked to bring their dream of owning a restaurant to life. The food was pretty delicious and very authentic. The aquas frescas definitely could have been served in a super extra large cup, but their cup was pretty standard. I just really, really like the drink.

I have been curious about this tiny, in-the-corner, unassuming place. Well, the food was spectacular! The homemade corn tortillas were perfection… a little thick, perfectly cooked and the flavor was incredible. The Asada and pork on a spit(my English translation) was divine. The rice and beans were a good accompaniment but the meat was the real prize here.

Great accidental find here. Hand made food items and she is fixing my fav Mex item, fried fresh jalapenos. This is real Mex chow here.

Loved this place! I generally don’t write reviews, but my husband and I loved the food here so much. They just opened their doors in a small shopping plaza we happened to stumble upon driving by. We are so glad we did! There are a lot of Mexican restaurants in San Antonio, but this one is a gem. The owner was extremely friendly and walked us through the ordering process — they are still working out the routine, but we didn’t care. The food was delicious! Try the pork on the kebab they use as a taco filling! We took some home with us it was so good. We really liked the ranchero beans too. They roll the handmade tortillas to order. Yum! Definitely try this new restaurant.
